i wish he could have gotten with the other wilburys'.i bet they would have made another "kill" LP.he must have been in a lot of pain.i own this LP and i really think this song is a great rocker with great vocals.i wish he was still with us.
What a beautiful song!! I've never heard this one! RIP Del, you are never going to be forgottten. I''m a member of the club who keeps a member of the Heavenly Rock and Roll Band alive.... We will never let go of any of you. :-)
I grew up listening to Del Still wonder what Happen such great talent somtimes you think you have it all and you have nothing i guess we will never know Rock on Del RIP
While I cannot recall any specific mention of Del Shannon in interviews of The Beatles, it's likely they were influenced by him. As most of you know, Shannon recorded a version of "from Me to You" back in 1963! I sure miss Del Shannon.
He would have been a great replacement for Roy Orbison for any future Traveling Wilbury projects with Lynne, Dylan, Petty, and Harrison. Rumor has it that he was given some consideration by them. His inclusion would have made for a better release than what Traveling Wilburys Volume 3 turned out to be. These tracks show he could still rock with the best of them.
@sportboy6 I agree that he would've been a great addition to the Traveling Wilburys. However for what it's worth the guy the Wilburys were actually considering to "replace" Orbison was Elvis. According to George Harrison they had obtained a tape from Presley's estate of an unreleased Elvis song and were going to try to make a Wilburys track out of it but it just didn't work. Jeff Lynne however would later go on to use a similar technique for the new Beatles songs on the Anthologies.
I guess Being Famous isnt all its cracked up to be Huh!! When you get to the Top the fall is Hard Just look at Ricky Nelson for example Depression is Hard on some people we will miss you Del Drop Down and get me is a great Album as is your last one see you around Del and Rock On!!!!!!!!!

He suffered from a disease called "depression". And he was also on anti-depression drugs. I think it was the drugs. What's your opinion?

I think it was the pills that he was on...
But I could be wrong!
