Why does everyone have to be judged on whether or not they're good enough for Broadway? I did high school theater, but I'm a lawyer now. Why can't this just be for fun? Everyone here did a fantastic job.
Not feeling the flip flops, but that's just a costume decision I guess. I think your voice is better suited for a lighter role. This might sound a little offensive, but I don't mean it that way: I think that your voice doesn't sound like a manly (or strong) sounding voice. You sound like a very pretty sounding guy, just not a totally explorer-like sound to your voice. Amneris was good, a little shouty, but definitely better than Her Strongest Suit. Good Job overall.

This is a high school production... the other girl was probably given to solo to give more people oppourtunities to have their moment to shine... There aren't very many roles in this show.
Amneris and Radames, you guys really have great voices! Radames watch the way you form your words when you sing it`s a bit muddled, but you were great nonetheless!
The guy who played radamas is amazing. Do you want to be a performer? Have you auditioned for broadway? You should if you if you want to do it for a career because you are very good. Singing and acting wise. How's your dancing? Take from a person who has been performing all if her life, has been in over 30 musicals and over 9 years of singing training. GO audition for broadway. :-)
I actually thought the guy who played Radames wasn't all that great. He has a good voice, but not yet good enough for broadway. There's no feeling in his voice. We as musicians, should know that feelings is the root and the foundation of what makes a song good, though lyrics do play some part too. He defintely has a ton of things to work on. I, being someone who teaches private voice lessons, piano improv and percussion, don't think that he was bad. But I do believe he has potential.
yeah begining of Everystory was way too fast. the soloist was a little wierd and the girl who played Amneris has a good voice but is screaming in one part and cracks. Note to her: Support more and breath more! other than that you do have a good voice.

Wow, I was there for 2 weeks and didn't notice until NOW that the beginning got split...then again, I never saw the whole show, hah. But it was amazing, what night was this?
haha, good question, but it was a choice made by our directors. we have a lot of female talent in our school, so they chose to give a piece of amneris' opening song to someone else. i personally thought it was a dumb decision, but it was the only song that the directors chose to change.
I don't think it was bad. I was surprised to see it, but it flowed quite well. And the second girl definitely had power, so it worked for that section of the song. Amneris, of course, rocked that belting part. :)
I'm doing a project on her, and i can't get any info about her :'(

i disagree, I don't like Radames's voice. Sorry. It sounds good but then he pronounces things weird which ruins his notes.

I didn't really like the voices that much... Or the staging for that matter... It's probably because my school's version of Aida was much different.

Radames has a nice voice, however play seems too stagey and even the simplest dance moves cannot be syncronized for some reason. Good work though

Amneris is a hard vocal to do they should have given her part to the girl on the side, she seemed to do better. but the other girl is still good.
