A rainbow is by definition the full spectrum, and therefore every conceivable colour is in the rainbow, including every possible shade of pink (notwithstanding brightness and contrast of course). The colours of the rainbow as you think of them are just a simplification by Newton, which children learn as a means of remembering the order of the basic colours. Pink is not one of the basic colours they learn, but it most definitely is in a rainbow.
