I remember when i got my first guitar, well actually my little brother found it in a dumpster after someone set it on fire. So ya your're SG is totally cool...
Is this mini tone master better than a Marshall MS-2 or MS-4? And is it better than a Pocket Pod? I'm searching for something what is portable and sound good for the holidays...
You should get the line6 pocket pod then. It comes with pretty mature guitar models of all the popular amps and cabinets. Not to mention tons of effects.
You don't get a big fat sound with a mini amp, with the modelling of the POD you do. No speakers attached though.
I played a mini Tonemaster today, along with an MS-2 and an Orange mini Crush.
I found the Marshall to be useless. The moment I rolled the guitar volume to anything less than 10 I lost all volume.
The Orange was pretty good. Built in tuner, VERY sturdy, nice and loud.
Tonally, it was the Tonemaster all the way. Using it with a Squier Classic Vibe 60's strat and on the middle pickup, amp volume and tone on 8 and gain on 3, I was able to get distortion on chords and clean on lead.
the fender mini '57 deluxes are better in my opinion, they have a wider variety of sounds, and can go into full overdive without sounding like itll explode
You idiots try to say he doesn't deserve his guitar when it's his guitar he can do what the hell he wants . The guitar is there to be played. "Deserve",... what a retarded concept to conceive about this guy and what he does with his life. You don't deserve a brain.
Yeah true, some kids spent their money on computer games, other on collecting stuff, I spend my money to guitar stuff, I just play for 10 months and I play like 6 hours per day when I'm free, I play a 400 euro 2nd hand fender mex strat, and a 600 euro 2nd hand Peavey Ultra Tube 112 :)
depends on your circumstances, wheather you have the money to throw around, if you travel and like to play whenever where-ever, but it's up to you, check out ebay, there about AU$70, i reakon there pretty cool! haha
Well I played a couple of songs such as back in black, you shook me all night long, black dog, and oh pretty woman. It can run on a 9 volt battery or plug it in with an adapter.
I'm really not sure what an acoustic sounds like through one because i don't own one, but I know that marshall makes a few different models and fender also makes more.
You don't own an acoustic? Dude, that's how you learn! If you can rock on one of those, switching to electric would be a piece of cake! Too bad you ruined it...

I usually gig with this through my Ernie Ball Petrucci guitar. When I play in large venues I connect 2 cell phone speakers to use as speaker cabinets

Yeah but the reason I would prefer this is because it looks more like a little toy. I know it doesn't matter much. I just want to hold it so bad!!!!@
