  • My husband loves being a corpsman. He gets to do all the fun medical stuff and his Marines let him shoot all the big guns. It's a win-win situation for everyone!

  • :/ face at the end lol

  • I love shooting the 240 Golf.

  • My guy Hill. Miss my bro. Havent seen him in like 3 yrs. This is Doc Rob. Lima 3/25 1st PLT.

  • I think sombody in the background said, "Gonna have me some sandniggers" WTF

  • @tipsy3T yeah I would be too. Best thing to do in war is seek and destroy the enemy with a group of Marines

  • @arvydas0069 And constantly nag us about changing our socks.

  • @arvydas0069 dude if there was a like on the comments of this video urs would've gotten about 62777 of them!!

  • @ZombieSlayerMovies there are likes on comments, well their are thumb ups

  • @tipsy3T at least you didn't get PTSD.

  • Navy Corpsmen are Marines. Not technically but in our minds (Marines) they are one of us. The one thing the Navy does right is train a hell of a Medic :P

  • ShockUSMCTroop.........I Out shot 88 Force Marines on pistol and 86 on rifle at our Tier One work up....... Hmmmm.

    Doc Shiffer

  • He can shoot, but can he hit the target?

  • y is he wasting ammo???

  • @501stEliteClone test firing the 240G... off route Uranium in Al Anbar province...nothing is wasted...making sure your weapon is good to go

  • @501stEliteClone you never go anywhere without making sure your equipment works

  • @501stEliteClone Cause its fun.. haha

  • yah i am trained to save lives, but i can also take life away.

  • @gabrielmba1 i can lose your medical records :D

  • Why the hell wouldnt he be able to shoot? Like fucking seriously?

  • @usnavy907 Anyone can pull the trigger...put rounds on target is a different story...no offense navy...we're just better at it than you are...

  • @ShockUSMCTroop Yup.... Thats what I tell the Marines all the time on the range when I am the Range Coach, and RSO. The last time I ran the range, 40 Devils UNQ'd. Not one of my Doc's failed to score less than sharpshooter. And no...Navy was not scoring Navy... Now here's the thing for ya... Your Doc's need to be just as good a shot as you. The best field medine is superior fire power. GET THEM TRAINED.

    Chief

    "Doc"...And Qual'd Designated Marksman

  • bye bye 60 :(

  • Hold it down Doc! Hold it down!

  • it says navy corpsman but his uniform looks like a marine uniform?

  • @magnumr Yes, he was attached to a Marine unit so he wears a Marine combat uniform.

  • corpsman are badass, a sailor that can use his weapon and fix some boo boos

  • "Hold it down doc"

  • im in navy DEP. im a corpsman. i plan on going FMF. any advice? i ship out for boot. june 14 next year at great lakes

  • @HollywoodL0L Get in the best shape you can. Wouldn't hurt to know how to handle a rifle/gun either. Generally Marines look at the Navy with some disdain but they expect more from a Devil Doc. You'll garner more respect if you can do more than just keep up with them. See what training [HM] manuals you can get from your recruiter and study!

    HM3/SS

  • @HollywoodL0L im in DEP too but whats crazy is i went to meps 20100720 (lol im prob going to remember it forever cuz you have to write it so much) and i am shipping 20101102, i have talked to other ppl and they are all shipping out june in 11 too . idk how i guess i just got lucky.

  • so your not a corpsman yet then. Good luck in training though

    HA Nesbit currently in FMTB

  • Retired Navy Corpsman here, was with the grunts in the early 70s loved it, Did as much firing as I could. 6 yrs total with the Marines, Retured from the Air Wing at Cherry Point in 88, was with 2/7 2/3 and the old 4/12

  • @BobSit Oorah!

  • @BobSit

    2/7 BABY ERRRRR!!!!!!

  • @BobSit Thanks for your service. I'm also a retired doc, was with 3rd LAR out of 29 Palms and RCT 7 back in 2004.

  • if i remember correctly the way I was told to shoot a belt fed gun that that was in bursts of 3 or 5.

  • He better be a good shoot hangin out with trained killers all the time

  • Doc takes no crap from nobody!!! GO NAVY!!!

  • lol! its always fun to shoot a 240!

  • I went through just about as many schools to train as a corpsman as many special forces trainees go through. You'd be amazed.

  • Comment removed

  • @patriot907 So you went through Infantry School, Airborne School, Ranger School, passed the Special Forces Assessment and Selection, the Special Forces Qualification course which includes SERE, Language, Small Unit Tactics, Unconventional Warfare and your medical training to become a Navy Corpsman?

  • @CaAirborne415th They gothrough as many schools, not the same ones. though corpman do go through SERE school

  • If u go IA with the army, you will probably return home with 5 ribbons. They give out medals like candy. You pick up a tiny rock and throw it over a fence, you deserve a LOC

  • Never call us medics, we are not the army. I went to a army hospital in my cammies and they were afraid of us. Us corpsman are far more trained then the army. They actually pull corpsman for a IA billet because the Army blows. The Army will take anyone.

  • ha, damn straight. too bad they will be equal to us soon, they are moving all branches schools to san antonio. i've been hoping they would pull me for an ia billet soon, i'd rather go with the army than the marines

  • do corpsman carry rifles? cuz i hear they dont

  • @chunkeypuff As far as I know, greenside corpsmen carry M16s just like the marines they are with.

  • i want to be a navy corpsman but i was wondering... can navy corpsman just be assigned to a marine platoon or do will they make you work at a field hospital too? cause i just want to be a combat medic. but i don't want to be a medic in the army i want to be a corpsman for marines!

  • you go with marines but within that you can be with infantry, logistics, or the BAS (field hospital). its whatever orders you get assigned or are lucky enough to pick.

eventually you will have to go navy side and work at hospitals.

  • When you get Done with corps school and get your orders you have to first go to FMTB or Field Medical Training Battalion at either Camp Pendleton or Camp Lejeune and hopefully if you did good enough in corps school to get the orders you want you would have to pick to be assigned to 1st MAR Div in Pendleton 2nd MAR Div in Camp Lejeune or 3rd MAR DIV in Hawaii or Okinawa Japan. You dont really get any action in The Air Wings or MLG's

  • navy has two types of corpman if i recall. those that work the field and those that work the medical unit. marines love em. be prepared though. one of my RDCs is a corpman. some of the shit you see will fuck you up. it certainly fucked her up. tells stories that gave us nightmares and made her relive hers. but i give her the utmost respect and i drew the most inspiration from her and my other RDCs. they helped my division brothers and i get through boot camp. they have my respect and always will

  • >can navy corpsman just be assigned to a marine platoon

    YES

do will they make you work at a field hospital too

    No

  • I want to join the Marines but i also want to be a medic. I know the marines dont have medics, but the navy helps them in that area. How do i go to being a navy corpsman in the navy to working alongside with the Marines?

  • respect the doc or you'll end up like Lt. Dan

  • Hold her down, Doc, hold her down.

  • June 10th cant come soon enough.

Cant wait to work with the marines.

  • MAG 58, Belgian machine gun. Brings back nice memories from my military service last year.

We called it KSP 58 though. Completely stupid video though since anyone can shoot burst fire from a lavetta.

  • yeah some but not all my platoons corpsman was a freaking ninja

  • the corpsman are sometimes better trained than the combat units

  • LOL in what way? Medically of course...definitely not better at warfighting....that's not their job

  • well you have a point but Recon Corpsman ARE good shots

  • a FMF Doc can hold their own with a bunch of 03s

  • @arvydas0069 they gothrough infantry training same as the Marines/soldiers smart one

  • @TheHalopaco There were no Corpsmen in Marine infantry school. In fact, most Corpsmen I've encountered are pretty bad on the ground...I mean this is only my 4th summer over here

  • @TheHalopaco Corpsman go through basic Navy training, not Marine training, there is a difference. Marines have more of an emphasis on marksmanship.

  • @arvydas0069 I thought corpsman had to go through coastal warfare training before they join up with the infantry

  • @arvydas0069 the fact is they have undergone basic training, they might not be better at war fighting on the ground because they don't recieve regular training for infantry/ground tactics. Just as you prob wouldnt do good at their job.

  • damn that shits tight

  • dam that was a 240 aint it?

  • Hurrah!

  • oh yeah HOO YAH

  • Does anyone know the extensive amount of physical training Corpsman goes through...Same as rest of the Navy of what? Because I'm interested in either Navy SeaBee's or Navy Corpsman but I have mild asthma (which is the only reason I'm not enlisting in the Marines I wouldn't be able to hide it with the ridiculous PT) I'm certain I can hide the mild asthma in the Navy though...Anyone?

  • Ask this guy:

    xHOODLUM760x

  • All Navy commands are required to pt atleast 3 times a week, if you go for FMF(fleet marine force) as a corpsman you might be subject to the Marine Commands PT regulations. all i know about SeaBees is that you will never see a ship, which is lame but hey seabees are sick. Im an IT right now in the Navy. i just fix computers. lol. if you have questions about bootcamp or general navy stuff ill be happy to answer. with the asthma im pretty sure the navy with give you what ever you need to cope

  • there's probably a load of jobs you can get when you get out with IT experience

  • I have awful vision can I still be a recon corpsman?

  • get a waiver. might take awhile, the navy is full.

  • @McKenna0001 as long as you dont need an inhaler on you, they will let you in

  • Comment removed

  • I love when people draw their knowledge on guns from Call of Duty games.

  • yeah... it doesnt get them very far

  • anyone can do that

  • yep good rates of fire on his bursts.

whats all the negative waves man (kellys heros)

I didnt know the difference between a medic and a corpsman, and frankly would i ask him as he was fixing me...no

  • How dare you insult HM2 by calling him a medic. We corpsman are far better trained than an Army medic.. thats why we can IA with the Army and they dont IA with marines.

  • It was just a reference for people who don't know what a Corpsman does, that's all. I'll call up Brian and ask him if he's offended.

I know you guys are well trained and dependable.

  • didnt mean to sound so serious in that last comment haha. forgot to throw in an "lol" at the end

  • tax dollars well spent !

  • you're 14 years old, you have no idea what taxes are.

  • Is it true that marines can't swim?

And that when the cameras aren't on them they take off their helmets, put on clown shoes and rainbow wigs and run around the caves screaming the 'Team America' theme tune?

    Just a rumour I heard

  • 1. Marines are Amphibious- look that up in a dictionary if you must- your intellect seems a little slow

    2. When the cameras are off we are beating up people like you.

  • sounds about right. hey i think ima be joining up

  • haha funny comment Deadheaddead :D

  • I reckon that's true

  • if they cant swim then why would they be called The Marines?

  • (Deadheaddead):

    1) Marines are amphibious?

So they can live in the water? They can eat, sleep, shit and cook in the water? For years?

O.K. Jarhead - if you say so.

    2. When the cameras are off you are beating people like me up?

I am an unarmed, untrained, innocent civillian.

When the cameras are off you are beating up unarmed, untrained, innocent civillians?

    Yeah - sounds about right.

  • ......dude stfu

  • when did whoever your talking about beat up unarmed civillians

  • He said that when the cameras are off them, Marines are beating up people like me - and I'm an unarmed civillian.

  • even though you wrote this 10 months ago, he was talking about beating up dumb ass pussies like yourself, not to sound ignorant...

  • CUZ THEY CAN ARE YOU HAPPY?

  • Get some "Devil Doc"! Corpsman, best job in the military!

  • Get some Doc!

  • Are you a corpsman or a marine?

  • The man in the video is Corpsman HM2 Hill. I am a Marine (former)

  • darn hoping to ask you some questions if you were

  • there is no former Marine!!!!!

Once A Marine, Always A Marine!

and you know this MANNN!! lol

  • I am a Marine....I say former because...well...you know....I'm done with that time in my life

  • whoo 7.62

  • i wanna shoot noobs with that cannon

  • Join the Royal Canadian Mounted Horse Cops

  • id rather princess patricas light infntry

  • They still have horses damn, no wonder canada got there ass beat

  • you must be a yank who thinks that your the best on the field of battle. well look at the numbers from afganistan you yanks have lost more boys the us Canadians have so Boro Gom Sho

  • no im not a yank im aussie, and i was just trying to be comical. because it was horse mountted corpse or something. take a joke

  • Well I sorry that I called you a Dumb Yank but you did sound like one. I Can Take a Joke when its not directed at Canada's Armed Forces, Thats where I get a little testy. Canada may not be the best equiped Army, but it sure can Kick some serious Ass when it comes down to it.

  • That is not a "cannon" as you mention it is a M60E3 a light machine gun used for squad support mostly just keeping the targets from ever shooting back

  • the fuck is wrong with you?

  • its a M240 not a M60......

  • quit milking the trigger

  • Hm2 Hill was just performing a combat weapons check, not a range qual or demonstration of proper trigger control:)

  • I wanna either go GM or HM. I just don't really wanna get sent to Iraq.

  • Don't want to go to Iraq? Thats like practicing for 4 years for the olympics and never actually competing in them. I was pissed I had to wait until 2005 to go to Iraq when I was in the Marines. I wanted to use my infantry training in real life.

  • Im with ya Mode. I leave for basic this coming tuesday then head across the street to Corps School. Cant wait to get to FMSS though. Marines + Corpsmen = unstoppable.

  • nice! im leaving for basic in one week! enlisted as HM (corpsman)

  • good job...look forward to having you with the FMF team.

  • i have a question im trying 2 decide whether 2 become a navy corpsman or a army combat medic. which one should i join?

  • Well I would see which Branch is going to offer you more. I would say Navy Corpsman because you are basically always with the Marines and thats the best place to be. If you are going to be saving lives in battle, better to have well trained infantry and better shooters covering your ass, right?

I was in the Marines so I have no clue what the Army and what the Navy offer for bonuses and stuff. All I know is I never got a bonus, didn't ask for one, but I do know they have better ones the us.

  • thanks do corpsman get weapons?

  • Yes. Corpsman in Iraq will get a sidearm (Pistol) and a Rifle just ours, except you won't ever carry the any grenade launcher or sit behind a machine gun or anything like that because your weapons are intended for your defense only. You'll never carry a sniper rifle or anything crazy like that either. It all has to do with the Geneva Convention's standards on medical personell in war

  • ya you can they have scout sniper corpsman out there dude

  • They aren't actual Snipers. They are there to care for the snipers. They aren't school-trained Snipers and they rarely shoot. They must also give up thier non-combatant rights under the geneva convention, which is laughable in itself.

  • No I knew a corpsman that went to scout sniper school yes they have to give up theyre geneva convention status lol but they went and passed and he was with a STA plt up in 29 palms

  • the thing is, to become a sniper you have to attend SOTIC, which scout snipers do not. The main difference is that a scout sniper or SDM is used to simply give accurate and well placed shots to extend the reach of his group. a sniper is used to put well placed fire on a specific target while using field craft and marksmanship for his own mission or the mission of his two man team. snipers perform their own moves while SDMs and Scouts aid a squad.

  • Sidearm definately, rifle if you can. Back in '91 in Kuwait i had a folding stock AK I picked up, they were everywhere (never fired, only dropped once). You drop that fucker in the mud and it'll still fire.

  • Navy Corpsman. I'm going into the HM myself

  • I was a FMF/8404 Corpsman 1983-1993, was with the Marines from '87-'91...(Two years with the Grunts [2/6 - 2/8], a year with Arty [2/10], and six months with 2D Tanks in Desert Storm)

Best tour of duty by far! Yeah, there are rough times, but overall, if I could go back in, I would do it all over again.

Learn all you can... "Train Hard, Play Hard!"

    Fuckin' OOH-RAH!

  • We love our Corpsman!!!

  • We need them.....that's for sure....and love them like brothers as well.

  • nice
