  • A beautiful song with a beautiful story....

  • Charlie, i love people like you!

  • My boyfriend has osteosarcoma. His leg was amputated, but not before the cancer spread to his lungs. He recently relapsed and is going through chemo.

I've always knows what this song was about, but it didn't hit home until now. It makes me happy to know of someone who has survived bone cancer. Gives me hope that my boyfriend can do it to.

  • Wow. The story made me love Jason Mraz more! That was a sweet story of friendship, indeed. Totally made my day! :)

  • a very touching story and song =]

  • What a great love story if they are not lovers, they should be.

  • thx God Charlie's fine now ^^

Well hello! I am sure I will meet you at the wedding. Sorry I am so late responding. I didn't know you had written a comment until I was watching the video, which I do from time to time. Hello to Steph for me.

    Norma (Charlie's mom)

  • Mr. Mingroni, I remember when that song came out and I was going through tough times. It helped me get through that to some small degree, so thank you to your son for that.

  • What an amazing friendship. Jason and Charlie are brilliant! I love that song too! Remedy inspired me not to worry my life away, as well. I love Jason Mraz's music! I love his music. I always listen closely to the lyrics, so that I can reflect them on myself. I always like to listen to his music when I am sad, depressed, or angry.

And I always learn from his songs. Thanks Jason, for bringing yourself into the world so that people can enjoy your talents.

  • it brings tears to my eyes...seriously.bravo jason and charlie

  • It's great that Jason puts such powerful meanings behind his songs and that he incorperates true and often sad stories into his songs! Truly tallented person!

  • One of the greatest stories I've ever heard of.

  • is the narrator Quinton Flynn??

  • Yeah, i guess I also won't worry my life away... There is still a "Remedy".. the Hope is still there.. always will be.. the dirty old disease is a ---GIFT!

  • Wow Charlie's your son?

So happy for Charlie and his family for him getting back to full health :]

Such a beautiful song, and a beautiful singer too [=

  • Wow these guys really have a sense of perspective, and you can see why. And god, Jason Mraz........ how strong must he have been?... Wouldn't you just break down if that was your friend. Not him. Respect!

  • Really glad I came across this. I saw Jason and Charlie's interview together with Diane Sawyer as well. Really an uplifting story. Made me tear up a little bit. Jason's voice is brilliant and I love him to bits, and glad to hear Charlie's all better.

    Thanks for sharing!

  • omg what an amazing best friendship they have!! charlie is definitely amazing! he saw his cancer in a totally different light than how others view it! and jason is just a sweetheart!

  • WOW...Charlie is so brave to have gone through all that at such a young age :) He is a hero for not giving in:)

  • I WONT WORRY MY LIFE AWAY!

  • wow... luv the song!

    and the story behind it

    thanx for posting this video!!

    gbu

  • ok, so my really good friend is jessie mingroni (charlie's younger sister) and she told me the whole story... i've never seen this until i just stumbled upon it today. I'm interested in how they told it and how accurate it truely is. I've met charlie and jason and they are really the best of friends

    :D uplifting story

  • Hello Jessie's friend. The only thing in the story they got wrong is surgery was not immediate. With Ewings Sarcoma, they give you chemo for 2-3 months before surgery to shrink the tumor. Everything else is right-on. And Charlie is still doing great. We go to Jason's concert in a few weeks in Richmond and I look forward to seeing him. Tell sweet Jessie hello.

  • So jessie is your daughter?

  • wow that was the most inspiring thing i've heard in a very long time. jason mraz will forever be my inspiration and charlie will always be on my mind now. it makes me happy how close they are as friends.

  • Great story that puts life into a different context. I'm glad your son has regained his health. All the best to you and your family.

  • wow... truly amazing n inspirational story..! it was a really touching story too, glad tat ur son, charlie is well n has a really really amazing best buddy... now tat we all noe abt da truth, let us appreciate life even more... god bless to both charlie & jason!

  • you are truly blessed to be Charlie's mom.

blessings to you both, and thank you for sharing this and inspiring so many of us.

  • this has always been my favourite song from Jason, and has always inspired me. upbeat yes, but with a powerful yet simple message to me personally; though now its original inspiration magnifies it's inspiration for me.

Charlie has become an inspiration to so many without knowing it, and his friendship with Jason and inspiring him is simply awesome- literally.

    peace~

  • SO amazing.

they are great, and this song is awsome

  • wow. "the remedy" has always been one of my favorite songs ever because i loved its message and story. seeing that video was very touching. it's great that your son has such a positive outlook on life and has an awesome friend like jason :) God bless!

  • May your son live strong :)

  • are you charlies dad??

  • no...his mom.

  • Thank you so much for posting. I had heard about Charlie, but had never really heard his story and I so appreciate you sharing it with all of us. I am one of Jason's older fans and my sons are Charlie and Jason's ages. I can't even imagine, so I won't say I know how you feel...just that I hope your family continues to be blessed with good health and happiness always and may Jason and Charlie always be there for each other.
