  • Is there a place where I can download this? The other sites where I could download it I either didn't trust or I had to pay to sign up.

  • @BigLeprichaun Hi. I usually use keepvid.com a really simple piece of software and you don't have to sign up - simply choose the file format that you desire. Hope that this helps. Paul

  • @paulecohen Wow thanks, that is really cool. I will use this a lot.

  • @spogebabe12 Hi, check out my other video 'The Elements Song - Karaoke Backing Track & Animation (Tom Lehrer)' for an audio only version. You could then use a website like Dirpy to convert the clip to an MP3 track. I hope that this helps. Paul

  • Hi Paul--yours is the best animation for this song by far, but I teach middle school! Do you have a version that doesn't use the word "hell" on the stop sign?

  • @subiwan Hi. I have used it in school and I guess that it is so quick, nobody has ever had an issue with it. I don't have any other versions, but you could download with (keepvid) and then edit the frame out with any video editing software package. Seems like a lot of work but best of luck. Cheers. Paul

  • I'm trying

  • Best Video Ever!

  • 0:27 Thallium is not radioactive. Try holding it to a Geiger counter. You'll only get decay from particles in the air, not from the thallium. A better image for thallium would have a skull-and-crossbones instead of a radioactive trefoil.

(I love being an attorney for the elements.)

And Radium said he was sorry for that mass poisoning in the 30's! I think he dropped the labor lawbook in the sink and got it wet or something while dancing.

  • i have this song memorized with n trouble i just had to keep reading the text over and over

  • Man!

    He s a machine!

  • Hey, they forgot lawrencium!

  • @JohnLuckPickard141

No, it was discovered 2 years after this song was made. The song was made in 1959 and Lawrencium, was discovered in 1961. But nice thinking. P.S. I didn't actually know that Lawrencium was discovered in 1961 at all, I googled it. Lol

  • how did he do that

  • The audio caption takes uranium as iranian

    Coincidence?

  • the last element (sodium) was table salt which is sodium chloride

  • our science teacher promised to put us in family fest singing this if we screwed up singing it in class today is Wednesday we have till Monday

    im screwed!!!!!!

  • Haha! I love this animation! Our chem teacher showed it to us, and we laughed really hard! Our teacher said that she'd give an extra percent to the final grade of anyone who could sing this song So, yeah, thanks for the backing version! Although I'm not sure my friend and I will use it. XD! We're gonna learn it and sing it together, and get that extra percent!

  • Good luck - I hope you can learn it. If it is any encouragement, an eleven year old kid performed this at our schools showcase last year perfectly! thanks for the feedback. Paul

  • @VannahWilson

I just finished learning it and I'm twelve, it took a while but I didn't have to work very hard, I suppose if I worked it wouldn't have taken so long, but I wasn't in a hurry. Wanna know how I did it?

  • @DoctorWhoovian Um, not really, actually. XD

  • @VannahWilson

Okay, just thought you might wanna do it the same way.

  • @DoctorWhoovian Thanks, but that semester is long over. XD

  • @VannahWilson

    Okay.

  • it's zirconium not zArconium

  • Ha, but salt is not sodium, it is sodium chloride. Haha, loved the vid though. If you're a teacher, try also "New Math" by Tom Lehrer also.

  • OK, but cut me some slack! I love 'New Math' and have already made an animation (see my other videos!) Thanks for the feedback. Paul

  • i have to perform this song in front of my whole science class. it looks hard but i'll get it :D

  • I'm a primary school teacher, and had an eleven year old perform it perfectly at a recent showcase. Make sure that you download my backing track version (on YouTube) to perform for the science class - best of luck!

  • well im going to do it acapella actually. it messes me up with the lyrics :) its only taken me a few days to learn it and im performing it tomorow moring. im rly nervous

  • It is very good.

  • I quite like this take on the Element song!

  • Thanks - took a while for me to figure out exactly what each element was used for!
