  • this is my new theme song.

  • Man this song really moves, never heard it before, but have to say the more I hear of Eddie Cochran I really like. Thanks for posting, that cat could really rip it up.

  • happy birthday Dad ! xx

  • keep it coming, only wish I could get them acetate peggers off her dad, he dont know what a sore buck means to me x

  • The great Eddie Cochran!

  • one of his best songs ever!!!long live rockabilly .

eddie was the true spirit of rockabilly

  • Thanks for this piece of nostalgia. "Peg fourteens" never really caught on in the UK back then. We preferred the narrower "drainpipes" that tapered all the way down. I once managed to wear a pair with 11" bottoms - but I had to unscrew my feet to get them on!

  • new one to me great song

  • MAn The pants r crazy they're pink rayon ascetate. Where the fuck are these lyrics from ? Where's Guybo - lol

    Mikey xx

  • I think the song came out in 1957? It was my favourite song that year!

  • I had some made back in '83.Not sure why everyone used to stare at me lol. 28" waist-wouldn't fkin get in 'em these days!

    Great song.

  • I often find myself asking the question: "How can I go catting without them crazy pink peg slacks?" The answer is of course, I can't. Eddie Cochran is a legend.

  • my favourite eddie song

  • i agree this is a great song!

  • eddie could really write rockabillyand play it too johnny suede

  • I love the energy EDDIE brings to song.

    Jim.

  • haha I want some too

  • me three : )

  • love this song

  • Thank you. It ain't that difficult as I started to like 50's RnRoll and Eddie as a kid in mid 70's. So I have had some time to gather info from here and there. If you haven't, then do yourself a favor and buy the book "Three Steps To Heaven" by Eddies nephew Bobby Cochran & Susan Van Hecke. Lotsa info there and a good read (of course). Check Amazon. About "I Almost Lost My Mind" I don't have it on CD only vinyl. But I think this song should be easier to obtain compared to the ones you posted.

  • Thanks for the book recomandation, I haven't been into 50s music for that long (just a few months), I still have a lot to learn! I found a CD with I almost lost my mind on it, I'm going to buy it :)

  • Damn! Wrong, 21th birthday as it was Oct 1959. The man at left in first pic is Denny Thomson, road manager, also hangin over the pno. He look like a wise guy. Hmmm. These photos was from Oct 3/4. Another pic from same place show Janet Redfern giving Ed the keys of Chadron. He also got a trophy naming him #1 singer voted by listeners of KOBH

  • Yes it was his 21st birthday...you seem to know alot about Eddie, it's impressive!

  • First pick here: That guy w/microphone is Ed's good friend Rook. That guy to left I belive is Ed's road manager. This pic is from Chadron, Nebraska when Eddie turned 20yrs old. Yeah they had a big cake for him.
