I liked Fay Grim and anyone that was expecting another HENRY FOOL. You're the fool  Fay Grim was a great movie in it's own right.

Those stupid camera angles drove me nuts. I agree that Henry Fool just didn't have to work so hard to be brilliant. Watching Faye Grim was just painful. My theory on it is that it was one of Henry's badly written memoirs.

i love this movie. not as good as henry fool, but it doesn't try to rehash everything that worked about HF.

It's the age-old problem of a failed attempt to monetize (Othewrwise known as "getting payed") on an idea who's very power derives from the fact that it's un-monetizable. (In fact it's the key theme of the film itself !!). Fay Grim was so sadly and obviously an ill-fated attempt to cash out. All the same actors we're doing completely different characters in Fay Grim !! ("Don't call it 'the industry'".....Quick, what film is that quote from ?)

BUT BUT ! Everyone knows that Fay Grim SUCKED horribly !!! And Henry Fool was BRILLIANT because it wasn't straining to be, nor did it ever occur to the filmmakers at the time that it would be, a GREAT piece of work !! That's how it works you dumbasses !!
