@supereldinho Cockroaches lay eggs in peoples ears, this is quite common. I've met 2 people who have had this happen to them. it happens quite often in Thailand. The cockroaches are born in your ear and feed on the wax and skin etc (as they eat anything biological) but they are usually trapped and unable to get out so they cause all kinds of problems.

I've never heard of Earwigs doing this but I wouldn't want one of those creepy things anywhere near my ear!

Actually, despite the claims that it is a myth that earwigs don't go in peoples' ears, one climbed in my ear one night. My wife thought I was having a nightmare but I assured her that I wasn't. It felt like a bulldozer was in my ear. I went to the bathroom and turned my head sideways and had my wife pour peroxide in my ear. The earwig squirmed but my wife couldn't see. All of a sudden, she said, Oh my God! and she pulled out a big earwig with tweezers that was deep in my ear.

Many gardeners know that earwigs like to climb in tubes, etc. An old trick is to put out short sections of pipe. You then dump the earwigs out of them in the morning into a bucket of kerosene. Anyway, earwigs most definitely may climb in someone's ear. I know from first-hand experience.
