  • I remember that Llyods of London isnured his hands for 4 million each; but that was back in the sixties.....

  • I wonder how much his hands were insured for ?

  • @ftjax ... don't know but I always heard Lords of London insured his hands.... and I don't know if that's really correct.

  • He was a brilliant pianist

  • What is the final cadence he plays?

  • Para PinariusNatta, es puro piano, seguro que no sabes nada de nada. Chau.

  • Wow!

  • It's actually real water. Liberace used the Dancing Waters in his show

  • I wonder if that's real water shooting up or a video.

  • what year was this?

  • No one since ..... and no one will ever top this wonderful showman ...... you are missed ...

  • No one since and no one ever will ever top this wonderful showman ...... you are missed ....

  • Very good, but most of the sound is coming from an orchestra. Where is it? Under the floor? In the next room?

  • I really can't believe he was gay.

  • espectaculare!!!!!!

  • MR. SHOWMANSHIP!!!! awesome.

  • Vegas use to really have class.

  • Is it just me or does Liberace sound just like Roger from American Dad?

  • Will Glahé from Wuppertal had a No. 1 in 1938 in the USA.

The Marx Brothers played it in their special version of "Casablanca" - - - nice film.

  • originated in the Czech Republic) for those who do not know the map is in Central Europe ... where I am now: D at home ...

  • @VencaCZp It's also sung in Germany (Munich precisely) in the beerhalls, where it's called "Rosamunda".

  • @roseanne74 rosamunde, actually. its one catchy song >.<

  • Well just to please Malcolm & Chris, I did a little further research, and found that indeed it DOES get better..... (Glory to God .... ;-) )

  • one of Milwaukee's best!

  • Say what you will about Liberace......when you went to see him, you sure got your moneys worth.

  • Thank you Lee for the joy you brought to millions. God bless you.

  • Does any1 feel he talks a little wierd??

  • @MXZEem He had a speech problem as a kid

  • I wish my brother George was here!

  • The way Lee went at that piano, it looks like he might have drinking some Red Bull, if they had some back then! :-)

  • For a German version of this tune, listen to Gitti und Erika and "Rosamunde"

  • I wish my brother George was here :)

  • He was the Greatest Showman of all time and by far the finest pianist in history

  • what ever happened to his boyfriend, Scott?

  • the gayest guy ever

  • Gay or not, he was a badass mofo.

  • One of my favorites, syncho with water is great !!

  • Is amazing, his interpretation way, the stages, his energy, all in his performances are "magnific".

  • This is nice!

  • Liberace was his happiest playing in front of an audience...his family!!! Outside of that, he was a lonely man and rather quiet. God rest your soul Mr. Showmanship!!! One one will ever live up to this!!!!

  • I agree...But he needed a good looking "women" by his side!

He could afford one....being lonely is hell!

  • Of course it is, but there are some disputes that is german song, but in reality its Czech.

  • Yes, yes, this song is from Czech, earlier Czechoslovakia. Songwriter is Jaromír Vejvoda, and that is Czech name (like Jaromír Jágr) ;-)

really don't know about his personality, but he was a great piano player, that's for sure!

  • I have his version for my player piano...fabulous :)

  • liberace was brilliant sadly this is one type of entertainer we will never see again!!!!!

  • Indeed! Liberace and Virgil Fox were two of a kind, there's absolutely nobody else like them! I would have loved to have seen both of them live! A duet concert by Virgil Fox and Liberace... Now that would have been awesome! They're both greatly missed!

  • 1:10.... wow.

I would have actually loved to have seen Liberace live, he's so good for the mood.

  • i love the dancing waters as lee plays! that is fantastic! looneysinger

  • God I wish I of been there!!! Lee rocks!!!

  • the ladies loved that guy....i wonder why he never got married.......

  • well there was a few obvios reasons.

  • Dear Weirdo: That was cute.

  • I don't know, maybe he was a bit too flamboyant for the ladies.

  • The ladies adored him !!!

  • the big arm wave at the end, gotta love it.

  • I met him several times and he was truly a sweet man. He posed for photos and shook many hands and had time for everyone.

  • Great just great liberace sure knew how to be cool look at the piano!

  • Wheres the Band

  • I think behind the fountains

  • man its fun to watch him play so good

  • Fantastic! Saw Liberace many times in person. Not only was he a fabulous entertainer, but a kind and humble person as well. He was also very generous with his time and spent endless hours signing autographs or taking photos with fans. He just loved people!

  • I didn't know him, but I got to see him perform at Musicarnival in Cleveland. I believe there is still a Liberace Foundation that provides scholarships for young people to study music. He really was amazing and probably a far better pianist than people give him credit for.

  • Liberace gave so much pleasure and enjoyment to so many millions of people. My wife and I saw him in Melbourn in 1985. He loved what he was doing - it wasnt work , but just sheer entertainment. He always had a smile and a twinkle inhie eye when he playing - something he enjoyed doing. Yet in his private life I think there was one very lonely man. A great entertainer taken tragiccaly far to soon

  • And we can't forget in the 1950's it was taboo to be gay. Look at all the Movie Stars both gay and lesbian who hid deep in the closet. I saw him in concert 1985 and was magnificent. Remember he didn't choose to be gay he was born that way, as is every gay person. Who would choose that lifestyle?

  • NJ - So, you're saying we're physically born like that, but it's still a free choice ??? Get real and use your common sense.

  • Love it from a Kiolbasa

  • There will never be another showman like liberace, neither will there be a pianist so extravagant as liberace

  • akorát si ji všichni přivlasťňujou a nikdo neví že je od nás...

  • hallo, this is beautifful song made in CZECH REPUBLIC , EUROPE :)

  • A Talented Kid from Milwaukee!

  • Fantabulous! What a hell of a performer! Long live Liberace, and thanks for posting on YOU TUBE!

  • my grandaughter who is 2 loves it and she tries to play it on the piano...too cute ,,i can only wish

  • yeah he was gay no shit but at least he wasnt jared leto at the tony awards gay!!! , and he could play!!! what a fuc&#n showmen whos out there now ???? cris angel???? com on vegas is death row for a musician now

  • I heard he might have been gay.

  • might have been?????

  • I've been studying piano for the last seventeen years of my life, and I can say with complete certainty that Liberacy is the greatest racist pianist I've ever seen.

  • Racist? Huh?

  • What always amazed me about this performer is that he could play the most difficult and fast pieces and still look directly at the audience or camera and smile.

  • he played this when he was a kid?! where does this magic come from?!!

  • Well, it might have played an easier arrangment when he was a kid.

  • he's obviously happiest when playing the piano...his bliss. my only claim to fame is that I can keyboard fast...I have a certificate for 80 w.p.m. and it sounds just like that! just kidding! thanks for posting.

  • this is czech song :)

  • this song gets annoying if you listen to it all the time or back to back

  • Awesome! Brilliant!! No one can match the inimitable, incomparable LIBERACE!!

  • Great music! Long live the memory of Liberace!! I never got to see him perform live in person -- I was supposed to see him in New York City in the summer of 1987, but he died that spring and they cancelled all his concerts. I did see him perform on "The Tonight Show" a couple times, but that was it. These videos are great, and they're a great tribute to the best entertainer that ever was!

  • super performer!this is playing piano!!

  • Every time I watch this, I can't believe anyone can actually play this song as fast as Liberace does. I've played the piano for over 30 years and took Classical piano lessons for 12 years and could never come close to performing the way Liberace did. God Bless this man as he will never be replaced. He loved playing and entertaining and it clearly showed.

  • Una divinità

  • Wunerful Wunderful... just Wunerful...

  • Viva La Liberace! Love ya baby! You are FABULOUS!

  • Oohh THANK YOU!!!! I have looked for this everywhere

  • I love the way Liberace played the Beer Barrel Polka and enjoyed seeing the Dancing Waters. Thanks for posting this.

  • There is one part after he does the exaggerated hands up and down that he seems to REALLY like, its nice to see :)

  • I love this song

  • Hurray!
