  • Their music always puts me in a very specific mood, such epic music.

  • I can't get enough of this god damn solo!

  • They should just recruit Jon Oliva full time

  • roy doesn't make background vocals at all.he also sings the first verse and both refrains with jon oliva!

  • I never relaly liked Jon Oliva until now.. but I had the same experience with Simone Simons (well her work in Aina was also pretty impressive) and Luca Turulli (Decent of the Archangel, one of my faves)

Somehow Kamelot always make talented artist stand out in a way I simply must adore them :)

also: I miss Glenn, I miss Roy :(

  • Favourite Kamelot song... @.@ Just amazing....

  • Rock-opera ftw ^^

  • Jon Oliva is the greatest!

  • can you drag up all kam songs???f*kin' best band EVEEEER!!!!!

  • Kamelot writes a lot of awesome music, but I their slow but hard songs, like this one, are what really make them a special band.

  • and of course its about the zodiac killer who they never caught

  • kamelot is my favourite band. and this song (in my opinion) comes up joint first with the haunting, ghost opera, the black halo, hunters season, when the lights are down, center of the universe, love you to death, i think thats it, then the rest of kamelots songs comes in joint second.

  • This band is becoming one of my favorites...I just don't know what genre it would best be classified under. So many fall under it. Odd how most bands I come to like I find on Youtube...oh well, the more the better, no? Thanks for the upload! Do you know any songs they sing that are similar to the Haunting, Moonlight, and The Spell?

  • @Cidean I'd file them under "symphonic power-metal"; that seems to define their work most accurately.

I would not say "similar" but "of some resemblance"... here's a few:

    Moonlight & The Haunting:

Mourning Star, Silence of the Darkness, Up Through the Ashes & The Pendulous Fall (Ghost Opera)

Soul Society, When the Lights are Down (The Black Halo)

Farewell, The Edge of Paradise (Epica)

  • @niksu40 Melodic Metal actually.

  • @Cidean The Spell:

Nights of Arabia, The Fourth Legacy, Until Kingdom Come (The Fourth Legacy)

Seal of Woven Years (Poetry for the Poisoned)

    The Human Stain (Ghost Opera)

Soul Society, When the Lights are Down (The Black Halo)

  • @niksu40 Nightwish (Tarja Era, I despise their new style/vocalist...)? Epica? Within Temptation?

  • @Cidean March of merphisto, Pandemonium, Elizabeth; 1 2 and 3. Really good.

  • @Cidean A feast for the Vain, Serenade, Edenecho, Karma, Bluecher.

  • cool song!!!!!!!:D

  • @FrakintheboX yes they are mostly, but...whatever, song is good.

  • 0 dislikes

    oh, yeah

  • real melodic death metal :)

  • @Greniuscool lol so very apt.

  • @Greniuscool Unfortunately, it is not.

  • @Greniuscool And that's a disgrace to Kamelot.

    Shame on you!

  • @niksu40 psychedelic metal

  • @niksu40 IS the Roy Kahn singing?

  • @phantomgladiator576 Of course. Who else?

It's only in "The Great Pandemonium" (on this album that is) where there's some other male sharing the joy of vocalising; Björn Strid.

  • @niksu40 Ohh ok... it disnt sound like Kahn to me

  • @niksu40 Hehe. No, it is NOT Roy Khan :)

It's Jon Oliva (Savantage) who's the lead singer in this song, Roy does Backup vocals along with Amanda Somerville.

  • @niksu40 Actually there is another man singing in The Zodiac and that would be Jon Oliva. Yes this is confusing cause it does sound like Roy Khan is singing everything in this one but there is another man.

Jon's singing can heard at at 1:32 and I think he may be singing in unison with Khan a certain points in the song.

  • @niksu40 Jon Olivia from Savatage sings on this song.

  • @niksu40 actually this song is sung together with Jon Oliva.

  • @niksu40 Actually. The More grungy vocals that come in at about 1:32 is a guy named Jon Oliva.

  • @DamianDurionOFFICIAL A guy named Jon Oliva? Understatement of the millennium?

  • @Akhurahil I'm sorry is there a more apt way of rephrasing my sentence?

  • @niksu40 actually the harsh vocals on this song is by Jon Oliva from Savatage

  • @phantomgladiator576 It's "a" Roy Khan singing. Not sure if he's "the" one. *grin*

  • @phantomgladiator576 its roy khan ft jon oliva!!!!

  • @niksu40 MeloDeath is legit!!! But Kamelot is most definitely not MeloDeath :)

  • @Greniuscool

    Bro...These guys are Power Metal.

  • @Greniuscool bealive me if they were melodic death metal i wouldn't listen to them. :) melodic death sucks.:)

  • When you know the background of this song it is so scary *-*

One of my favorites from this album!

  • @TDGRoach what backgrond? link?

  • @TheJonas211 Go to wikipedia and search for "Zodiac Killer".

I guess it's about that one.

  • @TDGRoach thanks! thats awsome!

  • this is my second favorite on this album next to So Long

  • @dmcadik you and me both :)

  • Great song :) You are like the only person who has made a video of the song "The Zodiac" and had the Album cover thanks. :)

But I couldn't help but notice that there is a minute added in the end that has utterly no sound. So I can't help but find that very strange. I had actually thought you added "Dear Editor" to the song.

  • @TheBettyMonster Oh damn, my bad... I screwed up with Vegas. I can't be arsed to reupload this, though; who cares? If the silence was at the start, I would, though.

    Thanks for notifying me, though!
