Michael Moore's net worth is 50 million dollars. Moore makes much, much more than your average CEO. and he's made his money running around like a Fat Rodeo Hobo, playing to the fears of the real poor, Shame ! Shame ! Shame !
So do you think he'd trade in the millions he's made from his movies for a true socialistic system? Be honest. Do you think he really wants to share his wealth with the jobless people hanging out at OWS?
@Hero2many Some wealthy people do not bow down to gold in spite of what you think. Those that value gold over justice will have their eyes opened and in their lives before it is all over. Throughout human history the poor in spirit have fared badly in the end.
@Hero2many - He didn't make his money at the expense of the U.S. taxpayer or off of the backs of the poor and middle class so why should he share it ? Moore is a liberal whose ideology benefits the vast majority of people . As "TheElMoisEvil " said "people are not upset at people being successful. People are upset at people gaming the system". Prior to the election of Reagan most moms stayed home while dad worked, a new car loan was for 36 months and most of us could afford health insurance
@Hero2many because many people watch his films, something he has no control over. He has said something that many people agree with: people don't have to take the injustices of their economic and political systems. If you don't do anything the corporate bastards who don't give a sh*t about you will always have their way with you and they already did, it seems, by calling Michael Moore anti-American. if you love your country you praise its successes but criticise its flaws also.
Services sector should be reformed public system...
Health care, guns, military privatization should never. It is owned by the public of the democratic state and should be controlled. It can not be privately owned. However, the U.S. has legalized it in danger.
@korean701 Guns are privatized so we can have a way to defend ourselves from an overpowering government and so we don't have to be completely dependent on the government for protection. Health care is privatize because the federal government has no business in it. It may seem like a right to people like you but I see it as another way for the federal government to control your life. Government programs only benefti the people when we control the government.
@korean701 The US constitution is a vital blue print in order for a country of our size and power to remain together. It was designed to give states the rights to govern themselves but yet give citizens the ability to control government through federal rights. Problem is is that many politicians have ignored the constitution and just did what they wanted in increasing the size of the federal government creating chaos.
@whyamimrpink78 U.S. citizens are ashamed themselves. Freedom, vanity deceived the United States Constitution, was the collapse of democracy.U.S. citizens should be ashamed of themselves.
@whyamimrpink78 -No, the problem is that all too many of our citizens are more interested in football then politics and have little understanding of the issues. There are many good politicians who fight the good fight everyday but sadly voters don't always vote for such people. The Patriot Act was a prime example of "ignoring the constitution". Did you support the patriot act ? Many small minded voters support those who do not support them and don't know the difference. Ignorance is the enemy
@urparanoia I don't support the patriot act. I don't support anything that increases the power of the federal government. You are right, people don't know the issues. They go to the federal government to solve problems that only the states should take care of (like Katrina, health care, jobs) thus creating a centralize government. The founding fathers wanted the fed. govern. to be a means to control all governments, meaning local government. It wasn't suppose to be the main form of government.
@whyamimrpink78 -Actually government is government and it really makes no difference if that government is federal or state. Sure the repubs will try to tell you it make a difference and claim that "government is too big" but at they same time it was they who grew government in a big way during the Dubya yrs. They also welcome government contract for weapons manufacturers and even passed a unfunded entitlement in 2003 which was nothing more then corporate welfare at tax payer expense.
@whyamimrpink78 -My problem with the P. Act is that it takes away some of our constitutional rights. Repubs basically want the gov to not regulate business in any way.Every time conserves succeed with deregulation the poor and middle class get the bill.In the 80's Reagan paved the way for S+L's to invest customer money in risky business ventures and that one cost taxpayers 125 Billion $.And as Greenspan told congress in 2008 "flawed conservative ideology caused the financial meltdown"
@whyamimrpink78 -Not regulating OTC Derivatives contributed in a BIG way to the meltdown.Congress was warned of the dangers and people such as Greenspan fought regulation.Nearly 10 yrs to the day after such warnings those warnings became reality .Conservatism has brought this country to its knees.Take a look at what happened to Iceland when they adopted conserve ideology. Iceland is the most pure experiment in this regard. Take a look at Iceland before and after deregulation.
