I think zombie attack would probably be the easiest major threat to destroy. The only advantage that zombies have is that they multiply with infecting people. As long as quality firearms and supplies are maintained along with sound military decisionmaking, zombies wouldn't have much chance.

Dude. search youtube for the REAL survivors. I do appaude you for having an awarness. Start training for living in the outdoors with no heat ot A/C for one. Spend just one night at a time and work your way up.  Walk from your house to the grocery store and back in the middle of summer. If yo can't make it physically, no preparation is going to help.

My plan is to be ready by being prepared for whatever may happen, but I recognize there is no way to prepare or plan for the actual thing should it happen (whatever "it" is of course). My plans have included learning valuable WROL skills, keeping a stock of various items on hand, and knowing how to make use of the land in all kinds of weather. My planning has allowed me to be prepared, but I suppose nobody can be truly ready in all ways.

No one plans to get into an accident, yet they are preparing for one (on this we agree.) But how are they preparing? Tools like electricity and the sewer system and GPS are meant to be used. For me to not use them if they are available to me would be wasteful and foolish. (Well, unless I've made an ethical choice to not use them, which I haven't) But to expect ANY tool...the power grid, GPS, a particular hammer...to always be avalable is just as foolish. So just as I have a backup plan in case I've misplaced that hammer, I also have a backup plan in case I lose any of the other tools, like the power grid

I disagree. It is certain that an shtf situation will happen so i use this knowledge as motivation to appreciate more wich improves my life wich, in turn, makes me altogether happier. If I thought there was a possibility this wouldnt happen then i wouldnt have 5 sources of income wich was almost soley motivated by the knowledge of the inevitable events that are going to happen. It should make you happy that you are among the few people that know the truth and have a better chance because of it.

I turned prepping into a hobby. I love my BOB, I keep all import papers etc... in the bag. I stock my shelves the way Grandma did. I am only prepping for natural disaster or economic hiccup . If a meteor like "Elinin" is coming then I am going to light a joint and sit in the hot tub. you can only do your best at being prepared for an emergency, but end of world event I don't want to try to survive.

Oh there WILL be a currency collapse at some point. And I'm not saying don't have a plan for your money or your life, I'm saying don't PLAN for the world to end. There will be a currency crisis, so prepare accordingly, but we don't know what exactly will happen as a result, so prepare for the bad things that are possible, but don't structure your life so that you are ONLY ready for worst case. Proper prepping will make your life better NO MATTER WHAT.

well they officially call them 'collisions' now for the most part, but whatever.

to start prepping, I suggest focusing on ways to get/have the things you need without being dependent of the network of systems we rely on on a daily basis. that means having other ways to have food without going to the grocery store (stocking up, gardens, etc). Other ways to get water than the faucet (storage, wells, etc). not living paycheck to paycheck, etc.

Every "accident I see where 2 or more cars are involved are usually NOT an accident, its because some stupid moron was texting, sleeping or not paying attention at the wheel!
