  • Take that and stuff it!, Lori's brother. Ha! Fingers crossed that he will come around. Yay! I'm happy for you!

  • I'm also from NJ! I"m so happy about this. This is fantastic. I dont know if it will actually happen. I'm just a skeptic. This like you said is in fact wonderful progress. Christie will kinda do anything to show his point of view and his arrogance in my opinion.............rawr. However, if this happens imma be a happy camper and have a huge party at rutgers. :) HELL YEA biatches

  • I'm from NJ! This almost makes me proud of my home state. XD

For serious, though, this is really good news.

  • its about time they passed this law! now hopefully we're one step closer to not giving attention to gay people. Give gay people everything they want, until theres nothing left to march about.

  • I love that you spoke about this in your video. You are sooo right civil unionized sounds so stupid but Im happy for the baby steps gay marriage has taken. I remember in hs when i had my first gf we would always say well if this gets serious were gonna have to move to Massachusetts, Now I can stay in my home city (nyc) and get civil unionized now if we were only still together lol

  • What part of NJ r you from

  • I so wish we could have this happen in Ohio... I live in Columbus, which is considered the gay capital of the midwest!

  • I know isn't it awesome that Washington State is working on getting same sex marriage recognize. The reason I bring it up is because I was born and raise in WA my whole life. Even though I don't belive in marriage I still hope it goes through so everyone can marry the person they love.

  • If i said my initials were NJ would you allow me to take your title seriously? lol

I wish there was gay marriage in wy...

"BWAHAHA how preposterous! gay marriage in the state of equality?! hoho! we will not be having that!"

  • "nobody wants to get civil unionized" lol sooo true

  • I live in Michigan, and seriously there is no way that the government here is ever going to change their stance... It really sucks... and is pretty darn sick when you look at it. They are currently trying to Take Away all of queer rights saying that we are not human and are to be discriminated against... If I wasn't living in such a good open community I probably would have been lynched by now.

  • It seems that Chris Christie wants to put the Gay marriage rights to the ballot. As reported by Joe my God. He may not support gay marriage or want to have to sign it into law, so he then says put it to a vote and lets see what happens. He is a coward not to sign it into law right away. And he was just on Oprah's show the other night. You'd think he changed a little.

  • I wish we could make progress in Florida. :\

  • I live in Michigan... It sucks!

  • Get married in Boston! It's awesome and legal!

  • Lori, I don't know about you, but I believe we will not be equal, or have equality until all ʟɢʙᴛǫ people have ᴇxᴀᴄᴛʟʏ the same rights as people who call themselves sᴛʀᴀɪɢʜᴛ. Until then we will still be discriminated against. By the way, when you coughed and said Kɪᴍ Kᴀʀᴅᴀsʜɪᴀɴ, was that an expletive? ♀❤♀

  • The British government is looking to legalise gay marriage (opposed to a civil partnership) by 2015. I got really excited when the PM backed this as the Conservative party has always been known as a homophobic party. My excitement was short lived as now back benchers are leading the biggest revolt they've ever had on this issue. These people don't have a right to tell me that I deserve less rights than them because I'm gay. Hopefully we will see it legalised anyway.

  • Yeah, equality for all! I'm rooting for you NJ! Love from the Netherlands.

  • So I am from NJ!!!! and ur in NJ! but I am in college in PA now. But when I am home you should do a meet up. I would love to meet a beaver.

  • :D

  • Lori, where in NJ do you live?? I'm looking at the NJ/NY area as a possibility of a place to move to after I graduate.

  • Absolutely amazes me we STILL have to fight for equality, something a heterosexual person is handed just on the basis of their orientation. Penalizing people for their sexuality, something completely beyond our control. It's sickening discrimination. Why can't i commit myself to my partner? Where's the harm? My life & i want to marry. For being born gay i'm denied the right to live happy ever after? Like being gay is a crime? Gets me so pissed off. Legalize gay marriage EVERYWHERE and do it NOW!

  • I think this should of been done years ago in all countries, no difference on what gender you are!! I know in one respect how gay people feel, I am not gay but disabled...I have come across at least 4 people who believe that disabled people shouldn'get married as it may process more disabled people, go figure!! Plus one of them sais all disabled people whether they are adult or children should be killed, nice person....sarcasm is see properly on text.

  • *cough cough* "Kim Kardashian" *cough cough* :)

  • Christie is gonna let us vote on it, yayy :] lets go Jersey!

  • you are attractive.

    and sweet.

  • GOOOO LORRRRII <3

  • I live in nj and I hope this goes through. I've been waiting for this for so long. Thanks for talking about this issue.

  • I live in NJ and REALLY hope that this bill goes through!

  • You are so sweet :)
