I don't think sewing over the pin is a good idea. UNLESS you are using super fine pins. In this case, you are NOT. You could just tack it in place with needle and thread. That's much safer.

THANK YOU!!! I got a Guess skirt for 3 $ at a discount store, only problem is that the zipper was broken, I thought no big deal I'll fix it. I have seriously not been able to find a good video for invisible zippers that actually use clothing, it's always shown with two separate completely unattached pieces of material which does not help me one bit...But you have, thanks so much! I just favorited your video!

Thank you so much for this demonstration. I've been struggling so much with putting invisible zippers on my dresses. Turns out, I had been using the wrong zipper foot. The invisible zipper foot is so much easier to use.

The fabric on the dress is nice and bright. Love it.
