Excellent video, but here's a little fn fact...

Leprechauns actually wore red! It was a mistranslation! Yeah, it's true! Saint Patrick's Day should have been red this whole time!

It wasn't until the early 1900s that people put green on leprechauns... that was an error on the translators' part.

Apparently, Native Irish (called Gaelic) is hard to read... I can't read it either.

That is correct!

It was a mistranslation in the early 1900s from an Irish poet (in native Irish-Gaelic) to English that swapped the color pallete. After the wave of Irish Immigrants escaping from Ireland in a Potato Famine and English racism, it stuck. Ireland was also referenced as "Emerald Isle" (the green grass is really GREEN, I've seen pictures), and and we've used green ever since.

Plus, if we tried to revert it, PETA would get us because it is the color of dead seals.
