What was great about the Beatles was that they used their popularity and success to experiment and grow musically, instead of falling back on a successful formula as did the Eagles or other more contemporary groups.
The Beatles were by far the greatest musicians of the 20th century. Their power to express deep human feelings like love, anger, hope, disappointment, sorrow and joy remains surpassing. The whole world owes them much more than most people can nowadays imagine.
They changed a hell of a lot between this and let's say Rubber Soul, but were consistently great throughout. Can't help but think some songs on this album aren't their best though.
December 8, 1980 - John Lennon (singer/guitarist/composer, THE BEATLES) was shot to death by a man named Mark David Chapman as he (Lennon) and his wife Yoko Ono returned to their New York apartment in The Dakota. His body was cremated at Ferncliff Cemetery in Hartsdale, New York. Ono scattered his ashes in New York's Central Park, where the Strawberry Fields memorial was later created.

Ever feel like you were born in the wrong generation? There are SOME decent songs now, but nothing like this. Green Day sure as hell didn't deserve their own game BEFORE the Beatles. No one's going to talk about Green Day in 40 years. The Beatles are timeless. I just wish I could've been alive in their prime so I could appreciate them even more.
i've always thought that the end of "misery" with the "la la la la la la" to be very unbeatley. more like they were just going with the sound of the times to be like other bands and musicians at the time. one song in particular i just cant think of the name.
@groovinupslowly "Baby It's You" (ie:sha la la la la la la-a,'cuz baby,it's you).Anyway,in the Anthology autobiographical documentary,in an old interview John says that 'they (The Beatles) considered themselves a male version of the Shirelles'.
@beatlehighlander no no, not there. that's different anyway since thats a cover. i just mean the adlib of it at the end it also being so high pitched. i wish i could compare it to the song i'm talking about but i just cant remember!
I haven't had music on my newly wiped laptop in abut 2 months, being too lazy to transfer it from my external hard drive. So, this 'video' will have to do :)
lol ringo looks funny in this one I under stand he was in the band for a year when this album came out but he looks kinda like a starkey rooster get it starkey
That's cool, I got them in this order, help!, Let It Be, sgt pepper, revolver, Rubber soul, with the beatles, abbey road, a hard days night, and the white album

I compared the original album version with the 2009 remastered album and The remastered album version totally kicks this original album's version.
2009 version is wayyyy better!!!

I have as well. Amazing that the original CD releases cost more than the remasters. I guess they have to charge more for shipping weight.
