@budgielova They give them colors because they're all the same. It's so they can tell them apart so they can keep proper weight and monitor them without having to grab them every time. The yarn is taken off and replaced with a larger piece as the puppies grow, Some breeders use paper collars so they can write their birth weight right on it. Hope that helps. :)

@ericpaulnorman Occasionally they really do. Especially in a small dog like the Maltese. sometimes the puppies are two wide for them to fit through, making it impossible for her to push 'em out. This can kill her and the puppy or puppies that are still waiting to be born.

@supermanu40 the little one was in destress. I think dat the birth took a long time and he got a bit stuk in the birthcanal. You can also see on the video that he was born with his behind first, while the other were born head first. They really were lucky that the pup was born alive. The green spot you see on the dog is his first poo that the first thing puppy's do when they are in need. Even when they aren't born yet.
