@SuperRobotWar yes and it was also used Season 5 Ep 2 Memento Mori. The song choice was to make the transition from one series to the other a little easier on the viewers, and a whole new series of music was created based on the one score originating from Road to Avonlea.
@CBCRadioGirl. Aside from the Bowmanville Museum and the school beside, and some of the Main Street, do you have any other suggestions/addresses for good filming locations to visit? I would love to visit one day to see some of the spots.
The first two seasons were great the third had its moments and some of the fourth seasons episodes were really good but from 1/2 way through the fourth season the writers seemed to lose their way sometimes taking so much time to build up to a dramatic climax that they'd have to race through the big moment and then speed through the conclusion of the story I would wager that bad ratings and changing demographics killed this show in the end that and the writers had seemed to run out of ideas
Wow... I miss this show! A good deal of the first season was filmed in and around my hometown of Bowmanville, ON. I was 11 when it premiered in December 1996, and I was a faithful viewer till the end. (And the first few seasons were *so* much better than the later ones. It wasn't the same at all without Cynthia Belliveau as Honey...)
I really miss this show. To me, this beautiful theme harkens back to a time when Canadians had much less money in their hands, but much more time & love for their families.
hi! i come from italy and we are watching this show only now (it started a month ago)...i like it! and i love the soundtrack, so please can anyone tell me the author of the music or just a way to get it? thank you so much!

Did it occur to anyone that during the last Episode of Road to Avonlea (Season 7 Ep 13).
At the very last scene, they used this exact theme to end the series?

@CBCRadioGirl wasn't the Bowmanville Museum used as the Bailey House for the exterior shots??
craze352 2 years ago
Yup. The inside is different than it appears in WAMB -- they used sets for the show.
The Bowmanville Museum is a pretty nice place in real life, as well.
