I can't claim to be an expert, however i do listen to classical music and have seen opera live. How is this not an aria in the greatest operatic tradition. The meld between an emergent pop culture and a European tradition with the symphonic melodies and adroitness of classically trained musicians, think Liszt and his references to earlier folk tunes, is quite amazing. This is pop music thereby of not only great quality but of a great tradition. Quite wonderful, and you can dance to it. Ace.
