Marijuana is not a drug it's a plant. I became medically addicted to pain killers after breaking my back. If I was able to obtain a prescription for marijuana instead this never would have happened. I've smoked marijuana. It works at least twice as good as my pain pills without the side effects. If Marijuana was to be legalized tomorrow for pain relief and depression you would have millions who would not become addicted to pain meds, Valium, and Xanax.

Look, if we're going to save our wonderful innocent drug-free Americans (lol, not), then why do we sell things like cigarettes that have carcinogens and chemicals like nicotine that makes you viciously addicted to them. How is everyone ok with that, btw? Weed doesn't get people addicted, and its only a step drug to higher things when a dealer decides to slip something nasty in your supply. The govt (should) prevent that if they sold it.

Marijuana is not a drug it's a plant. I became medically addicted to pain killers after breaking my back. If I was able to obtain a prescription for marijuana instead this never would have happened. I've smoked marijuana. It works at least twice as good as my pain pills without the side effects. If Marijuana was to be legalized tomorrow for pain relief and depression you would have millions who would not become addicted to pain meds, Valium, and Xanax.

Potheads who go to Amsterdam or Canada are missing out. In Colombia you can buy mid-grade weed for $5 an ounce and really dank weed for $20 an ounce. In Colombia I could afford to smoke a pound of dank. I stayed in Bogota for 1 month, bought a pound of dank for just $250 and smoked so much my whole stay. Weed is practically free there and I mostly felt safe the entire time I was there. If you want dank ask for an ounce of Punto Rojo, you will most likely be hooked up for like $20-$25 an ounce.

Oh yeah, and then on the carcinogenic properties of pot. Pot smoke is carcinogenic, yeah. They say 5x to 6x more then cigarette smoke. Ok. How may cigarettes does the average smoker burn a day? 30 to 40? That means to be equally as carcinogenic one would have to smoke 5 to about 6.5 joints a day to do the same damage as cigs. The average pot smoker doesn't even smoke every day. If they smoke 5 to 6.5 J's every day, they have bigger problems than the carcinogens they are putting in their lungs.

One, IF marijuana is a gateway drug, it's only a gateway drug because it's illegal. Ever had the guy at the liquor store try to turn you on to coke? No. Booze is NOT a gateway drug, BECAUSE it's legal. Two, we have a drug problem with legal prescription drugs, sure. Make them 100% illegal and the problem WILL become 10x worse. Three, kids and drugs? When I was underage getting weed was much easier then getting booze. Drug dealers don't check IDs. Case closed.

Affects people's driving ability? Why is alcohol legal, there is also a guy who gets marijuana from THE GOVERNMENT, and he smokes it in the morning, THEN DRIVES TO WORK.
May cause lung problems? Why is tobacco legal. A study says that it DOESN'T give you lung cancer. There aren't any relations.
Kids shouldn't smoke weed? If it's legal it would make it harder for kids to get a hold of it. Drug dealers don't check ID's.
