Oh wow! Good memories come... I bought this album when I was in High School. I think I heard Govinda and wanted the CD. All the songs are soothing and enigmatic! Hey Ninotzcka, I like how u built the video with all the images. It fits nicely! :)
@55mautak A cover is always necessary. In concealment lies a great part of our strength. Hence we must always hide ourselves under the name of another society. --Die neusten ararbeiten des Spartacus and Philo in dem Illuminaten-Orden, 1794, p: 165
This is taken from page 491 of Foucault's Pendulum by Umberto Eco. 'Coincidentally' Umberto Eco has written the introduction to the newly printed version of Alexandre's The Count of Monte Christo.
Each name of God has definitions: Govinda is " The one who protects the cows", as you may know cow is considered as the mother in Indian culture and is sacred.
vishnu is one of the three main gods in hinduism , the other two being shiva and brama , brama(creater) vishnu (preserver) and shiva(destroyer). krishna is one of vishnus avatars , when you see a picture of a blue or sumtimes black youth playing a flute with a peacock feather in his hair or hat sumtimes with rahda , a beautiful gopi with her arms round his neck , thats krishna .
This song is about praising peace and love yet people are arguing over the sins of man!!! Surely this proves there can be no peace without chaos, for what is peace but the lack of chaos? And what is chaos but the lack of peace?
i love the song, i don't care if i don't understand. the important is the flow of the music - i can feel it ,like i am traveling from one place to another place in a fantasy land .hehehe
hmmm..why are there pictures of Shiva in a song for Govind? Lol not that shiva would mind but I think to justify this we should have a cool rock song for Shiv and put Krishna's picture on them :D
@Rob1766 - me too. i love the song, i don't care if i don't understand. the important is the flow of the music - i can feel it ,like i am traveling from one place to another place in a fantasy land .hehehe

Yeah my mistake. The pitchforks and all the others stuff must represent Shiva the Destroyer, or the letter "D" in the word GOD (Generator - Brahma, Operator - Ganesh, Destroyer - Shiva). Maybe the western idea of Devil was carved out of this idea of Shiva?
@curlyorange Urm, when we call Shiva the Destroyer we mean the Destroyer of evil. We don't mean someone who goes around ripping apart good things. And our Trinity is Brahma, Vishnu and Shiva NOT Brahma, Ganesha and Shiva. Also they do not represent the letters G, O and D because the English language was not spoken in India back then. Actually at that time, when our Gods were written about, the English language didn't exist!
So u see, Shiva is a God, one of the Big 3, not the devil
@ayyo89. Shiva = Destroyer which later on turned into the "devil". You have to remember that Hinduism was long before these western religions. You do mention that in the case of language in your reply, but you do not mention it in case of religion. The Sanskrit language was well before the English language just like in the case of the religion. And since we build upon our previous technologies and ideas over time, it is not far fetched to see the Union between these 2 ideas & religions.
@curlyorange I am a Hindu and yes, I know Hinduism predates western religion. What I meant was that Shiva being the basis for the Devil seems to me, pretty unreal tho I can see where one would think that, the trishul becomes the pitchfork etc. But Shiva was the destroyer of evil.He is the one who, according to our mythology, rid the world of evil, many times over. And since we believe in the cycles of birth and death,He is the one who will ultimately destroy the universe, so that it can start over
@curlyorange I guess what I am trying to say is this, how can Shiva be the basis for the Devil when He was good. He is one of the most revered Hindu Gods!!!!
@curlyorange later turned to devil??? just coz he is th destroyer doesnt make him a devil.. it depicts end of a cycle to begin a new one which is a good thing..
@curlyorange - ur mistaking destroyer as an aspect for evil, it's nothing like that. if god creates, and say something turns out not right - god has to be able to destroy that. hence there are 3 aspects - creator, maintainer, destroyer.
the concept of devil as in satan, is that of adversary to god, so it'd be more like god creates that being and it goes wrong at some point so god has to destroy it or it'll make others go wrong too.
@curlyorange - satan the concept of adversay is actually a distortion of what Set is. the set prinicpal is more about double-checking things and getting proof. to make sure a thing is correct. the distorted evil version, which many practice or think of as satanism (not always called that of course, as it is about deception) is about defending evil, giving it a voice, in some way promoting it or claiming it is required, hence why it's a perversion of the Set principle of the neters / ennead.

@Spitfiremacx = same twat that pretended to be crowley, mengele, kubrick, and loads of others and made it all completely fucked up beyond all recognition.

2. ur the idiot. obviously.

@Spitfiremacx - u also proved me right again, that u tried to replace those people and pretended to be them (not the only ones u did that to) by refering to my real name - as what ur doing in having a channel that uses my real name, is exactly the same dynamic u use against others too.
as u know, i knew u did that in my previous lives too. and i know u know i told u what happens to pedo's like u - god will destroy u entirely.
This video was made by people who worship the devil. Don't get me wrong but this song is probably one of the best songs I have ever heard. The chants and the meaning of the video itself has a very deep significance as well. But take a look at what these pictures really represent. Pitchforks, dead fur, abundance, animal cruelty, wrong symbolism, snakes luxury...!!!
@curlyorange hello, i can understand that you are trying to be realistic and a no go for violence but this is really the wrong place. You listened to this song because it is a respect to the Lord and for this inner love to the Supreme, certain opinions intended to harm the whole image should not be expressed. The truth is really very jugemental but just respect, man.
@curlyorange Seriously wrong and misinformed. Those are pictures of Shiva who loves animals. He only wears fur as he lives in the himalayas and those are fur of animals which have already died. Shiva's pet is a buffalo who he loves like his own child. Hinduism has the STRONGEST care for animals. More than 400 MILLION Indians are VEGETARIANS. yes 400 milion, more than the population of complete united states. Mahabharat and Ramayana our holy books keeps harping on animal care and rights constantly
