haha brilliant! i think everyone should watch the original video for this song which is on youtube so they understand the ad a bit better = ) but very very well done haha
thats a smasher, proud to have been involved with it, i wondering how it would all come together with all those still shots, leaves the same impression on you as a good guinness ad does, well done folks
It was all shot on location in Northern Ireland. The ad was created on digital stills cameras. The boat and the rower were picked up and moved 3 feet then the oars moved and so on for each frame (25 per second).
I agree with layyourwayfirst. An advert without a voice-over is so refreshing, and all-the-more more memorable because of it! It lets you sit and think at the end, like a short film would.
At last an ad that portrays a touch of art and poetry. I think the soundtrack is beautiful...who is it? And it's nice to watch something that lets the visuals do the talking without being ruined by a voice-over!

This ad is now a Silver award winner at Cannes. One of only 18 awards for UK agencies this year.
Well done to those involved.

Top drawer stuff. Best ad made outside London by a mile this year. Quality. Done such a good brand proud.

What's really nice is that it doesn't shout. It's interesting enough to hold your attention but it never shoves the idea or product in your face.
It has the same atmospheric magic as Sony's Balls ad, especially with that wonderful music.
