@yokoto021 I used to regret and feel really bad all the time about stuff that i did to myself and to others. that is untill i truly truly believed that jesus bore all my pain and all my sin on the cross so i didnt have to. but i encourage you friend to believe that jesus took away all our guilt and it was laid on him that day on the cross, when you do this you wont regret everything bad in your life, instead you will have hope and you will feal a weight lifted off your shoulders i cant describe.

Jesus was a carpenter that worked w/ wood. When ppl use the "Potter" reference to God, it means that he is the potter who formed us from clay, who shapes & molds our lives. It's not a literal thing; just a Biblical xpression of how we are His created beings ^_^ Don't ever stop waiting on Jesus; the Lord rewards those who diligently seek Him.

We have to have it in the centre of the rotator or else it will tear apart.
Water being the word of god....we are to be centered on christ or else we will tear apart.Then only he can mould us;we will se his will for our lives and great things.W will be sanctified and bear much fruit and ultimately be fishers of men to the one and only living god.

The thing is we all have free will and in His omniscience God knows who will choose Him and who will reject Him. As a person continues to choose sin and to reject God, their heart will be hardened over time. As we seek God he moulds our lives like a potter, the Holy Spirit gently guiding us to be like Him.
yeah, i believe God is the potter and that he has the right to do with His 'pottery' what he wants. He chooses who he wants to show mercy on (or save) and who He wants to harden. Romans 9 clearly states that God chooses his people. I dont' know why alot of people think its up to us. God is the potter!

Yes its painful! God has been molding my distorted life for some time now, all because I asked him to. It has caused me to be seeing hardship where none was and enemies where friendship was. He even though it causes me to hollow, am thanking God cause now am becoming a vessel for the master's use and light to the world. My shape is slowing showing and things are slowly getting easier as I depend on God to meet my needs.

This song means so much to me. It gave me courage to leave my abusive husband. Someone gave a tongue while we were singing this that changed how I sing and hear this song.
Please don't sing it lightly. Think about what you are asking God. When a potter is working, if something isn't right he pulls the clay up, makes it back into a ball, kneads it and works it again before reshaping it. If a peice of clay could talk would it be grateful? Would it enjoy the process?
God doesn't expect us to go through it all without pain, if you expect that then your faith will fail when the process hurts. BUT He is always there, whenever it hurts He holds our hand, He carries us and He never leaves us. Just don't expect to enjoy the experience!

Clay is made to be molded. It becomes pliable and elastic. Pain comes from resistance to the Potter's molding. If you have pain in the presence of God the Potter, it is totally from your own lack of faith and trust in what He is doing with your life. No one is perfect and we will all feel that pain, but is wholely our own fault.

God is amazing! About a year ago I heard this song for the first time, I had been struggling with my relationship with Jesus for a few months prior to that for numerous reasons, but God spoke to me when the choir at Women of Grace retreat at Muskoka Baptist Conference sang this song. We all have to submit ourselves daily to God no matter what we are experiencing, this song reminds me each time I listen to it how easy it is to follow our own will and not God's plan for our lives.

The thing is we all have free will and in His omniscience God knows who will choose Him and who will reject Him. As a person continues to choose sin and to reject God, their heart will be hardened over time. As we seek God he moulds our lives like a potter, the Holy Spirit gently guiding us to be like Him.

yeah, i believe God is the potter and that he has the right to do with His 'pottery' what he wants. He chooses who he wants to show mercy on (or save) and who He wants to harden. Romans 9 clearly states that God chooses his people. I dont' know why alot of people think its up to us. God is the potter!

Yes its painful! God has been molding my distorted life for some time now, all because I asked him to. It has caused me to be seeing hardship where none was and enemies where friendship was. He even though it causes me to hollow, am thanking God cause now am becoming a vessel for the master's use and light to the world. My shape is slowing showing and things are slowly getting easier as I depend on God to meet my needs.

isnt it easy to ask God to mold us but when he starts doing it we cry out for him to stop! My brothers and sisters, trust me its a very painful experience to be molded by God. ever image what a piece of distorted clay go through? However, its a glory to see the finish product produce by the potter's hands. Thats what God wants from us when he starts to mold us.

this is so true, and when you start to see that molding hurts and that moves beyond crying and praying and asking...it is life changing. Being broken and molded by God is no joke, the very core of your person will be challenged according to the Word. Nevertheless, I want to be stand up and be counted as a Christian. God is so awesome. As a US Marine, we are taught to show no emotions. I had tears running down my cheek as I heard this song. I know that I've done a lot of bad things in my life as well as in Battle. But, I also know that GOD has forgiven me and wiped away my sin. this is the song we were singing one day in church when God just called to me to cast aside the worries of the world and give my life to him and let him mold me. i was a christian beofre this but i sure wasnt acting like it. i knew from this point on i knew i needed to clean up my act i broke down crying and prayed and he has worked miricles in this sinner.

We expect so often to sit back and allow God to work in our life without giving our life to Him, without expecting it to hurt and be a painful process.
Through this song and message God told me He would work me into someone new but it would hurt and that I should trust Him. He gave me strength and hope to walk away. God is indeed good!

This song means so much to me. It gave me courage to leave my abusive husband. Someone gave a tongue while we were singing this that changed how I sing and hear this song.
Please don't sing it lightly. Think about what you are asking God. When a potter is working, if something isn't right he pulls the clay up, makes it back into a ball, kneads it and works it again before reshaping it. If a peice of clay could talk would it be grateful? Would it enjoy the process?

God doesn't expect us to go through it all without pain, if you expect that then your faith will fail when the process hurts. BUT He is always there, whenever it hurts He holds our hand, He carries us and He never leaves us. Just don't expect to enjoy the experience!

Clay is made to be molded. It becomes pliable and elastic. Pain comes from resistance to the Potter's molding. If you have pain in the presence of God the Potter, it is totally from your own lack of faith and trust in what He is doing with your life. No one is perfect and we will all feel that pain, but is wholely our own fault.

God is amazing! About a year ago I heard this song for the first time, I had been struggling with my relationship with Jesus for a few months prior to that for numerous reasons, but God spoke to me when the choir at Women of Grace retreat at Muskoka Baptist Conference sang this song. We all have to submit ourselves daily to God no matter what we are experiencing, this song reminds me each time I listen to it how easy it is to follow our own will and not God's plan for our lives.
