do history on belly dance, its not all about being sexy, hollywood did that. belly dance was not even performed for men. but in groups of women, it's about empowering ones self, celebrate'g the birth of child, celebrate'g life, new marriage, enjoy being a woman, feel beautiful no matter your age or size. when you feel good about yoursefl you tend to ozz sexiness for some people, face it, confident in ones self is sexy, & the dance can be. but don't make it like that's all the dance has to offer.

Not all dance has a sexual nature. Little children dance, is their dance about sexual expression? NO! It's about joy and playfulness. That shows not all dance must be about sex. Sure, some people find joy and playfulness sexy but is it the fault of the dancer? The dancer can't control what goes on in people's mind. WHAT people find sexy has a lot to do with it too. Sexiness isn't the purpose of most of the featured dances, it's a byproduct of the grace and confidence that dance builds.
