Dorothy did interview Ruby and claimed that she had information that would break the case wide open.....very shortly after she was found dead...I also believe she was murdered.
This clip is a little disconcerting knowing today Dorothy's alcohol problem. Still, it does illustrate well the elements that made WML great -- Daly's literal interpretation of questions generating humor, interesting contestant, amusing occupation, Arlene playing good cop, Dorothy playing bad cop.
Thanx to crepehanger47 for posting these contestant sequences.
She wrote a column specializing in Broadway news and politics syndicated in 150 + newspapers. She reported on crime and trials for the Hearst papers. She hosted with her husband a radio morning talk show "Breakfast with Dorothy and Dick" heard on WOR - AM New York in 1945-1963. She died in November 1965; the coroner was indecisive about cause.
On YouTube watch What's My Line with Joey Heatherton 7 Nov 1965 to see in 3 parts DK's last show. She died about 8 hours after the broadcast.
Wow you're very knowledgable about Ms K! I had no idea, I'm from sydney Australia so until a few weeks ago and seeing this on YouTube I didn't even know this awesome show existed let alone anything about the panel! Thanks very much for the information. I'll definitely have a look at that particular eppisode. Wow 8 hours after filming, that's amazing.
Yes. Some Kennedy conspiracy experts think she interviewed Jack Ruby and discovered a major clue to the case, but the new JFK assassination book "Reclaiming History" (well over a thousand pages) rejects her investigation out of hand.
@UofLCardFan08 apparently found osawls did and he was anotorius commie and his commie cia buds as directed by the kenendy admin allwoed hime and many defects back into the country to f us up more unthinking that his buds jfk's buds the soviets would want to kill him for their own funny reasons being sch good friends they were killing Diem, Iraq's general and helping the marxists murder the congo and all
@26mae1987 I read her biography and I believe that her husband, Richard Kollmar, died in the early 1970s and one her children ended up in foster care. I'd recommend the book (Killgallen) ... long out of print but maybe available at the library.
"What feather did you have in mind?" LOL!!

I haven't much been fond of Dorothy in watching these episodes, but I love her hairdo. These ladies are absolutely lovely.
