  • Just got mine in. Mint, untouched, from Down Under; not cheap but man, it's worth it. Out of 800 titles this is one of the best produced albums I own; sounds (but of course isn't) like an excellent live recording without the audience (except on Clair, as pointed out by DidesCharlie).

  • This album is so good...beats the shit out of "loveless".

  • Ha and there's me thinking 'My Bloody Valentine' is a shitty emo band, I do apologise sound similar to the Sonic Youth sound these are pretty cool

  • @TheRidllerXXThree Yeah, "Bullet for my Valentine" made be confuse this band with those emo shitdicks.

Can't believe I stayed away from MBV after all these years, merely seconds away from listening at any point. Now I get to discovered all this great music.

I feel annoyed that I came in late though, missed the god dam reunion tour.

  • Best fucking band ever to hit planet earth.

  • i had no idea the ectasy and wine audio cd was long out of print and worth some money now. glad i got it for $10 years ago

  • i don't understand how they're like my bloody valentine at all

  • This was during their new wave days.

  • Mi banda favorita!

  • Thanks to three months of la clase de espanol, I understood what you said:D!

Me gusta mucho My Bloody Valentine!

  • I cut you with a piece of glass

    oh oh oh oh!

    Clair!

  • This is kinda like "Death Valley 69" by Sonic Youth, epecially at the start and chorus bit.. what was made first?

  • Definite similarity. "Death Valley 69" was released in 1985 and "Clair" was 1987.

  • @deanfwj SY's song is from '84, so that's three years earlier, from Bad Moon Rising. Yeah, I see this reaction is two years late. :-)

  • @deanfwj Death Valley 69 was record in 1984, released in 1985; this MBV song was released in 1987. I agree on the "kinda like" in this case; i'm an MBV fan and Death Valley is one of the few SY songs i like. You could draw a few parallel between the bands in terms of experimentation with tunings and noise, but they are really very different, entirely different writing and structure.

  • lovely. ta.

  • I've got an old Sounds from 1986/87 with an MBV interview where Sheilds says that the 'feedback' you hear in this track is in fact a recording of the crowd screaming at the Beatles Shea stadium concert.

  • That's crazy! I've always loved the feedback in this song... Claire rules!

  • fuck
