Those implausible promises made me look at what I'd been paying before President Bush's 2001 and 2003 tax cuts, as well as what I paid after those tax cuts became law. I chose the 2000 tax tables as my baseline -- they reflect the tax rates that Senator Obama will restore by letting the "Bush Tax Cuts" lapse.
The danger behind Socialism which is creeping into this country under the guise of benefit packages and socialized medicine is that it creates a demographic dependent on the Government. This demographic becomes enabled and in turn keeps the enablers in power, hence our open boarders and a whole new voting base keeping our two party systems very lopsided to say the least.
I gues that is why they are sending jobs overseas because they say they work harder for less. They also have more experience. So adding increase in the so called rich's tax will just give them an addition reason to go overseas leaving less jobs for Americans. Under that plan will not have to worry about a recession because it will be a depression instead.
Giving tax breaks to businesses that invest in America as well as ensuring their public contracts, and retracting the tax cuts to companies that send jobs overseas is part of the Obama Economic Plan as outlined on his website.

I would also like to state for the record that the last democratic president to lower taxes was, well, the last democratic president, Bill Clinton. In his 1993 economic plan he made tax cuts available to 90% of small business owners, while only increasing taxes on 1.2% of the wealthiest Americans.

The overall worth of the company will drop as well & the stock in that company, so it will be a 2 fold loss to the investor. McCain wants to keep it at %15 & hopes to lower it to %7. The lower the Capital Gains Tax the more capital, which in turn will actually bring more to the Government Coffers.

I would also like to state for the record that the last democratic president to lower taxes was, well, the last democratic president, Bill Clinton. In his 1993 economic plan he made tax cuts available to 90% of small business owners, while only increasing taxes on 1.2% of the wealthiest Americans.

We already have free education it is called the Hope Credit and Pell Grants. You can do work study and there is a school in Kentucky that charges no tuition for anyone that comes from families that can't help support. It is money donated from the churches. Give some credit to the groups and charities that help provide the voluntary donations.

I think companies that make $250K or more are most likely to be companies that make millions if not billions a year so it doesn't hurt them to pay higher taxes and they should. How else will America fix it's health care system, reform it's education system, get dependence from oil, and a host of other things? Not to mention paying back $10,000,000,000,000.

Doesn't everyone realize if small businesses are expected to pay more taxes and provide more expensive insurance for their employees, businesses are going to close down, people will lose their jobs. Before they close down, prices are going to go up. How would this be good for America? It would NOT be. Obama = The only "change" we will have is the little left in our pockets....

If Obama is elected in a few weeks, federal taxes, spending, and the deficit are all going to rise. Obama wants billions in new spending, and combined with the loss in revenue from an economy in recession, will increase the deficit. Obama will raise tax rates to the point where they distort incentives to work, invest, and produce. Obama's higher taxes will therefore result in less investment and risktaking on the part of capital owners, whose capital finances new companies that create jobs.

Obama has a cheeseburger plan. He is offering $1.95 more a day in middle class tax cuts than McCains plan. Obama is throwing happy meals at the mobs of citizens. At the same time, Obama will increase taxes on job creation capital investments. He will move money from a productivity pool to a consumption pool. McCain will reduce taxes on job creation capital investments. If you want more McDonald jobs then vote for Obama. If you want more Boeing jobs then vote for McCain.

obama will do more, in terms of tax cuts and critical economic policies to help the middle class, the best kind of fiscal stimulus that the economy needs right now. mccain on the other hand is going to give even more tax cuts to the wealthy and corporations who ship jobs overseas while our country is losing thousands of jobs, in massive debt to China, borrowing to buy more middle eastern oil, which McCain's lobbyist campaign managers work for.
