Bobby was the A-hole who made the scene by bringing uninvited guests. period. I don't feel sorry for him.

He should have had his place to speak at the funeral if he wanted to, and seats should have been reserved for him and who ever he had with him, 5 or more. That's wrong. When you love someone, you have to honor their wish when they die, not yours or how you feel towards things. I was not pleased.

It came out ok at this funeral,but overall she had ruined her voice.Yes,she could sing better than the average joe went it came through, but it rarely came through,& she continued to smoke up until her death, and drink too much and who knows what else.it's sad, but it's the truth no matter how big of a fan you are-that's reality

Her voice suffered the abuse of drugs and smoking for many years. Her voice has also aged, so definitely not what it was back in the day, but here....it sounds pretty good, but nothing like it was or what it could have been if she had taken care of it.

@trerochelle i dont think ppl were saying that she "couldnt sing", i think they were saying that the overall quality of her voice had declined over the last few years. Her voice was much much lower & huskier in the last few years of her life, and she literally wasn't able to fully sing any of her signature #1 hits and ballads. But she could still sing better than most of the ppl out today, its just when compared to how she sounded in her prime years (1984-1997) she sounded totally different =)

Whitney's voice is a lot different after the cocaine, but it's not bad. She just has to adapt to her new abilities. She can still sing, and every now and again u hear a little note from the old days. lol
@riyansmom The cocaine did little to change her voice. The actual fact that she had nodules and had them taken out is what made her voice darker sounding. But she still has a lot of power when she sings :)

Human nature is to protect and defend those we love and admire and WH has had a profound influence on ppl as individuals and on the music industry as a whole.....but i also know that ppl will lie to thmeselves. Just in last few days I have realized how Whitney's religious up bringing was embedded deep down in her , her voice shot out all over America , influencing all races in America, she was a beautiful person sent to all of us from God . The devil hated that and sent his demons to torture her as she was singing and melting our hearts . God said " that's enough" and took his beautiful creation to be with him. We will miss u , but we'll see u soon some day Whitney.

Reports were published that she was broke and needed financial help from friends. Houstons cause of death by anti-depressant overdose, drowning. Cause of death is believed to be by an overdose of Xanax. Houston reportedly fell asleep in her bathtub and drowned after taking the prescription medication normally reserved to treat depression and anxiety.
The night before Houston had drank alcohol with the drug, known to cause "severe sedation." WTF stays in a expensive hotel when their broke?

Whitney's voice is a lot different after the cocaine, but it's not bad. She just has to adapt to her new abilities. She can still sing, and every now and again u hear a little note from the old days. lol

@riyansmom The cocaine did little to change her voice. The actual fact that she had nodules and had them taken out is what made her voice darker sounding. But she still has a lot of power when she sings :)

Why don't all you pople knocking Whitney post something of you singing. I never heard of you and probably never will. Enjoy Whitney shes got more soul in her pinky than all y'all. And for the person who posted about all her degrees in singing everyone I ever met that got degrees in singing can hardly sing. There are a few exceptions but I bet your not one.

Women's voices do tend to get a bit lower with age -- so one does hear a difference, but it's surely not the case that she can't sing.

What I wouldn't do for Whitney to record a collection of Mahalia-type gospel standards. Her tone reminds me of Dionne Warwick and Mavis Staples now...definitely perfect for gospel songs...thinking of her singing something like "Nobody Knows the Troubles I've Seen" or "Didn't It Rain" just thrills me.

It's time for the gospel album. She has the voice for gospel. Her struggles and testimony gives her the ability to minister to others. Didn't Jesus say , let he who is without sin cast the first stone. He could have and should have stoned the woman caught in the act of adultery, but what did he say. @taurusg32: I understand that WH fans love her so much that they will say anything to protect her from honest criticism. Human nature is to protect and defend those we love and admire and WH has had a profound influence on ppl as individuals and on the music industry as a whole.....but i also know that ppl will lie to thmeselves. I love and respect WH as much as any of her other fans....but i can't lie and say she can still sing because this proves she can't. Just be honest about it.
