I love how much control she has of her bow arm and hand... And the bow itself is going straight rather than all over the finger board, like I see many of my fellow violinists-even concert masters don't keep their bowings straight! Anina is very talented:D Playing mozart at 5!!!

Well I wondered that. In her latest videos, she looks about 10 and is playing a 3/4 size violin which is normally for 9-12 year olds. But her dad says she is only 7!

I don't see that there's anything to be gained by lying to total strangers, so who knows, she could just be tall for her age. Anyway, she's great player however old she is :-)

i have seen and taught talented 9, 10, 11 year olds, but a 5 year old playing this concerto at this level must be a first for me. have to see it to believe it. such intensity and focus, how can you manage all that!

i repeat what i have said about her sound in another video which is besides her very good intonation regardless of age, she has managed to generate very mature, deep sound with her bowing. not sure if this is talent or hardwork or may be both. every beginner should watch this clip again and again.

Friend of mine alerted me to this kid/video. If the kid has the interest and fate to pursue a solo career, she possesses the raw ingradients--focus, energy, flair, a dominating attitude and good ear. She played better than most adults and sadly, a few pros imo. Her combination of techniques, interpretation, understanding and passion is...yup, unthinkable for that age. She rocked the house.
