  • So very beautiful work that can turn a frown upside down, even if just a short minutes. We can all learn a lesson here. What really matters? God bless you all.

  • Am I the only one here who got all teary eyed?

  • He humbles me, and I feel a bit ashamed for complaining about my little problems. My we all have bit of the compasion, love and heart this man and this people have.

  • ANGEL

  • it never stops amazes me that we live in potential paradise but we can not live with one another in peace. isn t that funny and sad in a way. we all know what we need to do in theory but it is imposible to do it.

  • God bless him!

  • I think i wanna help him ...

  • Incrivel o trabalho de Patch Adams.

  • You don't need mediators to talk with god. Meet Patch Adams.

  • One beautiful human being!

Everyone with a heart and a soul would dream for something like this. To help the children who need moral support. For those who need a guidens, a parent, a family!

  • Dont you really notice that these kids were injured by weapons of some enemy?

Who was the enemy, is this your own country government?

  • Beautiful and powerful!

  • BEAUTIFUL !

  • I feel so sorry for those poor kids :(

  • what a pile of horse shit

  • @drplbiftin A pile of horse shit? Please elaborate.

  • @blade004 pile = heap, horse = big mammal with four legs, shit = faeces

    heap of mammalian faeces

  • @drplbiftin Now that you have finished being a cock breath, answer the question properly within the context for which it was asked.

  • @blade004 why should I? you smell like the gay bellend

  • @drplbiftin You posted a comment on an open forum, if you don't want others to question the thoughts in your head then don't make them public for others to respond accordingly.

And this comment of "gay bellend". Grow up little boy, you've too much time on your hands and need a good smack around the head.

  • @blade004 LOL you smell and you're a gay bellend

  • This is the reason I am in nursing school right now.... Thanks to Patch and his peers for doing work that is --- human at its core.....

  • The most touching thing I ever saw

  • Comment removed

  • aww those babies :( and the anguish of their mothers :(

and it's almost as if they've forgotten how to laugh.

I had no idea Patch Adams was real, I thought it was just a Robin Williams movie. Thank goodness we have people like him in the world.

  • When I saw those kids hurting, I cried hard.

When I saw them laughing and smiling, I smiled, but I was still crying! Thank GOD that someone really cares. Thank God for Patch Adams and everyone that has ever worked with him. All of them (you) are wonderful people.

  • no thumbs down!

...i swear if you press that button i'll....I'LL!!!!...

pinch your tooshy and call you a codfish!

  • I Have been punished in the beginning of my career for not wanting to follow the hypocritical rules of this MNC i had worked with, im sure the journey must have been painful for Dr. Patch. I Respect his persistence and courage.

  • Wow. There's the politicians and economists setting the world on fire... And then there's people like this... trying against all odds to bring what little hope they can. Beautiful.

  • LAUGHTER IS THE CURE FOR THE PAIN!

  • We need more Patches in the world.

  • Patch is the most beautiful human ...

  • very moving. i hope more people will spread love like this.

  • I love you! thank you for opening the eyes of some, while most are still blind, It only takes one small gesture to make Large Changes(EXAMPLE: "DOMINOES").....

  • Gee, what did Hunter "Patch" Adams start anyway? A gift of love and laughter to all.

He, and his fellow mirthmakers, judge not your color or your creed or your beliefs but judge, instead, the child in each and everyone of us (at heart). Patch, continue your work and continue to make life a better place for all of us. Maybe it will be you that, maybe in a small way, brings peace.

  • aw seeing the children's eyes light up is so cool!

  • bless his soul for helping all those people. :)

  • to see the childrens faces go from a look of sadness to being happy is truely amazing. yo uare one most amazing person patch adams

  • Doctor Patch deserves the Nobel price for peace and all the Oscars for this video

  • we can all make a difference in world but some decided to ruin this world , and the worst some people make it the greater is the impact when people like DR Patch come into picture .for this video clip i would give seven Oscars and the the price for the world peace Nobel price for peace

  • i cant stop tears...God Bless Patch Adams...God STOP stupid wars!

  • Film is both audio AND video. The song is beautiful but dubbed over. Where was the audio with the ambient sound, the giggles and cries of the children, the violin, and the real-time dialogue?

  • Good point, msm2you.

  • I'm a big admirer of Dr. Adams - which is why I dislike saying this: Is it just me, or do most of the children in this clip seem NOT to light up because of the clowns? I have a feeling maybe clowning for a child so early in his/her trauma (the one having fabric - or is it burnt skin? - peeled off her body) may not be the best idea. I think the idea of clowning for patients is WONDERFUL, but it's just... this video gives me a feeling that maybe it isn't good in every single case. May even be bad.

  • @malovela I see what you are saying. But in truth very young children worldwide have a distrust of clowns (I dated a clown for a time and he told me that this distrust was common). I think that when doing this type of work one must take the culture into account. I think using puppets would have worked better. In 2007 a puppet workshop was held in the region and it worked well. Plus there is a long theatre and comedy tradition that they could have used. Just a thought.

  • can someone tell me what's the first song?

  • @valoisbr It's an Arabic flute music. Youtube didn't let me past the URL's song but if search "Arabic Song part 1" you will find it.

  • go patch go!

  • He gives so much inspiration.

I am grateful that he and the people like him still exist.

Wish so much that I'll be one of them.

  • Thanks for being a patch to all the sufferings of all the patients you have helped and the people around them.. Not only you uplifted their spirits, but also you perform different miracles that would really brightened one's gloomy day... I'm so inspired to also be the light to others through my own way.. Thanks Dr. Hunter Adams and to your team...

  • wow that was amazing im so very moved by patch and his lifes work, he is proof that with joy you can do anything, such a trying situation but i guess he took that advice to heart if the quote from the movie is true focus on the solution not the problem.

  • I have such respect and admiration for those who can work with burn patients, especially children. I'm not sure I could do it. You know you are helping them, but to help them you have to cause such pain. It must take tremendous courage and compassion to do that sort of work. As for Patch Adams - WOW! And there's medical evidence that laughter helps the healing process. I am now going to watch the rest of the videos about Patch and his work.

  • RESPECT for Patch Adams and his converts.

  • =O) tfrom 3 weeks from today i go to Belaus...near Chernobyl.. for a clowning week...in hospitals..this video helped me.. a lot...

  • WOW, as expected the movie can't hold a candle to this, The girl at the beginning with full-thickness burns and how they helped her get through surgery....they're all saints descendant from God himself in my eyes.

  • Wow... I had to watch the end twice, some strange mist descended over my eyes making them leak wet stuff. Truely inspirational stuff.

  • We can face that togheter, we can follow Patch. I belive IN that

  • This is just beautiful - it made me cry and smile at the same time.

  • I started crying too... This is very inspirational material for me.

  • Wow, this video is so great and inspirational.

Patch is the most unusual doc in the world.

I see these poor kids whose childhood was stolen. And I thought. If they had had

all these joy, cheers, toys and clowns who knows, maybe Taliban wouldn't have so many fighters now.

  • there are some people out there who shine as beacons for humanity

they show us that it really is possible to be better

i care not for what race, color or creed you subscribe you - you have to bow down to people like this. what a guy

  • So very powerful... I cry on the inside for the suffering that happens everyday. In my eyes, Patch is a saint. He loves everyone and develops friendships to cause joy in the hearts of the ones that truly need it. This is what the world truly needs. I, just like him, wish to bring not only help to the people, but also, the greatest gift of all: Happiness. Joy. There's nothing more beautiful than a smile.

  • phew ... that is intense .. incredible footage ... thanks for putting such moving and inspiring content online. As Mother Theresa said: invite me to a peace rally anytime.

  • Patch brings so much inspiration and kindness to people; to children, to adults, whoever he meets. He has a great gift to reach out. I met him at the Findhorn Community years ago, and I was deeply touched by his caring and his courage,

  • simply amazing greetings from Chile.

  • I can't choose words that can cover the compassion and humanity of a simple but SO highly effictive way to help others than what is shown here.

The sad thing I think is we all posses what is shown here but we are all hiding in our busy schedules:(

I am sad too say no exception to this but these films make you stop, if only for a moment, and reflect your own life and I'm thankfull too you for making me realise that I'm doing far too little to help people.

TY SO MUCH for posting this vid.!!!

  • Patch is such an incredible man. He has done wonders for so many people. He is truly one of those people that will have a lasting impact on our world.

  • Pfft... thank you so much for posting this clip. It's hard to believe that it is so easy to give some comfort and relief in a world that seems to be so far away from that.

  • We need More Dr. Patch Adams's

What a blessing God gave us in him

  • Comment removed

  • Patch Adams is truly a blessing for all those little kids. It is amazing how a bit of effort can change those painful moments. So much patience and understanding coming from strangers to other strangers out of compassion. They are great examples of what a human being should be.

  • Wow!

  • Blessings to the little ones that allowed us to see and feel. Mother needed as much relief as her child . . .her tears show her pain ; her smile shows she's past though it that time. . . . Simple bubbles, simple make-up, simple people, releasing powerful medicine. . . Share yourself in smiles, they are powerful as you've just witnessed. . .

  • Indeed sweetheart!...Indeed....

..It is incredibly mind blowing the HUGE change we can make with just SMALL changes, change in perception and attitude.......Loved you comment...oxo

  • This was very moving piece, which spoke loudly. I heard in the silence of the voices:

Giving: Touching, smiles, creating laughter, from your "being-space"- caring and reaching out to share your energy; flip a switch.

Reaction: Distraction from pain, smiling, How? - our human pharmacy releasing our human drugs to ease pain. No pain, healing begins, no stress, of pain, -healing continues.

so simple a gift thank for sharing.
