sup.. i see u know a lot about maschine i just got it a week ago and im getting crackles.. went to the support sit and i cant figa it out..i will appreciate it if you can help me wit that if you can!
isnt easier just to sequence and everything str8 in pro tools or whatever else you use. thats what i do, i just drag and drop my sounds into pro tools, and sequence the drums in PT, then i use virtual instruments to lay down the other stuff.
at the first look maschine looks cool.. this This lights, pads in mpc style..etc.
but somthing is wrong ..it's sounds wack!
Fl studio sounds bettetr...I think that nothin'g can replace a good hardware sampler!!! maby idea was good, but it faild! Besides it's fucking expensive...
Producer must work harder and design somthing a lot better. You can instal FL Studio and conect MIDI pad controller like MPC 16 or MPC 18 and it will the same.
@mrr30 sounds wack? yes cause the user...it doesnt matter the amount of sounds loops hard software/hardware you have if you have no music skills.
on the other hand maschine is great. the stock sounds are superb.
maybe theyll fit what you want to do maybe they wont...
but thats why it lets you sample and use your own sounds too...and honestly speaking maschines stock sounds are way better than any FL studio sounds i would know i own FL and Maschine is a great addition to any setup
I think you are being harsh. Understand this happens at a really noisy trade show where you can hardly hear yourself think. The guy did a good job considering.
is so much choice these days and so many good companies producing good products, so do your research and shop around before getting into NI trap!!! They will not refund you money ether (even if it never works!)
If you can't get it working - the local dealer you purchased it from should work on your behalf or refund your money if it's in a reasonable period of time.
3) you will be waiting forever for someone to respond 4) when you get your response don't expect solutions there, it will be some primitive response not offering you anything useful. A few months and hundres of e-mails later, you may get 1 useful tip and that will be from yourself with deep regret that you ever bothered ordering one of Native Instuments products.
Native Instruments may have put a lot of pretty pics and sales gimmics, but try installing their products and you will soon discover what nightmare this is. From installation to activation it is a never ending nightmare. And the worst thing is their support. If you ever need to contact them, be prepared to wait for ages because they 1) don't ever answer the phone 2) will tell you via voicemail to go to fill massive online form
check out the video on NI's site. But the simple answer is yes. You can sample and edit in MASCHINE. I have other sample editors where I would most likely build out my kit in a separate app on my PC then move it to the MASCHINE afterwards. But you can sample on the fly and start sequencing with MASCHINE if that's your workstyle.
im so want this macshine i love making beats using hands on control but im also thinking should i get the mv 8800 i want to make dance music.but i bet in 2010 roland will release a new groovebox. any help
The MV-8800 just dropped in price big time. It either means Roland is going to discontinue it...or they have something new planned. Nonetheless, MASCHINE can do everything the MV8800 or any generation MPC can do. The benefit of playing live or directly into your DAW without any audio cables is really a no-brainer. If you use traditional analog gear...get the MV. You'll have a lot of stuff to lug around but it's nice. If you have a laptop...get the MASCHINE. You won't regret.
Lifeless beat considering the potential of this wikid Maschine.I will get one when available.Using a KorgpadKontrol and Battery now. This things going to crush Akai
oh yeah??? I hope you don't mean the MPD16 or a similar pad-controller, cause this is right here is something really NEW and INNOVATIVE... Akai should have done something like that after releasing the MPC 1000....Somebody had to do this :-) Thanks N.I. !!!
The Maschine is based on the idea of the MPC - the first MPC came out in 1988 and it was built on the idea of the TR-808 from the early 80's. Just stating the lineage. No disrespect....they all have their place....but the Maschine is really amazing.
Hey I understand what you're saying, but by naming it a 808 style drum machine most of us will think 808 style TR-step recording (16 buttons in a row to press and not 16 pads in MPC-style - you know what I mean :) ).
I'm also very interested in Maschine, thank you for this demo!

It's not too bad, it's just dry, and the metronome doesn't help it sound any more lively.

Yeah - it was just a basic demo - the guy was not trying to do a performance! I think he was trying to keep it simple.

you have also a step sequuenzer...

Yes - you can change it from MPC mode to a step sequencer - he just doesn't show it in the video. It's very cool - and has a good feel.
