  • and no longer available BridgeHelper, how do I install snow leopard?

  • bro, would it matter if i use different hard drive discs, and a raid arrange?? !!!

  • @gerardolombana you can use a different hard drive yes but the sata controllers must remain in AHCI mode.

  • @johnnythegeek1 thanks!! i´ll let you know how it goes!! thanks for the video!!

  • Hackintosh is basically installing mac os on a PC right. Does this mean my computer will RUN like a mac.. you know.. FAST.

  • @johnnythegeek1 How much does it cost to build one?

  • @xdanielpowellmusic The machine in this video was about $1200-$1400 depending on where you buy the parts from and the market price. But I have built one for as low as $450 and I could have gone lower to $400 if I had done it a little bit different. I have a video on that and it is called the $450 Budget Hackintosh. Thanks for watching!

  • @johnnythegeek1 wow ... why not just buy a mac Lol..

  • @johnnythegeek1 Because the one in this video would cost you $2400 to start. The $450 hackintosh would be a $600 mac mini. But the $450 can be upgraded. The mac mini can not.

  • Hey @johnnythegeek1, finally worked!! Thanks for all your help! Couldn't have done it without you. One final and LAST question.. Do you know by any chance why it would take 20 seconds or so for my motherboard to start up/boot? Total boot only takes a minute, but 20 seconds or so, is before the motherboard screen. Any help would be awesome! Thanks man

  • @johnnythegeek1 They didn't have the Caviar Black, but I went with the Caviar GP. Hopefully this works!!!

  • @johnnythegeek1 did it again. Forgot to mention your username. Check my previous post. Thanks for your patience.

  • Ok. I'll eventually use a SSD, but just found out I can return my hard drive and exchange for different one. Is there anyway you can recommend me one from Bestbuy that will work? Will the caviar black 1tb work? Thanks! Going to leave soon to go get it!

  • @jleblanc23 sorry for the late reply. The Caviar black is a great choice. I have one and it is going on 2 years now running great.

  • @johnnythegeek1 Just let me know whenever if you can so I can get it ordered, or I need to reclarify what I was saying. I want to dual boot Win7 also ideally anyways, so if Mac osx and applications would run fine on Solid state, and I can 500gb of 1tb to partition Windows 7, and the remaining 500gb, additional storage for the hackintosh... And if so, do you recommend any specific solid states? Thanks bro.

  • @johnnythegeek1 Still nothing bro. I think it has something to do with the 1tb having 4 sectors on it? :( I'm pretty bummed since I don't think I can use this drive to bootup OSX. Which leads me to my next question, if I would purchase a SSD (60-90gb) just to bootup OSX, and programs, can I partition the 1tb twice and use one for addition storage for OSX, and other for dual booting Windows 7?? If this would be an easy solution, I think I'm just going to bite the bullet. THANKS!

  • @jleblanc23 OOOHHHH 4 Partitions? Yeah that is pretty complicated. I am not even sure if it is trying to boot the GUID or the MBR partition table. Yeah you can use a SSD and then partition the 1TB to use with the mac side. Be careful with that and always backup your data.

  • @johnnythegeek1 Now everytime I try to boot from my install via Unibeast jump drive it freezes on White Apple loading screen. Getting discouraged man. I posted something on Tonymac. Thanks

  • @johnnythegeek1 Exactly! Can't get to that screen. I've tried that. Still nothing. :(

  • @jleblanc23 Dang. Maybe it is something in the BIOS?

  • @johnnythegeek1 forgot to mention your name in my post a second a go. Sorry about that. Check my last post.

  • Yes. Sorry thats what I was referring to. My problem is after I install all multibeast settings in lion, dsdt, and bootloader, reboot (then tell it to boot from hard drive). I get the error.

  • @jleblanc23 Hmmm, so you can't even get to the bootloader screen to choose an OS? If you boot again from the USB or rBoot, will it boot? If it does, maybe you can try to install multibeast again.

  • @johnnythegeek1 Yes. the hd is primary boot drive just not set to it mainly because I get the boot1 or 0 error message when I boot just from hard drive. Running lion also. I've tried many things.

  • @jleblanc23 If you boot from the USB install drive, do you see the Lion drive? and can you boot from there?

  • Hey @johnnythegeek1 ,

Got Lion installed, found the guide, followed it to a T. When I try to reboot from Hard drive (1tb seagate) it will not load Chimera. Googled hundereds of sites, couldn't find anything. Gives me Boot0 error. Any insight?? Thanks!! Everything else is working awesome by the way. Just have to get my hard drive to boot.

  • @jleblanc23 Is the hard drive with MacOSX on it the primary boot drive? Download and burn rBoot from tonymacx86 and boot the drive with OS then install multi beast and chimera.

  • Great video! Just what I needed to get started. Slight confusion regarding the motherboard you used.

In the video, you said you used the Gigabyte GA-Z68X-UD3P-B3 motherboard but the amazon link you provided is for the Gigabyte GA-Z68XP-UD3 motherboard.

    which one did you use?

  • @johnnythegeek1 Just got everything ordered. I made a typo yesterday I got the GA-z68x-ud3-b3 board. You should get all the credit on Amazon and Newegg!!

Can I run Unibeast and lion install application on a Lion system?

  • @jleblanc23 Sweet. Yes you can run unibeast and lion install app on a lion system.

  • @johnnythegeek1 Like I said, it's not that big of a deal, but the Lion MBP will be able to knock the USB load out 5-6 times faster than the SL version. I'm just trying to work around it. If not, I'll just wait it out, I guess. :)

I'm pretty pumped. When you send the links tonight or whatever, I will sort everything out, and purchase sometime tomorrow. Thanks again man.

  • @jleblanc23 Ok so for the Newegg stuff, all you have to do is add this to the end of every url: &AID=10440897&PID=5643973&SID=

and for the amazon stuff add this: &tag=johnnythege07-20

Don't for get to press enter after adding the tags so the page refreshes. Then all you do is add everything to your cart and purchase. If it does not work then skip it and just purchase your item normally. Thanks for your support.

  • @johnnythegeek1 No problem man. Glad I can help. I will order the case from Amazon too, since I'm getting charged shipping from Newegg.

Thanks for that. It's only running 2gb at the moment I think and pretty sluggish. If that doesn't work, can I usb it on a friends MBP (only thing is he is running Lion)? Not a big deal if it's unable to. I'm purchasing the software no matter what, I was just trying to see if I can skip the SL install. Thanks again man.

  • Thanks bro. Yeah man. Only a few components though. I think the CX600, Hard drive, and maybe the Asus drive. Can you send me the link so I can get you some credit for these things? Do you get credit with Newegg? Ordering most of the parts through them.

Also had another quick question, if I have access to a Snow Leopard MacBook, is there any way I can skip the Snow Leopard install by obtaining a copy of lion legally? I know you must have it to download it, but I was confused. Thanks!

  • @jleblanc23 Yes I will send you links tonight for amazon and I will have to figure out how to do that with Newegg. I just started an account with them. Thanks for the support. You can skip the snow leopard install by using your macbook. Check out my other video on updating to Lion and just use you mac book instead. That process will get you to make a USB drive with unibeast and Lion install application on it and you're good to go.

  • @johnnythegeek1 Ordering parts either tonight or tomorrow. What do think/recommend with these specs:

    Gigabyte GA-z68x-ud3-b3

    Intel i5-2500k

    16gb Corsair Vengance

    Corsair CX600 PSU

    1TB Seagate HD

    ASUS DVD-RW

    Cool Master RC-692-KKN2

    Thanks man!!

  • @jleblanc23 Everything looks good. Where are you ordering the parts from? Anything from Amazon?

  • @johnnythegeek1 nice bro. That's sounds pretty sick. I think 500-550w would be plenty enough for me using integrated video, and enough room to upgrade to another card later.

  • @johnnythegeek1 Is there any specific reason why you went with such a big PSU?

  • @jleblanc23 I plan on upgrading my graphics cards to a crossfire configuration. Most likely 2 7950's or 2 7970's.

  • Just buy a fukin Mac....and that´s it!

  • @spikeman316 lol. I'd rather spend $1000 than $2400.

  • @spikeman316 Mate it's not fuckin it's Fucken.

    You bloody idiot.

  • @johnnythegeek1 I want to go with the Mobo with the least headaches/errors.

  • @jleblanc23 I recommend both but it comes down to which one is the best price and availability.

  • @johnnythegeek1 nice man. Thanks for that. Would you not recommend the GA-Z68xp-ud3 at all? Unless you can justify a big difference between the two. I'm also not sure if I should go with the i5-2500k or i7-2600k since I will not do any gaming. Mainly just editing, recording music. I do however want a powerful system.

  • @johnnythegeek1 Isn't the GA-Z68X-UD3H-B3 the same board you use in this video? I'm probably going to be using almost exact specs from the video. Extremely helpful. Is the link you are referring to on tonymac easy to locate?

  • @jleblanc23 Nah I used the Gigabyte GA-Z68XP-UD3. I don't know what the difference is yet. I do have a guide with the multibeast settings on my website. You can do a search for the GA-Z68X-UD3H-B3 on my site and it is the only article that comes up. Pay no attention to the Lion part or the xmove stuff. Just read the multibeast settings.

  • Hey Johnny. Thanks for doing this helpful video. I'm considering doing a hackintosh almost exact spec wise as this machine (minus video card for initial build). Looking for something with alot of power, but do not need a good video card right away. It's something I will upgrade after the initial build. If you had to rebuild this hackintosh, would you do it with same hardware? Any suggestions? I will be posting some questions on the tonymac forum also. Thanks again.

  • @jleblanc23 It is hard to say what motherboard I would change but I would say the GA-Z68X-UD3H-B3 because I found this guide on the tonymacx86 forums with really good settings to use for that model. I actually have this board in for a system I am building for someone so I am making another guide with that hardware. Thanks for watching!

  • you think that i have to update my bios?but it worked before...do u know anything else to turn on my ethernet card?really thank u!

  • thanks,i done it already, but still nothing....i have the correct dst file for my bios f9....the strange thing is that before it worked, now in my system information when i go to the ethernet cards says that this computer does not appear to have any pci ethernet card installed....

  • @snassosdj Damn, that is strange. Maybe you can do a search on the tonmacx86 forums and type in your motherboard and the word LAN or ethernet. Hopefully someone had the same issue and fixed. Also, look for a guide with your particular motherboard. Someone might have better settings for your motherboard than the one I did in this video.

  • hello!great guide!!!i used your method 2 times!the first everything was working except my graphics no resolution options,no youtube vids,etc...(i didnt have one,i had only the on board graphics card)so i baught one ati hd 5570 and i done it again!!!

everything fine with the graphics now,but.....no ETHERNET..CANT EVENT FIND IT in network preferences!!!do u know something about this????can you help me???please...

    mb- gigabyte ga z68x ud3h b3

    gc-gigabyte ati hd 5579

    proc-i7 2600 k

  • @snassosdj During the multibeast install there are a few options for choosing the ethernet drivers. Try all of them. Make sure to have the correct DSDT file on your desktop and check the System Utilities box.

  • Hey Johnny! I keep gettin "no ramdisk config" when I insert iboot. After that it freezes up with the disk logo halfway loaded below the apple. Why why why?! I've got an GA-z68x-ud3h-b3 mobo, 8gb of gskills ddr3 ram, i5 2500k processor. I followed all of the steps you mentioned...all of them! Hope you can help! : )

  • @fripp1229 Are you waiting 10 seconds after putting the disc in to press f5? Make sure that there are no USB devices plugged in. Only the Keyboard and mouse should be plugged in. You might also try using the legacy iboot disc.

  • @johnnythegeek1 @johnnythegeek1 Yes.. I've even waited for a couple of minutes with no results. Only keyboard and mouse connected. Also tried with the legacy boot with the same results. Tried the forums with no luck. When I watch your video, I see the Iboot disk is complete and mine's not.

  • Right after it says "Loading Operating System" it gives me a screen for about half a second that reads "Reading ramdisk image: bt (0,0)/extra/proboot.dmg no ramdisk config... mounting: done". After that it stays forever on the screen I told ya before, like if it froze. I burned the iboot discs as ISO files on my Mac G5 10.5.8 using Toast It, just in case that's relevant

  • @fripp1229 Wait, what do you mean iboot disk is complete? and yours is not?

  • Man I dunno how to explain it lol... if you google Iboot Logo Freeze and search the images you can get a better idea of my problem

  • Hey, do you recommend the z86-xp-ud3p?

  • @NuevoNumeroNueve If you look on the tonymacx86 website, go to the DSDT datbase and see if there is a DSDT for it. If there is then yes, I recommend it. Thanks for watching!

  • Hey man! Great video.I'd like to build a machine to these specifications someday (if i ever come around with the money hahah) Anyway, I was wondering if you could help me out? You seem pretty educated with hackintoshing as far as hardware goes so I thought I'd ask you a question. I just installed OSX SL 10.5.6 on my stock Acer Aspire 5336. It has a built in Atheros wifi adapter. I've tried multiple kexts and cannot get this thing working! Think you could direct me in the right path? Thanks!

  • @MontageReflex I don't have experience with Laptops and hackintosh but if you can't get it to work then I suggest a USB wireless N adapter. I have used the Patriot USB Wireless N and the ASUs N-13 USB Wireless N adapter.

  • Hi, is there any way to instal hackintosh 10.6.6 on my socket 775 Gigabyte GA-945GM-S2 rev 1.0 ? i have also 40 gb ATA disk. I tried yesterday to install. I saw the chameleon boot screen, i chosed hazard instalation then came up that apple logo screen and thats all. I waited about 20 minutes and nothing changed. I heared that my PC was turned into sleep mode while disk was giving "working" sound. Today i saw on your tut that i need to change something in bios to AHCI, was that the issue ?

  • @dkosti69 you do need to have AHCI but you should have at least gotten to the part where you choose what hard drive to install it on. Also, I don't think ATA hard drives will work. Try using a SATA hard drive and SATA dvd drive.

  • @johnnythegeek1 ok thx for tips. And my motherboard is ok for mac ?

  • @dkosti69 oh yeah the motherboard is a little old so I don't know if this method will work for it. I have an older video that comes in two parts. Maybe that method might work.

  • Mine Always Crashes When Installing The Combo Update, It Does The Black Screen Of Death Saying You Have To Reboot. :/ When It Gets To Like 90% EVERY TIME

  • @TheVideoMastr Check out my other video on the $450 Budget Hackintosh. In that video the steps are a little bit different and might get yours working.

  • Hi, great video, really informative. Just wondering, how much did you build cost in total? Including everything except the monitor? Thanks!

  • @OllieL96 I am putting together a list of the items and will post it in the description soon. Stay tuned and thanks for watching!

  • @OllieL96 It was around $1500.

  • @johnnythegeek1 Thanks very much. I cannot decide whether to go for an Asus P7P55D-E LX with an Intel Core i5 760 or similar to you with the

Gigabyte GA-Z68XP-UD3 plus a Intel Core i5 2500k. Either way I decide to go, will a Gigabyte GT220 1GB Graphics card work with both? Thanks

  • @OllieL96 I'm also considering using a Gigabyte GeForce GT 440 as I am trying to keep the price low while still having a solid machine.

  • @OllieL96 Yes the GT220 will work just fine with any of those configuration. I would say go for the Z68 because it is newer. Unless the P55 is ridiculously cheaper then that would be fine too. Either way configuring both as a hackintosh is going to be the same. Just make sure there is a DSDT or really good compatibility with that ASUS mobo.

  • Will an AMD Processor Work?

  • @ireviewapple4you I don't have any experiences with building a hackintosh with and amd and the method I used in this video will not work for an AMD system. There is a completely different method I have read about but never tried and that is using something called iATKOS. Do a google search for that. Thanks for watching!

  • Never mind I got it, instal a time machine back up

  • I cant update to 10.6.8. I using the update helper but no dice.

    can you help?

    Here is my configuration:

    - Gigabyte GA-Z68X-UD3H-B3

    - Intel Core i5-2500K CPU @ 3.3Ghz

    - AMD hd6850

    - 16gb Kingston DDR3 1333MHz RAM (4GB X 4)

    - 650w Power Supply

  • @brandonrobinson5150 first try the steps in my other budget hackintosh video on this channel. there is a different order of steps involved. Then check out this guide on my website: johnny the geek dot com and search for the GA-Z68X-UD3H-B3. Hopefully that will help.

  • My I7 Mac OSX Lion Hackintosh If anyone interested in buying go to my channel for the click in my feed

  • hi, i just installed osx Lion 10.7.2 on my computer (ga-z68x-ud3p-b3 f6 / i5 2500k) with bootable usb and everything seems to be ok. i suggest everybody to do the same. Anyway i still can't boot without usb plugged-in, as i get a blank screen on the begining. but i hope i can fix it soon. Thanks johnnythegeek1

  • Hey so just a problem I encountered. I burned the iboot disk and put it into my disk drive and it doesn't load or do anything.

  • @daflammablechicken Did you set your bios to boot from your disc drive? Did you burn it as a data disc or as an iso image like it is suppose to be?

  • @johnnythegeek1 I think it's worth noting, that if he couldn't set the boot drive or didn't know how to properly burn the disc, he's probably up the creek in terms of getting it working at all. I mean that in a respectful way, btw.

  • @SC2Phan I understand and I try to be patient as possible and do things step by step in the video. Some people complain about it being long and "too" basic but I want everyone to try and give it a shot. Thanks for watching

  • @johnnythegeek1 No problem, thanks for the vids.

  • Really really appreciate what your doing with these videos! Certainly gives me the confidence to try this on my own.

  • @audioisgood Thanks for watching!

  • really really helpful thank you so much =D

  • @mac4thewin Thanks for watching!

  • Super informative video! Thank you!

I'm going to build a new machine with windows 7, with components compatible to make it a Hackintosh at a latter time. I'll be using a GA-Z68X-UD3H-B3 with i5 2500K and use the integrated graphics for now. Before installing Win7 I'll be changing the PCH Sata Control to AHCI, so I'll be able to also run OSX on separate HD. Could you please tell me if I need to change anything else on the BIOS?

    Thanks

    lowtech2012

  • @lowtech2012 All that looks good and should be just fine for install OSX later.

  • Cool dude

  • @danielgartin6993 Thanks for watching!

  • @johnnythegeek1 I did NOT have a windows drive installed. My BIOS version was originally F10, but I had to downgrade my BIOS version because the DSDT only supported F9. PLEASE HELP!

Another problem is that my AUDIO is not working! Please help me with this, I beg of you lol!

    Thank you!

  • @johnnythegeek1 Despite the fact that I followed the exact steps and almost used every single part in your version of the hackintosh, my audio is also not working.

If you can help with this and my other posts that would be AMAZING!

    Thank you so much!

p.s. Your tutorial is the best on youtube and I thought that your thorough explanation was very helpful.

  • I already own a Radeon HD 6950 2gb Is it ok if I use that as my GPU to build this hackintosh??

  • @PuRpLeXkoBrA Yes that will work fine.

  • @johnnythegeek1 \/ it will only boot with the iBoot disk being the priority...

    how can I change this?

    Thank you!

  • @johnnythegeek1 Hi again, I am at the part were you change the boot priority to the Macintosh drive ( 27:33 ). I have done this and it gives me an error like so:

    Loading Operating System . . .

    boot0 : GPT

    boot0 : test

    boot0 : test

    boot0 : GPT

    boot0 : test

    boot0 : test

    boot0 : error

  • @iapp1027 Did you have a Windows Drive plugged in also? And has the Windows OS booted with the Snow Leopard Drive. Sometimes Windows does not play nicely with other drives that have an OS on it. You might have to reinstall it again but try the procedures I did in my other budget hackintosh video. The steps were a little bit different. What parts do you have is not the same and what BIOS version do you have?

  • @johnnythegeek1 THIS IS REALLY IMPORTANT: I am building my hackintosh today! And I just found out that I have a Z68X-UD3H-B3 Gigabyte motherboard. I watched the dsdt database part and I found out that you have the Z68X-UD3P-B3 Gigabyte motherboard. Is my motherboard OK? If so, which option should I download: F3, F4, F8, or F9? PLEASE GET BACK TO ME AS SOON AS POSSIBLE!!! Thank you so much!

  • @iapp1027 You should really watch the entire video. Do not use the DSDT for the UD3P. There is a DSDT for the UD3H model and you have to determine what BIOS version you have (also in the video).

  • Comment removed

  • Does it matter if you use chameleon or chimera? Also, if you want to dual boot win 7, does it have to be installed before mac is installed? Thanks.

  • @88UUTT2 I would stick with the latest chimera. I am pretty sure it will have everything chameleon has and more compatible kexts for older and newer hardware.

  • @johnnythegeek1 Thanks, about dual booting, if I install win 7 with sata acpi and stuff enabled, then install mac like you did, will the chimera bootloader pick up windows letting me choose what OS to boot into? Also, can I install on the same HDD? By partitioning, so in the mac disk utility just format the partition I want to install mac on? Will that work, thanks. :) Also, subscribed.

  • @88UUTT2 I tis a bit difficult but possible to dual boot on the same hard drive but there is some detailed partitioning that needs to be done.

  • @johnnythegeek1 Alright, i found a tut on tonymacx86's blog.

Thanks anyway for the quick replies! You really helped. :D

  • cost?

  • @ZekTz My particular rig at the time was around $1500. This was all brand new parts just released at the time and when I say at the time, I mean the time I built the machine, not when I made this video. I would say about 7-9 months ago from today. Thanks for watching!

  • Can you put lion on it?

  • @jomjom123 Yes. Unfortunately I am on holiday right now and as soon as I get back to the states then I will be making another video.

  • @jonnythegeek Also, is CD-R ok? ( 8:58 )

  • @jonnythegeek1 I am so confused, where did you get this file?!? ( 8:00 ) You never mentioned it, it was just on your desktop. Please Help!

  • @iapp1027 That is the BIOS update. If you look at the description there are time codes and the BIOS updates start at 05:38.

  • @iapp1027 in the description threr are links

  • @jonnythegeek1 Great tutorial!! I was just wondering what outer shell you used for the tower. If you could respond to this with a hyperlink to the page that would be great! Thanks.

  • @iapp1027 That is the Cooler Master 690 II Advance. Thanks for watching!

  • Just get a mac with boot camp

  • gigabyte ftw!

  • @mickyd110011 FTW!!!!

  • can I use 64 bit ?

  • @Kosunoki depends on your processor.

  • Would I still need to download iBoot if I just had Mac OS X and no copy of Windows besides virual from the Mac side only?

  • @ColdLikeFrostyy Yes. You do need iBoot in order to install Mac OSX.

  • @johnnythegeek1 Thank you

  • @ColdLikeFrostyy Thanks for watching!

  • do you have a video tutorial of how to run window 7 within os x? if not, can you tell me how you did it?

  • @aaguirre123 I will work on that over the holidays. Thanks for watching!

  • @johnythegeek1

Sorry to bothered you again Johny, can you please tell me that can i build a hackintosh without a graphic card? Im thinking of using the same Mother as your one. Thank you very much Johny.

  • @YeahhhThatsLife Send me a direct message and I will give you a link with a list of parts.

  • @johnythegeek1

Hi Johny, can you please tell me a decent motherboard to build a hackintosh from gigabyte? somewhere between 100 - 150 dollars. Hope to receive your reply soon. Thank you.

  • Dude I can't wait to get my machine up and running!

  • @the3rdknuckles Let us know how it goes!

  • Hey. Awesome video. For lion do I do the same thing? I know I need to somehow extract lion to a USB.

  • @daveroski Lion is a bit different in that you would install it using a modified USB drive with the installation disc on it and making the usb drive bootable with unibeast. I am working on that video next. Thanks for watching!

  • can i just use these programs to make my inspiron a hackintosh or do i have to buy all the hardware and build it?

  • @guitarsbunch347 I don't have any experience with installing this onto a laptop. I have heard about others being able to do it but I don't have one to try this out on.

  • Thanks for this video, it was really helpful as I am learning to build my own Hackintosh. I have a few questions: Do you have a video on the hardware installation? I'm just curious on how the components all fit together, or is it simply plug and play?

Also, I've read that it is beneficial to install the OS on a SSD; do you have OS X on one? Windows on one?

Finally, would you recommend waiting to build a Hack? I've heard mumblings of upgraded parts, particularly CPUS in early 2012.

    Thanks!

  • @dxiong5 I have another video called Building a Core i7. It's not the machine in this video but pretty close. SSD's are super fast but expensive. I have them for both Windows and OSX. I have another video on updating the firmware on my OCZ Vertex 2. I talk a little bit about SSD's and Hybrid SSD's. Waiting to build would depend on your budget. Right now The new Intel Chips x79 and Sandy Bridge E are really expensive. It's the next big thing, just really expensive. Thanks for watching!

  • @johnnythegeek1 Thanks for the quick reply; I'll check out those other videos!

  • Does anybody know how to setup settings on hewlett packard bios

Hp 8100 Elite Small Form Factory

    i3 Intel,3.2 ghz

    Ati Radeon HD 5570 1GB

    Pls help ;)

  • @iPhoneCroatia

Lol. If you can't figure that out, you really have no business trying to make a hackintosh.

  • THANKS so much bro.... God bless you for taking the time to helpppp people out (:

  • @halamonsta Thanks for watching!

  • I'm using hewlett packared 304ah or something like that and i don't have the same bios as u and i can't find that options to change

Hp 8100 elite small form factory

    i3 intel , 3.2 ghz

    4 gb ram

Ati radeon hd 5570 1 gb............)...

    Pls help. :)

  • @iPhoneCroatia Sorry dude. These instructions are specifically for Gigabyte Motherboards.

  • Do you have a method for installing Windows on a separate drive after Mac OS? I saw the guide on tonymacx86 but that one focused on installing Windows on the same drive as Mac OS. How do I go about installing Windows on a separate drive? Is there a way to change the boot priority back to another disk after the Chimera bootloader is set up? Simply: How do I do it?

  • @Totallydistortedfilm I don't know how to install both onto one drive. What I usually do is unplug al my other drives and install windows onto its own drive. Then I plug the Mac OSX drive back in and make sure the BIOS is set to boot the Mac OSX drive. Then in the Bootloader menu I interrupt and choose the system Reserve partition to boot windows. If you often use Windows then set the boot drive to be the Windows har drive in the bios instead.

  • @johnnythegeek1 Thats what I was thinking. Is there a way to get to the motherboard's options from the bootloader? This would be to make sure that it's set to AHCI and related things.

Thank you for taking the time to respond!

  • @Totallydistortedfilm There are no options to make changes to the BIOS in the Booltloader menu. You would just have to do it the old fashioned way of going into the bios to make changes. You can also save the bios settings as different profiles and load each profiles as you need them. It takes a few of the steps out of the way. Some people has commented on here saying that is how they prefer to do it.

  • I have the following configuration:

    Intel Core i5 2400 @ 3.10GHz

    Corsair 4.00 GB DDR3

    ATI FirePro V4800 (FireGL)

488GB Western Digital WDC WD5000AAKS-00V1A0 (SATA) Will it work with these specifications?

  • @MrSribro The video card might have an issue. You listed everything but the most important part.

  • @johnnythegeek1 did i miss something?......and also, can i run windows 7 after installing this?

  • @johnnythegeek1 and also tell me which video card should i use and will it be better to use another 250GB internal hard drive dedicated to the mac os?

  • @MrSribro Go to the tonymacx86 site and there is a customac section on the left. There is a huge list of compatible cards and motherboards, two of the most important pieces for a hackintosh.

  • your probably confused with my question.. so..

    my motherboard is foxconn..

to enter bios is have to press F7..

in the bios is says my version is AC3D3P01..

i cant find the dsdt for my motherboard but i found a similar 1 under gigabyte.. socket 1155.. H61.. GA-H61M-D2-B3..

is it safe for me to download that?

  • @SupremeMonkey118 I don't think that will work. Sorry. The only thing I can suggest is looking on the tonymacx76 forums to see if someone with your exact motherboard has been successful with getting a DSDT to work. It may be possible that it would not need a DSDT and multibeast has everything it needs. If you're daring, try it without the DSDT. Of coarse don't do this with important data on your drive, etc. Good luck and thanks for watching!

  • @johnnythegeek1 thanks for the quick response!

i will definitely try that and let you know.. :)

I have partitioned my drive already.. i can use the partinioned one and it wont affect the c: drive right? im just mking sure..
