My deepest sympathies to the families – a true (and utterly preventable) tragedy. I knew one of the victims (Ninos) from work and he was a decent human being, someone that deeply cared about his coworkers, friends and family. He touched many people with his gentleness and kindness. He was studying biology & chemistry and had a bright, promising future. What a tragic loss. Again, my thoughts and prayers go out to the victims, their families and friends. Rest in peace.
Well, if my family ever does make our way down there. I know that we will not do the unwise thing of climbing over the safety rail... but I do hope that these three beautiful young people do rest in peace. All my sympathy goes to the families of these fallen kids... Why did they go over the SAFETY RAIL??! OMG!
@lsmockingjay OK PARDON ME, BUT WHAT DIFFERENCE DOES THE "REAL STORY" MAKE? WEATHER THEY WERE OR NOT POSING FOR A PICTURE, BOTTOM LINE, DID THEY NOT STILL CLIMB OVER THE RAILING, SLIP AND FELL IN? JUST SAYING. OKAY PEOPLE GET THE STORY STRAIGHT, THEY WERE NOT POSING FOR A PICTURE, THEY JUST SIMPLY MADE AN UNWISE DECISION. WELL I REALLY HOPE THAT THE "REAL STORY" BRINGS THEM BACK.
pple need to stop talking and saying storeies what has happend has happend and what will happen wil happen. just pray.even the family said let the news come from them not some one who heard some one because they were getting there haircut from someone who loves some one who knew this guy who met this girl.
In breaking and sad news, the body of Nenos David has been found 80 feet away from the waterfall in Yosemite National Park. The bodies of Ninos Yacoub and Ramina Badal were also located but couldn't get them out because it got too dark and late in the evening. May their soul rest in peace now and my deepest condolences to their family and friends.
They aren't dead, they're alive!, nothing is official until it's official, even if it's 50 years from now and they don't find them they're still not dead until an official official appointed by an offical person says so. Just remember, through 1 of the 20,000 different Gods that humans have ever worshipped, anything (except holding your breath under the surface of the sun for 9 minutes) is possible!
No way dude. There's nooo way they're alive. That's a 317 ft drop in freezing cold water. Water has half the density of cement, and even if you did survive hitting the water that hard, there's so many rocks and boulders at the bottom. Let's be realistic. They're dead.
My heart goes out to the victims & thier familes. Very young victims. Given thier ages they were probably not as experienced hikers as Father Genard Lazar who was with the youth group that sad day. I'm surprised they didn't take a park/tour guide with them for the hike to Vernal fall's risky waters, instead a pastor. Lawsuit should go against Assyrian church of the East Youth Ministry a close-knit community of Assyrian Christians with roots in the Middle East who planned the & set up the hike.
I just want to say thatas angry as I am about this, I am so emotional and heart broken even though they made a bad choice, it does not make this less of a tragedy. What fascinated me the most about this whole thing is that these 3 friends gave up their very lives for one another, I gurantee you the 3rd person could have walked away, but he was willing to sacrifice his own life and he did. They died for eachother..LITERALY. WOW
First of all, do not believe every single word that the news feeds you. Just because they presume they're dead, doesn't mean they ARE. "Through God, all things are possible"
@leafninja247 I believe that last part you said, but when we human go against God and make poor judgment, unfortunately we end up paying the ultimate price for the choice we made. I personaly am not in favor of the media, but let's look at FACTS here. It is big loss for every Assyrian home believe me, I didn;t even know them, but I will always remember them because knwoing what I know about them, they were and always will be the shining star within the Assyian community.
@Masi7i4life I'm happy to know that you acknowledged them, but they didn't go against God. They thought the water wasn't fast or deep, so they decided to do that, and there's destiny. Everyone makes mistakes, some are just more lucky then others, but this was God's will, and so be it, but they did NOT go against him...just to clarify.
So sad but what were they thinking going over those no cross rails??? God rest their souls! May their family get through this horrific tragedy with the help of the Lord!

Once I was invited to attend a church sponsored sky diving tour but I declined to go.
