  • I love this disney classic cartoon

  • I watched this cus I like old shows and Cus epic Mickey: lonesome manor is inspired by this

  • Mickey Mouse=Egon Spengler

    Donald Duck=Peter Venkman

    Goofy=Ray Stantz

If Oswald the Lucky Rabbit was also in this cartoon with Mickey, Donald and Goofy, he will be the Winston Zeddmore of the group.

  • Oh, Goofy... 6:30-8:00

  • Why does Mickey need a gun? The ghost are already dead....

  • @laurenhenry247 That's a good question. Probably for self-defense or make himself super cool, tough and badass to let no one, especially the ghosts messed with him that he means business.

  • Mickey, Donald, and Goofy= The original Ghostbusters

  • 8:14 Seriously?what did they think they were, little green men that can disappear?

  • Also does anyone know wut donald says from 5:22-5:31?

  • @Wrestling824 "What kind of a place is this? They can't do that to me! ... That's a fine 'how do you do'!"

  • @stevenscottoddballz what donald said at the end was: "So you can't take it, you big sissies."

  • One of my favorite classic Mickey cartoon. I had this on a tape of Halloween-themed Disney cartoons as a kid. ^_^

  • Those guys sure knew how to entertain.

  • I found out the ghosts' names are Gilbert, Gabriel, Ian and Screeching Sam.

  • I love old school disney.

  • The two boards at 04:48 & 04:54 is the origin of what we now call "slapstick" humor.

05:48 "I ain't scared of no ghosts." Was that the precursor to the phrase used in "Ghostbusters"?

What happened to Goofy at 07:23 was reminiscent of what happened to the officer that chased Woody Woodpecker's dog in "The Big Bite".

I had trouble understanding what Donald said at 08:35. Could someone tell me, please?

  • Goofy's part was definitely the funniest!

  • I think this cartoon was the inspiration for Ghostbusters. Very similar in concept.

  • @nhmikey1 I think so too. Goofy did said "I ain't scared of no ghost" @ 5:50, which it's similar to one of the Ghostbusters taglines, "I ain't afraid of no ghost".

  • Now I can show my son what I use to watch when I was a kid

  • It reminded me when I was 7 or 8... and Im 24 now... I feel tears coming down from my eyes... dnt kno why... hahahaha I had it on hand held 8 mm...

  • Forget about calling the Ghostbusters! I'm gonna call Mickey, Donald, and Goofy!!

  • This was great. A favorite from my childhood.

  • This was my first cartoon of Mickey that i saw, except the ones from House Of Mouse, i like this one, and i agree too, the Goofy scene with the ghost it´s funny

  • i love the old mickey mouse cartoons

  • What was in the title card?.

  • Who're you gonna call?

  • hahahahahaha! 4:50 - 5:31 so damn funnyy LMAOOOOO! i lovee donald haha!

  • The original "GHOST BUSTERS" :)

  • They would have had an easier time using a Poltergust 3000!

  • @1Thunderfire

    Let'sa Go! :D

  • @PKParalysis Okey dokey! ♥

  • LOL ahh the good ol days

  • This is one of my favorites!! I had this on viewfinder as a kid.

  • oh, boy! i have'nt seen this in like 35 years! i had this on super 8mm!! what memories!!! thank you, fireurgunz!!! shazam1059

  • Poor Mickey's so confused, I miss Walt's voice :3

  • awesome!!!! thank you!

  • Why don't they show these cartoons on disney anymore? I'm only 15 and i love these, their way better than the new crap they have.

  • strange im 13 but i like the old cartoons better than new ones hmm......

  • @zeeiblob

Thats because they were made with love and wittyness

  • Awesome, I had this on a hand-held 8mm as a kid as well the foley album on vinyl.. thanks for sharing it on youtube :)

  • who you gona call? Mickey Mouse.

  • When Mickey sleeps at the beginning, he looks modern. :P

  • Walt Disney never said he originally wanted these four ghosts incorporated into the mansion. Nor did anyone else involved with the mansion for that matter. Why make things up?

  • I love Micky Mouse!

  • The house is Phantom Manor?.

  • Haha OMG I had this cartoon, on this little hand held projector with one eyepiece and you had to spin a handle to view this cartoon. I used to rewind and forward the part when mickey opens the door with the water endlessly. Thanx for posting this.

  • @BeachBum2OO7 yes, i had one of those as a kid too, lol several parts were worth going back and forth on ... and the vinyl record with the disney sound effects (foley) though not sure they were sold together at the time i recognize all the ghost sounds from that record (it also had a mission to mars narrated journey i think on the flip side)

  • omg i loved it when shows were like this

when i was young theyd show cartoons such as this one

    god what happened :/

anywho thank you so much <33

  • What exactily did Donald Duck said at the end, when the ghost ran away?

  • Comment removed

  • @SaintCyberBlood : He says, 'So you can't take it? You big sissies!"

  • MY FAVORITE!

  • hahahahahaha!

  • lol Ghosts who are fearing ghosts ^^

  • I loved this cartoon growing up.

  • You do realize flagging only means that minors shouldn't watch it.

  • I believe in ghosts. Or at least believe there are paranormal activities.

  • who here other than me beleives in ghosts ?

  • ME!

  • This was Disneylands Original Haunted Mansion theme.. I was looking everywhere for this short movie...

  • @Y9Power I have an uncle who is a Disney Imagineer and I would have to disagree with you about Lonesome Ghosts being the original Haunted Mansion theme, and don't take my uncle's or my word for it, read The Haunted Mansion From the Magic Kingdom to the Movies by Jason Surrell.

  • @greenmotorcar Thanks for the heads up!! I said Original, because I was very young when I saw this and seeing what year this came out.. I wasn't born yet. Any info is good for me.. I'm not like most people that act stupid and defend my own understanding.. Thanks again, and your information is appreciated...

  • @Y9Power If someone points out something that I have said is wrong and provides evidence for their statement, I am accepting of it too. It is too bad that most people aren't like us. Too many people think they know everything about everything without evidence and aren't prepared to be adult enough to enter into true debate and conversation.

  • Goofy is such a klutz!

  • lol, I love that goofy part

  • I remember this from when I was a kid. Lonesome Ghosts is the best Disney short in my opinion.

  • lol they blew mickeys shotgun up

  • you're awesome! thanks for uploading:))

    brings back memories.

  • Where's the king's keyblade? Or Donald's staff, or Goofy's shield? haha :D

  • @shshashake Yeah, those could've came in handy here. :)

  • wow the original ghost busters

  • How do ghosts have working telephone service?

  • oh yea mickey mouse is my all time favourite

  • omg i miss the mickey mouse cartoons :D the ones that actually have mickey and his friends :D

  • that house looks like Phantom Manor

  • I have an old hand-cranked, soundless projector (a Fisher Price toy) with this endless-loop 8mm film cartridge ... I also have a Pink Panther cartridge; I'll have to check the title on that one. Lonesome Ghosts is one of my favorite Disney productions. Makes me really happy that you've uploaded this video; now I can share it with friends who've never heard of it.

  • The Pink Panther cartridge is "Pinto Pink." Me (or my sis) received this Fisher Price gizmo for xmas, somewhere around 1982.

  • I remember having one of those and this video too! Boy did this bring back some pleasant memories!

  • me too..i was looking for this video. youtube is amazing.

  • "A-huh, Do we chase ghosts?"

    LOL, Goofy's the best!!

  • Thanx favorited!!!

  • esta caricatura yo la vi cuando estaba chiquita.

  • Have you noticed that the part at the beginning of the cartoon where the ghosts talk with each other that there is some missing background music in that scene.

  • No, there is no music during that sequence!!! Check the related videos!!!

  • As a youngin' I used to have a 45 record of some kind of Haunted Disney thing with that scream on it... Later as an older kid on I saw the cartoon and recognized the sound and then realized I already had seen this cartoon in my Fisher Price movie cartridge crank-o-wheel player thing. Finding it again is just too awesome!

  • :D nice
