As a true fan of this song, I can agree to a point. I think if anything, it's incredible that they've busted this one out, this a very unexpected surprise on this tour. However, during the choruses, it doesn't sound like the right chords are being played. Obviously, the Edge overdubs in the recording, but he should just stick to the jangly leads. It was def. better the second night. Also, they play the album version, I def. prefer the radio mix version, they should play that one

I'm an insane fan of the Edge, and the chorus chords he uses are not EXACT, they miss one chord and I've played guitar for just as long as you and cover this song. Maybe they've changed the way they should play it, a lot of bands do that with different versions of their songs. Relax yourself, I'm certainly not attacking the Edge, I just think they should play the radio mix version of the song and he should do the leads over the chorus like he normally does. You're an ass
The Edge can be a perfectionist. You are right in your request of precision. And maybe he dropped the song cause he knows that to be good he must do the original solo as it is.
Thanks, I play in a band myself, so I know how hard it can be when you have an amazing song in the studio not translate very well in a live situation. I still totally love this song and it still sounds great live, I just wish they played the other version, this one takes too long to get up to speed in my opinion. They hit the chorus sooner in the other version. Bottom line, the Edge can do whatever the hell he wants because he's a genius and a great guy.

I think guitar is ok and Bono's voice is in great shape. Maybe they could rock and jam little bit more before ending the song :) Still very nice to listen this live. I think this is a very beautiful and melodic song.
Bono's voice is much stronger than in Barcelona. Edge's choice of guitar riffs needs some work, but otherwise this song is coming together very well live.

Absolutely beautiful! They played this song for the very first time live in Barcelona, second time in Milan. I was there and so happy because it's one of my all time favourites. Guitar sounds a bit strange in the chorus, but Bono's voice was absolutely awsome. What a dark beauty this song is, I hope they don't drop it from the set. Great to see such rarities surfacing.
Gotta agree about the guitar leading into the choruses. The rest of the song seems to be shaping up pretty well live, but that part sounds awful. It seems off-key and off-tempo. Edge must have some sort of effect pedal in his arsenal that can at least SOMEWHAT replicate the studio version, wouldn't he? I would imagine that's why he's playing it the way he is, because he hasn't. Or maybe they just wanted to wreck that part. :) Who knows?

ma se noti the edge e clayton non hanno un filo che penzola da basso e chitarra quindi se la viaggiavano tutto il tempo.
