plz google "NASA sanskrit report" to find abt a stunning article by NASA scientist rick briggs abt the application of sanskrit in artificial intelligence .Sanskrit is the language of vedas(the standard benchmark of hinduism)
the reason why there are so many gods in hinduism is bcos u can choose the god u like the most to reach the supreme truth(god). It is just like choosing either maths or physics or biochemistry etc to do research based upon ur "interest" to experience the same scientific bliss.u see at the at the end of the day there is no one science or two science but "only " science .That is exactly what hinduism talks abt there is "only" god
u hav got most of the part right bro.small correction though.
the abrahamic religions belive in one god but vedas say there is only god.did u get the diff b/w saying ,"there is only one god" and saying there is "only" god?i think that makes a lot of difference .isnt it?
the vices (like animal sacrifice ,caste system) of hinduism are introduced by the evil minded ones.the Vedas talk abt universal equality and brotherhood.
apart from these points u gave nice facts.appreciate ur interest in the most ancient of all religions.to really gain insight into hinduism plz google "agniveer"
site .u will know loads of info.
may u live a wondeful life that wud take humanity to new zenith of freedom.
the caste system which is practiced in india is disease which has crept in and no birth based partiality has been mentioned in vedas.this disease needs to be eradicated from itz roots from india.
-btw vedas consist of four parts(rigveda, samaveda, athrwanaveda, yajurveda)
which are the standard benchmark of hinduism(unfortunately u mentioned only rigveda is the sacred book)
there is no caste system in hinduism.u actually mentioned the four varnas(itz not caste) as wrong.the right ones are
1)brahmins
2)kshatriyas
3)vyshas
4)sudras
there are no "untouchables" in the varna(caste) system.
*brahmin actually means an person who has an elevated level of education .like the present day professors.if u are a scholar in (m)any field(s) of education u r a brahmin.

(cont 2)dear julianne stanford ,
*kshatriya are the warriors who fight in defense of ur country ,so if u decide to become a milatary personnel u r a kshatriya
*vyshyas are the business people .so if u decide to be next bill gates u r a vyshya
*sudras are the ones who do the jobs in company in farmland or anywhere .so if get placed after ur education u r a sudra
so u see it is ur decision to become a brahmin or kshatriya or vyshya or a sudra nothing to do with ur birth.
