  • Good on ya LJ +1 for humanity (a few million more of these kind of actions a day and the world might be a good place to live again) But I have to say, a pillion ride in that weather with no cold gear?! 80% good deed, 20% evil weather torture :)

  • You seriously deserve the title the helpful hooligan. :)

  • LJ your awesome! To the station and back?!?! With the economy being the way it is, people aren't looking out for each other anymore. Score one for humanity and I'm sure he was real grateful even if he didn't vocalize it. You Rock!

  • btw... did he say thanks??

  • 9:05 did he have to put the gas can down to pull up his pants? lol! i give it to you LJ, i would've helped the guy but you're braver than me to give a stranger a lift! lovely video, bet he was scared on back! hehe! hope he tells this story to his family of the nice biker chick that give him a ride when he run out of gas!

  • Your a real kind person LJ, when I got my 2nd bike, the built in gas meter was off and I ran out of gas, not one person came by to help. I had to wait 1hr for my friend to come by and give me a gal of gas..

  • LJ, YOU ARE THE REAL DEAL!!!!!!!!!

  • I just want to say

Big thumbs up LJ that was real nice to see, and nice to know there's still good folks around who will help someone in need. Bless ya girl ;-)

  • I wouldnt of given a stranger a ride 2 up. a car, thats different but not on my bike. i would of either got him a can of gas or got someone else who could help. i wouldnt trust him not to make me drop my bike lol

  • I woulda helped him outa the road then pointed him in the direction of a gas station. he has legs haha

  • Good to see this! Thanks LJ! ;)

  • Bless you babe it is called Karma you will get yours back , people could learn something from this .

  • Man, youre really a good person, i personally wouldnt have offered to give him a ride, but i would have gotten some gas for him.

  • Kudos. I couldn't help but notice: "You on bro?" I'd get beat up if I said that haha.

  • Good for you, LJ. you don't need me to say take care with strangers. Hey - you drive on high beam all the time? That means people can't look at you as they are being dazzled, I prefer people to look at me when I am on my bike... just my 2c worth.

  • Huh, some kind of hand-bag on your controls? I've never seen anything like that.

  • LJ, LJ...that was very nice of you. Unfortunately, It would not be something I would consider around my neck of the woods. I may have offered to go get the gas, but I would have never offered a ride to someone. Liability and sue happy are the first things to come to mind. Secondly, It probably would not be to safe to pick up strangers around here. You cannot tell good from thug around here. All-In-All you rock, but be careful chick.

  • im not racist but all i was thinking through this vid was the "Nigga stole my bike" song

  • People helping people, good deed....just becareful.

  • You are alright, LJ. :)

  • Rock on... daily. Love it!

  • Helping people. .. Good times!

  • she said dont grab my boobs!!

  • you inspire me. She trusted this stranger

  • Lj you have to be more careful. You can not trust everyone' PERIOD!!

  • he said .." who is that goofy chick in the bike with a mohawk" lolz

  • I love this video LJ, you are a good person. Inspired me to help the next person I see in trouble. Respect girl...!

  • I'VE BEEN WATCHING YOUR VIDEOS FROM THE TIME YOU SURPRISED YOUR MOM WITH THE GREEN NINJA. THEY ALL ARE INTERESTING, BUT WHAT I ENJOY THE MOST IS HOW YOU CONSISTENTLY KEEP IT REAL, NO MATTER WHAT. YOUR INTEGRITY IS IMPECCABLE, YOUR WAYS ARE TO BE ADMIRED. YOUR VIDEOS ARE MORE ABOUT LIFE; FROM THE SEAT OF A MOTORCYCLE.

  • Christ! That was a church van?!

  • @SCRC401 Yup. See video description.

  • @lauriejennifer Good Lord God Almighty! heheh ...

  • @lauriejennifer pretty common trick to get robbed... You're lucky He's not wearing any clothing from a dealer, driving a vehicle with a dealer sticker in the windshield.... possibly stolen.... You are stupid.... If you got into an accident, he could sue your ass!

You nub! Think twice before you be so nice!

  • @ICBR2 "You are stupid... You nub..." Way to flatter a lady. ;-)

You presume upon my ignorance. Living, working, and volunteering in "those parts of town" means you know the "tricks." You also learn to make quick judgments about the difference, and know that MOST people are just regular folks.

  • @lauriejennifer oooooooK then... I certainly wouldnt have any info about "regular" people... Your right, I'm sorry, carry on, you know everything ;)...

  • Humm.. I seem to recall helping 4 people load their bikes into the back of my truck for transport so far... all for free. I'm not sure I would give a random stranger a ride on my bike (afraid they'd cause an accident) but I surely would have retrieved him a gas can with some gas in it. Worst case he couldn't have paid me back and I'd be out $10... oh well. Life's too short not to help our your neighbors.

  • @dodgerider26 I was broke, so I offered what I could. I still owe you a beer, but you insist on making your own. :-/

  • Looks like a 94... that's a sweet ride. It'll get you laid in the right parts of town ;-)

  • @dodgerider26 In the right parts of town, anything could get you laid.

  • you are to kind, thumbs up!

  • @Ronfilmfan Thank you!

  • Nice.

  • @daedalx It was a cool moment. Glad I happened to have the helmet cam going this time.

  • Nice LJ. Was that your first passenger? i cant remember. Well love the video keep them comen.

  • @dorseyeliana I've taken passengers before, but not on camera. I've only become comfortable with this in the last 6 months or so. I would NOT recommend it for a newer rider.

  • Its funny how he kinda dismissed your rules for riding as a passenger. That ALLLways happens to me. They don't realize how much they can affect the load.

  • @bjretas Yeah, it happens. Some listen better than others. Considering this was his first time EVER on a motorcycle, he didn't do bad at all. He only tried to move that one time. He kept his feet on the pegs and stayed still the rest of the time. He also didn't get on or off until I gave the all clear.

  • just wonderin... why pop the hood if all he needed was gas?? lol

  • @MrArsity Had to add gas to the carb. He ran the whole thing completely bone dry. Had to fill the float bowl.

  • @lauriejennifer oh ok. well that was nice of you. i wouldnt have given him a ride on my bike. BUT, i would have offered to go to the gas station and get what he needed if he'd trust me with his money. LOL

  • Your good deed for the day... Most people would have just left him there.

  • @bakker46 I think more people actually want to do the right thing, but fear holds them back.

  • its nice you want to help people, but in KC and in "that" part of town is how a nice little white girls get dead!

  • @quallze ...Are you threatening me?

  • @lauriejennifer , in no way is that a threat. I just saying you need to be careful of who you give rides to. I glad nothing happened. Im just overly catious. It comes with my job!

  • You are one nice lady!

  • @NVDawg1 Thanks, mate!

  • You are the poster girl for my favorite Bible verse:

What good is it, my brothers and sisters, if someone claims to have faith but has no deeds? Can such faith save them? Suppose a brother or a sister is without clothes and daily food. If one of you says to them, “Go in peace; keep warm and well fed,” but does nothing about their physical needs, what good is it? In the same way, faith by itself, if it is not accompanied by action, is dead.

    James 2

  • @JimNtexas Yeah, I was thinking about that, and the Good Samaritan. All the religious types were too busy being religious to bother helping a guy out.

  • Glad to see you were able to help that guy. Do be careful though. I was always the type to try and help too but as I've gotten older I am a lot more leery of people. Most folks are decent but I can't begin to tell you how many times I helped someone only to either be taken advantage of or flat out ripped off. It's made me cynical in my old age. Doesn't mean I don't still help people but these days I put my own safety first.

  • @RC62 Those are still the rare exception. And getting ripped off is on them. When I give something, I really give it. What they do with it is on their conscience. I let it go. Or I try to. *shakes fist*

  • I don't know about this. First you stop to help the guy out. Point in you favour. Then you give they guys frost bite, Minus a point. In my mind your still at zero on the pay it forward scale. LOL

seriously good for you for helping out.

  • @WildBill1006 Haha! I did totally feel bad. I even tried to go slow, as slow as I felt I safely could.

  • The world needs more people like you!! :)

  • @13herecomesthesun I don't know if the world could handle another LJ...

  • thats a good deed for sure more people need to do it also help a stranded motorist way to go lj

  • @kd4ysi I'm grateful for all the people who have helped me when I've been there!

  • This sort of thing would be great to do but i suspect the cops here wouldnt care who what where or why your passenger wasnt wearing a helmet you'd get points on your license and a fine which puts your insurance up if you get caught.. :-/

  • @Motorius67 I thought about that, too. I would be more concerned for him than for me, though. Cops are infamous for profiling. Poor guy could gotten a ticket for expired tags or who knows what. They would have probably wanted to search his car, etc., just because he's black and from "that" part of town. I see it alll the time. Racism sucks.

  • Awesome LJ. More people should follow this example.

  • @dafobra I think they do! They just do it in secret.

  • YOU ARE TOOO GOOD LJ!

You make me blush even thinking about this type of a situation...

I think that mother Theresa would give You a hug right there on the corner.

And I´m not even being ironic about it...

  • @Snowhite808 Aw, thanks, mate. It was the least I could do. That would suck-- running out of gas and just getting honked at.

  • Every visit to America every year, I notice religious people are getting more and more arrogant and demanding, like they have privilege or something. Drives me nuts. Good on you, though.

  • @MikeOfKorea I'm noticing it, too. It's not true of all religious folks, though-- just the vocal ones. :-/

  • lol chased a girl down not too long ago on my bike to return her atm card she dropped ;P

  • @DarkShogun16 That's awesome! *high five*

  • That was really kind :)

  • @KINGCALLO It was the right thing to do. I honestly wish I had done more, but I was broke.

  • Downright awesome. Its sad that fewer people don't feel the inclination to do the same :( heres to hope.

  • @todkapuz I still think it's less rare than people think. Every time I've been stranded, I've always had multiple offers for help. One time, two strangers took time out to help me push my bike off the road, then went and got their trailer, came back, and gave me a free tow home. They wouldn't accept any money and told me, "Now you know there are still good people in the world. Just pay it forward."

Media hype is all about Bad News, and this skews our view.

  • You my friend are one top human being. And that van is just amazing, they could have changed into one of the other lanes but I guess being a jerk was a better option.

  • @ifuckedbonjovi Thanks, mate! Yeah, that van was class, alright. On an early Sunday afternoon, too. And they were a church van, designed to carry multiple passengers. Surely they could have much more easily given him a ride to the gas station... Oh, well. It was the annoyed "MOVE MORON" honk that really got me.

It's best not to dwell on the bad apples, though. We get enough of that on TV.

  • Lj you are an angel! Helping that nice gentleman out! Girls like you a pretty rare these days! Ride safe!

  • @Kriezstoff Thanks, mate! We're not as rare as you think! The media just makes more money by reporting Bad News.

  • @lauriejennifer I know the media is all about bad news. But here in Holland most people would let you stay there! And even give you the international sign for hello!

  • I am not a fan of bikers who use full beam during the day. It is just as annoying as cars with full beam. If you want to stand out, fit other lights.

  • @CranberryJam Of all the things to notice in this video, I must say that was the least expected.

I depends on the bike, just as it depends on the car. I never did this with my Ninja 250, because the brights were INSANE. Heck, even the lo-beams got me flashed all the time by oncoming cars who thought my brights were on. The KLX? Not so much. As with most dual sports/motards, the lights suck. The "hi beams" are like regular lights. They're also not much help at night. I never get flashed.

  • *HONK*

GET OUT MY WAY, BROKEN-DOWN IDIOT!!!!!!!

    *rolls his eyes*

  • @nastyevilninja I know, right? A couple of my friends have gotten tickets from cops for "blocking traffic," too. And a cop has the power to actually help them! Lamesauce. Some serve and protect like they should (a cop majorly saved me a couple times when I've broken down), but some are just Lone Rangers with a chip on their shoulder.

  • ARE YOU STILL IN CHICAGO?

WHAT KIND OF HAND WARMERS ARE ON YOUR GRIPS?

WHAT WAS THE TEMPERATURE DURING THIS VIDEO?

  • @FZ6R09 Nope, I'm in KC. These are handlebar mitts made by Quad Boss. They're technically supposed to be for an ATV, but they work. "Hippo Hands" is one of the more popular companies that makes them for motorcycles. It was about 35F during this video.

  • Just beautiful!

  • @criticsview I agree! I like seeing people be neighborly to each other.

  • Helping a Kapik

  • @Hyeclasscomps I'm hoping that's not a racist term. If it is a racist term, that explains my ignorance of it.

  • Only a solid 12 minutes of your time to help out a stranger. More people should do this every day.

  • @thiskory99 Well, in the full uncut version it was more like 25 minutes, but yeah. The point is still the same. Not much time.

  • Aw, LJ, you really are a super awesome Power Ranger~!

  • @MsRandomness Super[moto]hero! *strikes a pose*

  • Your awesome! You have lots of respect from me!

  • @epsilon6 Thanks, mate! A lot of people would have done the same.

  • I noticed he had the hood up as you were leaving. Did the car not start even after the gas?

  • @Staticharge It was so dry, he was going to have to add gas to the carb. The other gentleman offered to help him with that, as I explained my friends were waiting. I did end up missing the Parkour jam. Oh, well. Totally worth it. What if I was in this guy's place?

  • Did he even say, 'Thank you.'?

  • @iKnollex Yes! Repeatedly. I think he was a bit embarrassed himself. It's humbling to ask for and accept help. He had a big thank you before I left, but I accidentally cut that part out.

  • @lauriejennifer Right on. I know it seems self-centered to want somebody to say a simple thank you, but it just feels worse when they don't.

  • XD iv saved 2 people on bikes now both times i ride to a petrol station filled up a plastic leter bottle and ride it back because im not aloud to take passengers and are you loud to not wear a helmet wer you live?

  • @Tsuk94 That's sweet! And, yeah, there's a helmet law. I decided in this moment that doing the right thing and doing the legal thing weren't the same thing, and I decided to side with human decency, rather than The Law.

  • Your are good.

  • @cashstore1 Yes, but very inconsistently.

  • I have to say LJ, that was a mighty-fine thing you did there, especially in this day and age... I think a majority of people are frightened of being fobbed off by the minority if they lend a hand.

The first bank checks were just squares of paper with a number on and the bank's name; now days people would be forging them for thousands and ripping people off left, right and centre. But back then, no one would have dreamed about it. Matter of respect.

World need a little bit o'love.

  • @CultureShockSix People are frightened, I think, mostly due to the media's fear mongering to sell air time. It's this whole "Stay indoors! Everything causes cancer! Don't talk to strangers!" We let fear rule our lives and our choices. Most people who are so afraid of The World spend much of their time indoors listening to what the TV says about Out There.

  • @lauriejennifer Trufax. Trufax indeed. Makes for a more easily manipulated population... ^^;

Even so... A random act of kindness is something to be admired.

    Is Karma. ;D

  • Good job LJ it's nice to help others.

  • @azwakko It really is. It's its own reward.

  • You're an awesome person for taking the time to do that for a stranger but I'm afraid one day someone may take advantage of your kindness and hurt you. Please be careful.

  • @kryten Thanks for the concern, mate! What you can't see in the video is that I'm openly carrying. And I don't always stop. And sometimes I do and then back out. A woman's intuition is powerful. This guy was harmless. I think, too, we tend to distrust each other too much. Sometimes assuming the best in someone brings that out in them.

  • :) if we all did something like this for each other, the world would be a much better place.

  • @sircaliban Unfortunately, I know I do enough rude/mean/cruel things to easily balance out any good I might do. How many videos are there of me "saluting" another driver?

  • Was that Alvin Brooks walking past you at the end of this video?

  • @1954shadow I had to Google who that is. I doubt it, unless he lives in an apartment complex downtown Kansas City?

  • You have a good soul LJ. Pleasure to be a subscriber 8-)

  • @BrianWest58 Aw, thanks, mate!

  • That's got to be really awkward.

  • @thecrazyjewishkid Haha, yeah! It was. We were drawing a lot of stares.

  • dang 303 for gas ours around here is 340 not to mention i drive a mini cooper s and it runs on premium so im looking around 390 for a gallon WHAT A STEAL! :)

  • @flyboy0920 KC area has always had great gas prices. I also run premium, but I don't share your pain. Even completely topping off is only 3 gallons. I never even check what the price is. :-/ Mini Coopers are sweet, though! Just think of it as your "fun tax!" :-)

  • @lauriejennifer haha man if i break down i hope your in the area, your a great person for helping all the people and doing good things you do

  • HIPPO-HANDS!!!!

  • @nggdsb Not by brand name, but yes! Same idea. Allows me to wear summer gloves even though it's only 35F outside. :)

  • 2up on a supermoto :) excellent

  • @mrchoppaboy It was his first time on a motorcycle. A supermoto seemed a worthy introduction. :)

  • Why did I feel nervous watching this? lol. Good on you LJ.

  • @rynoride I was openly carrying and wearing moto armor. I wasn't nervous. :)

  • @rynoride Also, we're all so afraid of each other. I think that contributes to a lot of the problems around here. :-(

  • Christians can be dicks too!

  • @hypnolobster Can't we all!
