Down to Earth real people. She's a treasure. I love how you asked her what her FIRST name was and she answered, "Nancy Linda Jones." So what's her last name?... :-)
I know! Moosie, I usually just use first names, but I didn't want to cut out what she said. She really does deserve to be recognized. I thought it was funny the way she fussed with me a little bit when I misunderstood about the tickets. "No honey! I wouldn't do you like that." Every time I see that it cracks me up. :)
Just a wonderful video Betty, I love the tapping boots at the start. It take all kinds to make this world go round, Nancy Linda Jones seems to be one of the good ones like you Betty.
Thanks Jason. I have a great deal of admiration for Nancy, and I would love to get to know her better. I wish there were more people like her in this world.
Andy, thanks for watching. I wanted people to meet Nancy. People like her are the backbone of volunteer fire departments, and I think Nancy will be very much missed by hers when she leaves. :)
Hi Dee! I'm glad you enjoyed it. I thought Nancy was a very intersting person, and I'm glad that she was so agreeable about being filmed. Thanks for watching! :)
Hi ZT! Yeah, Amanda and I went into town for something else entirely, but stopped when we saw Nancy. I was just going to buy a raffle ticket to support their fire department, but she let us film her and that made my day! :)
This was great Betty, Nancy is a treasure. I love it when I get the chance to chat with an old timer, they allways have a perspective that I handnt considered.
Hey Daryl! Nancy is absolutely a treasure. I hated to leave her, to tell you the truth. I would love to have had the time to sit down and visit with her more. :)
Wow. I been a Foxfire fan since 88'. Last week I recomended it to Ravenofpoe as a great collection of Ol'time stories! Glad to see others know about it! Aloha!!
You too Rick? I've met a number of people in Virginia and West Virginia over the years who have reminded me of those books. They're down-to-earth, and I love them. :)
This was great, I really enjoyed it! Your videos are always put together so well. Have a great day Betty!

She is Jane. Honestly, I'm tired and I don't think I'll be doing many more YT videos, so I'm glad I was able to get this. :)

She'd probably get a good laugh out of it. To be honest, when I parked and got out of my van, I was thinking the same thing. ;-)

Yes it does Rob. Nancy is a good role model. She said this was her last year, and I think she will be sorely missed by her department. :)
