Its not done wrong, its a dermal. It has been correctly. It may have taken a little longer then it should have but atleast he made sure he got it deep enough. I have four, two on each side, have had them for over a year & they have also made it through a pregnancy & might I add, I got rather big. It really just depends on the person & how well you take care of them.

If you get a dermal piercing you should have it done with a biopsy punch. it actually removes the a small area of skin so the jewelry goes in a lot easier and the skin heals around it a lot faster. i have 4 dermals and that's how it was done each time. the needle method does work, but if the piercer messes up the slightest bit you might have just wasted your money.

It hurts when they are putting it in because they use a needle and make kind of like an air pocket underneath the skin and then they take a rectangular shaped piece of metal with the colored stud on the end and they grab it with clamps and they have to push on ur skin really really hard for about 15-20 minutes to get the jewelry to pop into the air pocket that they have created. if they use a needle to make the airpocket it is alot less bleeding and it doesn't scar

@xxsarah044 it's a foot with holes in it (for anchoring when healed) that's placed under the skin.. heals around that, then the stud screws into the foot.

I dont see why you wouldnt be able to change the piercing... But man, that'd hurt alot.

And any stud that isnt 100% flat would get ripped out by clothes pretty easy

you don't use a clamp during a microdermal procedure. a lot of piercers, myself included, pierce "freehand", so without a clamp- for the majority of piercings.

you would HAVE to have them removed for the birth because in te event of an emergency cesearian piercings can cause problems with the electrical equiptment.
