Syria considers you a citizen for life if you were born there. His home has been Canada since he was a teenager. He's as fully Canadian as thousands of Canadians from other countries are. the one thing that I noticed straight away when I went to america was the lack of news in the papers...I would say our news papers are more comprehensive but far from 'reporting it all'...and we have to support you if we dont we get no protection in return (we arent allowed to arm ourselver remember America wont allow it)
