To all the people who say its just Roger who wrote it all, Dark Side of the Moon wouldn't happened if they all weren't working together as PINK FLOYD. The Wall is mostly Roger's thoughts, still wouldn't have been as good with out the whole band.
@gibsongold1970 Seriously man. Roger was the one who wrote the dark side of the moon AND the wall. He's probably the most poetic and creative of the bunch (Don't get me wrong, I love em' all, but you got to give credit where credit is due). And besides, Syd wasn't fucking with him on stage, he was going insane. He would detune and play a different song because the LSD was corrupting his mind. That wasn't a true conscious effort, he was losing his mind. End of story.
@insanityea He didn't burn himself out. He developed schizophrenia/schizo-affective disorder, which strikes between the ages of 18-24, regardless of drug use, stress, etc. He was doomed from the start, since it's a primarily genetic disorder that runs in families. Certainly his intake of hallucinogens wasn't a good idea for a person like him but he would have mentally collapsed even if he were a gas station attendant. His story reads like a textbook case of schizophrenia.
What's up with that? I'd never heard of her before, being American. But I watch a lot of music documentaries, and she's been in a number of them, and someone always mentions how much they hate her.
She sounds like a roodypoo Spice Girls sounding jabroni. At least when VH1 aired the Thin Lizzy Behind the Music here in the States they replaced her voice with Jim Forbes (she also did the narration on the Genesis Behind the Music when it aired on VH1 in the UK). At least Americans don't know Mary Anne Hobbs. I remember when VH1 aired this in June, 2000 as the Pink Floyd Behind the Music (with some things edited out (content and obscenities bleeped)).
I love Waters, BUT, nobody in the band takes me to the dimensions and trips Gilmour do with his playing, all of them are giniuses of course, just MO.

I really wish Syd Barrett wouldn't have burned himself out, just imagine what more he could have created musically.

Because she's awful. Listen to her. She's glorifying pink floyd for all the wrong fucking reasons.
