  • There is a short song by Dr. Cleveland entitled "Until He Comes Again". If possible could someone add that to the songs listed on Youtube? I would greatly appreciate it. God Bless!

  • have mercy lord

  • I am moved by how so many of the comments begin with " I remember my father, or, I remember my mother....This is the soundtrack of my youth on Sunday morning with momma and daddy, getting ready for church! Lord help us! I love the work of the lord, and brother James Cleveland did a mighty work. I stood on the banks of Jordan and watched that old ship of Zion take them both home to glory....We all will go one day. Be blessed, pray unceasingly, and accept what GOD allows....

  • I saw my Father go, came back & got my Mother, then you came back & got my only Brother! Lord, I stood on the banks of Jordan. Pray with me.

  • Folks say because I'm young that I don't know anything about this song, but I remember singing this at my grandfather's funeral. I remember when he would sing, the Church would light on fire.

  • Great song

  • I hear this and I think of my Granny and Grand Daddy who both boarded that ship in 1987. Only five days apart. I miss you Grand Daddy and Granny. Know that I am saved and born again. And we will meet again.

  • the death of my brother brought me to this great song .i get my strenght from this music

  • Oh Wow! a Good Gospel song, and Bleach Anime?!?!.... Jackpot?

  • This is a very sad song in many people lives, I stood there when my father passed and I can feel the sadness that comes with it. We all shall have our day and I pray we'll be ready to board that ship of Zion.I do love this song because of it true message. It bring tears to my eyes.I think of all the mothers and fathers that are on that ship and can rejoice that they are going to a better place.

  • "Be ye therefore ready; For ye know not the day nor the hour"

  • good song, especially since I'm not a Gospel fan...

one question, though. why are Ichigo and Zangetsu in the background? what does Bleach have to do with Gospel music, or even this song? or is there some other meaning to the words Ichigo and Zangetsu and the image isn't what it looks like?

  • I have known this song since I was a child in the 60s and I just find it hard to sit still. At first it had nothing to do with the passing of life. For me it says I got to face the day I dreamed about where the world turned red and people were running everywhere trying to find a hiding place and there were none. So while I stand on the banks of the Jordon I got to work while it is day for the night cometh and no man can work. I see alot standing here and I just need to tell them be ready be

  • Brothers and Sisters do you have your ticket? Are you ready to go? Many of us have stood on the banks of the Jordan, but death will not last for it has been conquered. Hallelujah! As I type this response, tears are flowing down my face. "queenmother928" and all the rest of you we will meet our loved ones over there. YYYeeeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhh!

  • if you haven't stood on those banks of jordan yet, just keep living!!! Glory be to God, halleujah!!! just so amazing, so beautiful a song. Rip to the great James cleveland. I wish our heavenly Father brings peace to all who have lost someone they love or watch them leave and go on to glory. God is good all the time. thanks for sharing, God bless you, keep you always. . .

  • This song goes waaaaaaay back. So touching. My father died in 1974, my only brother died in 1988 and then finally my mom died in 1997, not to mention my grandmother who helped raise me died in 1984. Lord, Lord, I, too, have stood on the banks and watched my dear family board that ship. Now it's just me & my two adult children. I could have been gone, too, many times, but I believe God has a purpose and a plan for me. But I'm making preparation to board that ship when it comes by for me.

I amafromermember of the UHOP in Delray Beach Florida

and I give my condolence to you and your loved ones.

  • @1luvKamiSama1

Lol, thanks so so much! Its good to receive blessed words from a former member, that is not common, most former members fill our ears and blind our eyes with curses - not the way of Christ. But I really appreciate you! I wish more former members would be like you. Even though the mourning is over, and the faith still goes on strong, it is appreciated. Now, in closing, in the words of S. C. Madison, "you will always be loved as a member!" Peace and Grace!

  • @gospelodmac I'm attend the UHOPFAP in Charlotte. I feel you.

  • @gospelodmac I attend the UHOPFAP in Charlotte. I feel you.

  • I just finished reading the responses about people missing their mothers. I will not know about that kind of relationship because my mom didn't want me. She gave me up for adoption to a woman who mistreated me. I can talk about this now because Christ reigns in my life, but oh, how I would have liked to have had that kind of mother's love! I show my love to my only daughter.
