  • I installed using the video, thanks! I've re-installed twice trying to figure out issues but I'm stuck. If I have a mag in it dry fires and it seems to fire okay if I have 1 in the magazine(testing with pop caps). But I am getting issues quite a bit of the time where the trigger is forward, but it's like the safety is on when it's not. Any suggestions?

  • @StrifeValeric My first guess would be a reassmbly error. Without seeing what's going on, I can't say for sure. If you're sure you've reassembled correctly, there's a possibility you need to take just a wee bit more off the Rocket, if that's what you've installed. Good luck.

  • @fcamelbourne I have the ultimate so no grinding. Yea I figure it something I did wrong, but I've taken it a part 3 times now and put it back together and it's the same thing. fires perfectly when mag is in and no bullets in the mag(Pop caps, not real bullets). Really weird. It even fires fine sometimes when the pop caps are in. Safety works fine, ejector works fine. Was hoping there was some obvious, hey if this happens, it's probably this specifically. Thanks anyways

  • @StrifeValeric Make sure the trigger bar return spring is in, and/or in properly. Also, make sure the trigger bar-ejector assembly interface isn't jacked up. With the slide off (and gun unloaded, obviously) you should see the trigger bar move up and down when you flip the ejector up and down.

  • this vid guided me through my new gun and showed me how to take down and assemble my weapon and for that I thank you I can not totally strip down my pistol and put it back together now!

  • After i installed mines for some reason the trigger wont reset all the way after firing.. Do you know what i may have did wrong? plus i heard that you might have to file down a part of it?

  • @jholleyjr2 If you bought the Rocket (not the Ultimate) you do have to slowly file down on the TCT as my videos and the Ghost instructions indicate. I used a Dremel, but a stone or file can work. Whatever you do, go slow and take a little at a time. It will entail constantly installing and removing the part until the trigger functions properly, but the effort is worth it.

    Good luck.

  • @fcamelbourne Im sorry I dont know what the TCT is , I dont want to file down the wrong thing in the wrong place?

  • @jholleyjr2 TCT = Trigger Control Tab. Easier to see from the clips, the directions, or the instruction photos on the Ghost Inc site.

  • @fcamelbourne ok well i have the ultimate, not the rocket. I just realized that. So there is nothing i need to file down?

  • @jholleyjr2 Nope, the Ultimate is a drop-in part. If the trigger isn't resetting, make sure you installed it correctly, in particular, the spring that sits in the fire control housing beneath the trigger bar reset, which I think is the trigger bar lift spring.

  • @fcamelbourne ok i checked out the website and it said the problem may be that its bent in too far, ill keep working on it. thanks for the help.

  • How the fuck do I get the safety to work?

  • @OfCourseImNormal If you can formulate a specific and intelligent question, I'd be more than happy to try to help.

  • Awesome tutorial on the trigger of the SR9 Mr Bourne this is the only SR9 Video worth watching. Thanks for posting this SR9 video it really helps understand the working of this impressive pistol. How much of a improvement do you get out of the mod.

  • Now, if we could just loose the thumb safety what a nice CC weapon this would be.

  • Thank you for this video. I was putting my fire control housing pin with the flat side toward the front and my safety wouldn't work. I couldn't figure out why. Your video showed me to put the flat side toward the rear. This solved my problem. Thank you a billion. You made my day. /John

  • @bearing01

Thanks. Glad it helped you out.

  • Some how my trigger bar spring got bent doing this so now waiting for replacement...

  • Great video...helped out so much. I just installed the Ghost Ultimate and it is fantastic.

  • awesome! thanks alot!

  • Just installed this in my SR9. WOW! The difference is amazing! Can't wait to do more than just dry-fire it. :)

  • Good video but it made me sick watching it.

  • @littlemamaathome

    Made you sick?

  • very good thanks!

  • Yep this video helped me install the Ultimate as well with how to do the safety! Thanks bro and Ghost inc ROCKS!!!

  • @LS6WS6 how does the ultimate trigger feel compared to stock? I noticed that it is cheaper than the rocket or tactical and I am curious how it performs. At least with a dry fire if you haven't shot it yet. Thanks!

    Devin

  • @DAB0690 Man it's real light smooth and clean with a crisp break! Truthfully buy it drop it in it's well worth it way better than stock!

  • @LS6WS6 That's good to here. The price difference isn't a huge difference between the ultimate and the rocket or tactical, but I just don't really want to deal with grinding if the ultimate has a great feel to it also. Thanks for the advise, I will be buying one soon. Maybe down the road I'll pick up the tactical and do a review on the differences

  • Thanks Dude. These tutorials have been awesome. I was able to complete this install in 30 minutes after watching a couple times. I just installed the Ghost Ultimate in my Ruger SR9. Can't wait to take it to the range.

  • @JDarrow999 Thanks a lot. Breaking down the SR9 like that can be intimidating at first, but if you know where you need to be particularly careful to keep parts from flying across the house, it gets to be pretty easy. Good look with your Ghost part.
