  • That man is physically challenged but he overcame it LIKE A BOSS! Also, that engine is freaking beautiful!

  • why got one 1 dislikes?!

  • ドリフト天国っていう雑誌で吉田真也さん知ったけど、とても凄いと思いましたねー

  • Overwhelm with the controls.

  • 確かにすごいが、慣れてない操作が多いから面倒くさそうだなw

  • Speechless...when there's a WILL there's a WAY :)

  • I can't walk, but I can drift. Man, if you can drift, who needs walking!? I'm so happy to see this. I was actually googling to see if any handicapped drift drivers existed. So glad at least one does. More should.

  • you push the button on the shifter and it actuates the clutch. its not mechanical in the sense that youre not pushing your foot down. basically you push the button and it triggers a relay which opens a hydraulic valve, that in turn sends fluid to the throw-out bearing. switches in a lowrider, or joysticks in an excavator work the same way.

  • standing ovations

  • im just trying to understand the clutch (someone wanna explain that to me?). everything else makes sense to me, and boy, what an amazing piece of work!

  • haha. at least he doesnt have to worry about his legs if he crashes

  • @89pabs don't be disrespectful,not funny...

  • @Nightstorm2911 sorry mate, just black humor

  • Thats Awesome but fuck it looks difficult very high level of skill there!

  • fucking hell. damn thats good driving. :O he made that look so fucking easy too.

bet you he still had to fight for all the sponsers and everything tho

  • Holy fuck... I´ve never been speachless... But this guy is fenominal! By the way the car he is driving looks also pretty awesome! :)

  • @klramon Toyota Cresta is on JZX 100 chassis...pretty much the Japanese analog of BMW M5. These were some of the last models in which Toyota used straight six.

  • @hondacivic1992 is it not the Toyota chaser? No the M5 is in different class. It is bigger, heavier and more powerful.

  • @klramon The top-model chaser has the same I6 engine the supra does. The cresta uses the same chassis as the chaser, and the mark II. It has 280hp stock, but thats from the factory due to a gentlemen's agreement between all japanese automakers. If you jailbreak it it has just under 400. BMW is more luxury yes, but on the track, they are comparable. He is probably using the supra engine, if not, then the 2.5L turbo. These cars are good for drifting due to long wheelbase.

  • @hondacivic1992 i know they are... But the annoying thing is that i can't import one in Germany... Ok i can import it but i am not allowed to drive it on the public roads due the rhd headlights. There isn't any replacement for them in lhd countries. On the other hand the bmw isn't bad either. But if drive a "native" Japanese car in Germany it is quite cool because there are only handful of them in entire country. And that feel good. :)

  • @klramon You can have headlights custom-made but it will be expensive. or have it registered in Ireland, then just bring it to Germany, since both are EU, you should have no problem registering it. In that case, all you will need to add is a rear fog light.

In Russia, we have many RHD cars, especially in the far east, where 95% of all cars are RHD JDM (cops drive them too - Mark II mostly).

  • @hondacivic1992 i asked once how much will it cost to make this headlights. 1750 € each (hella). Two headlights cost about the same as the second hand chaser. It is just way too expensive. Yes i've heard about it. I heard as well that government in far east part of Russia asked if they could change the rules and make the east part of Russia rhd and the west part with lhd. It was rejected wasn't it?

If you've got cheap and reliable Japanese cars near by why not to buy them? :)

  • @klramon It is too expensive to change the side of the road which is why it was rejected. Yes, they are good cars, in fact if you are buying second-hand you will not find a better value. Not to mention they last forever. But they just made import taxes on all second hand imports into Russia bigger.

You expect to get a Chaser Tourer V for 1750 Euro? A regular chaser 2.0 Automatic, yes, but tourer Vs are rare, they go for 12000USD in Far East Russia last time I checked (before taxes)

  • @hondacivic1992 3500 you need two of them. :) And for 3750 you can buy a second hand Chaser. But importing this car is complete different story. In Germany you have to pay 19% of the car price but the real pain in the ass will be the registration and inspections because your car has to match some guidelines and safety regulations. Trust me in Russia you have to pay more but then you'll get your number plates. In Germany you will work for months to make it road legal.

  • @klramon Why don't you search for one in Britain, Cyprus, or Ireland? They drive on the right, and second-hand Japanese cars are popular there, plus they are EU, so you should not have any problems with German Registration.

Overall, chaser is a good car, my friend's mom had a '98 it ran like a beast, started in -40 Russian cold with no problems, and was well-suited to Russian roads (and lack thereof), now he has it with 550,000km on odo, all original parts, runs like new.

  • congratulations to the company that sponsored and helped him! .... and do not ''let him go'' because of the disability

  • I remember seeing his car featured in one of my issues of super street a few years back.

  • a nicely built car!! this is exellent! i love when things like this happen and make a persons dream come true.. very happy for the boy! Thanks to TEAM WELD! wonderful!

  • They should've installed the gas pedal on the other side of the steering wheel so it's like he's pulling a trigger... I feel like he would have a lot more better throttle control like that... Makes more sense too. lol. Or they should've just wired up everything to a Xbox 360 controller lol. Shit looks way too confusing to drive. But the way they setup the gas pedal is really bothering me, they should mount it on the back side of the steering wheel!!!

  • Da da razrbrah vi kakvo mi prikazvate :D

  • this video inspired me to drive a manual car again been a wheelchair user, i now drive a celica gt4 st205 but use a duck clutch which i have full control of the clutch over and exactly the same accelerator and brake system ,it is also in the region of 400whp at moment with upgraded turbo soon and over 500 and that all on a fully road legal car i use everyday

  • omedetooooo gozaimass...........iiii no hito, gambateeee zutoooo watashi no tomodati

  • ya have to have respect for this fella, hes got skills drifting just using his hands thats alot of controls to manage without his feet.

  • cool that it has a light sensor on top of the e-brake and shift knob so it will engage the clutch when the light beam is tripped

  • i could smoke his ass if i were disabledd and a playstation controller was adapted to an ae86

  • @asiancustoms careful what you wish for or I may just disable you myself. And PS2 driving is nowhere even close to driving a car.

  • He was paralyzed from the waist down when he had a bike accident at 17.

then @ 19 was his drifting debeut. Sterring wheel accelerator

    colum foot brake

the sensor on the gear shift knob goes to a motor that actuates the clutch

the e-brake has a sensor to actuate the clutch also

the last lever goes the clutch master cylinder for doing clutch kicks

  • Respects to him for all of my heart!!!

  • this dude has skill much respect for chasing his passion no matter what got in the way

  • bend that e-brake lever 90 degrees to the right(toward the driver) and it will make hell of a difference i think

  • i red about him in hot4s mag today.....hes a fucking legend.......good on ya

  • thats gotta take lots of concentration to do a drift with hand controls. good on him. ^^

  • so how does he accelerate?

  • think sliding part on the steering wheel moron... list to what their saying

  • yeah well im not fucking japanese. how about you learn how to spell in english. if i knew what they were saying why would i ask a simple question? smart ass

  • @boomerslayer It's called watch what they're doing and use your brain to interpret. You're not that stupid.

  • The secondary inner ring on the middle of the steering wheel is acceleration. That stick that's on the left side of the wheel is brake, and clutch is the longer stick + sensor on the shift knob I believe.

  • hes using his hands

  • would this be legal on the streets.....? LOL

  • AMAZING!!

  • absolutely amazing

  • Good on him, what a legend!!!

  • absolutly awesome!!!!

  • JAPAN ICHI BAN!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • I read an interview of this guy and about the car from.. I think it was Banzai Magazine or Japanese Performance few years back. I was amazed about it.

  • Damnnnnnn, this dude is totally sick! I've never seen anything like this! He's like the Japanese version of Alex Zanardi!

  • toyota is out of the sports car game in the US now,and all cars are going AWD instead of RWD it seems

  • Cresta is a great car! Where are today's Cresta's, Toyota!?

  • Man i'll bash your cresta GTO style :)

  • thats cool

  • Respect

  • Max respect to the guy! cant use legs but can still drift like nobody's business!

  • でも後半日あれば結構いいとこ行けそう

  • he WAS a disabled drifter... weld was just leveling the playing field so now he can demonstrate his super-human abilities!!! hahaha, sorry i just wanted to be corny. Anyways, rock on wheelchair guy!

    P.S.

i saw him in SuperStreet too :]

  • すごい大変そうですね。

    でもさすがWeld完全オーダーメイド

  • thats main!

  • don't fucking underestimate the disabled, half of you can't drift as good.

  • @hokman1 This video inspired me. I'm a T3 paraplegic see my video "Disabled Driver Sliding an SS". I'm only new at motorsport but my goal is to get into drifting.

  • @hokman1 Neither of the two guys drifting is disabled.

It's the owner of WELD and Waku Waku san KAZAMA.

  • Thats cool. the button on top of ebrake is a clutch button! sick...

very nice built car. so nice

  • that guy has alot of skill to be able to do that so well

  • whooo!!! Yoshi Shinya!!!

  • is that rodeo clown yasuyuki?

  • This guy is my hero, seriously. It must take a lot of skill to control the whole car by hand, literally. My hat goes off you to you!

  • The steeringwheel in the middle is his "gas pedal" ;)

  • u mean gas "wheel" lol. cuz pedals are for feet :) hahaha. who needs feet???? lol. jk

  • im wondering that too

  • wow that guy is awesome

  • Props to that guy, that's awesome

  • this is inspiring!

  • go yoshi you got mad skills and a mad car. weld churn out some of the sickest jzx's around.

  • very nice lux...

  • thats pretty crazy

  • madskills, its already hard drifting with hands and feet, this guy's just amazig. talk about having your hands full.

  • yup i got that issue ^_^

  • thats dat same guy i saw in the SUPER STREET mag i believe last year.

  • There's a light sensor on the RHS of the shift-knob, which detects the person's hand on the knob. This operates a motor which disengages the clutch, thus allowing him to change gears.

  • how the clutch work ????? i just wish i knew what they were saying.

  • theres a clutch button on the side of the shift knob. at least thats what i think he said. although there is such a thing as clutchless shifting. he might just be in one gear the whole time.

  • yes there is a clutch button on the shifter, and there is also a lever next to the shifter that is also a chotch for clutch kicks

  • Not a button... it is a Sensor... only putting your hand there and oks...

  • man thats alot to do with your hands rock on disabled guy

  • be great if someone could translate this whole thing, its awesome i just wish i knew what they were saying.

  • me to

  • its good to know that the he never let his disability hamper his life. drift on kid

    車に対する想いが凄いですね。

  • absolutely badass.

  • only 1 word awsome good on him !

  • that was really cool but at least i know what each part is for

  • Wow, this guys is amazing!

  • His name is Yoshi Shinya from Yokohama Japan. He had an accident on his Honda NSR 250 motorcycle on the Akagi mountains when he was 17. He broke his back and lost use of his legs , this is why he is in a wheel chair today.

  • ohh i see.. i can't see what ppl are talking about here what going on... sorry about that saying something in first topic.. that man's legs got hurt.. and sitting wheels chair.. he's use that big gear turn drifting.. wow.. but it is worrie him he would get danger if he an get accident if on racing track drive too extreme fast..
