  • What a great car!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ^_^

  • i got to 299mph with a gt but ran out of room :-/

  • gt 311 on my minolta.

    dunno HOW u got 354

  • it's nissan r92cp...

  • @peace94pot no it's a minolta

  • 285 mph on mine cant figure out how to make it faster. i had the gt one which ran 302 mph but nice run

  • anyone know what the best car to use for the first expert series is?

  • damn i got it the speed of 298.5 mph with gear ratios jajajaj i beat all of you¡

  • @pepopepino3 read the title , he did 354.75 mph

  • My Minolta Toyota is just a little bit slower, about 349 mph with traction control turned off, and 350 mph with traction control set at 1.

  • 312 mph on mine. It takes more very fine tuning of the transmission to go faster than I have patience for

  • the images seem to be faster than the sound.

  • mine got up to 355.89 mph.

  • Comment removed

  • well there's the super-soft tires, and I always tweak with the gears, suspension, and downforce, I check each time if they managed to reach a certain speed. so when i tuned the car by buying parts then I start out lowering the suspension to the lowest and before the wheelie trick i get a top speed of 277 mph and then I tweak with the downforce and get 280mph then when I tweak with the gear ratios i managed to get 355.89 mph so just keep on checking the tuning util you get it right.

  • sure there's lots of air resistance!

  • What are the settings? My MINOLTA has identical HP, but I can only get it to around 280.

  • have you tried to set longer transmission?

Heh, biggest speed i have is 400km/h(248.55 mph) with Audi R8. need to get bigger...

  • its me, who you replied to (madzmatz13)

yes, i have tried multiple tranny changes... i can only get her to 288.

I was thinking it MIGHT just be the nitrous...i have only tried the highest setting, whcih rns out in about 5 seconds.

  • i got my minolta up to like 1217 hp and i can get it up to 330 mph but i cant get it any faster! could u tell me how to put the settings??? thx

  • Try changing the downforce settings so that the front is at lowest, and the back is at highest. My minolta can go just under 350 mph with those settings.

  • Can someone please reply and tell me how to unlock the Minolta Toyota 88C-V?

  • You win it as a prize for finishing in first in the El Capitan 200 Mile endurance race.

  • I've gotten that car close to 360... it says 1148 BHP or brake horsepower. learn to differentiate from 8 and B :). its the raw horsepower of the engine without the effects of the rest of the car. btw depending on the version of GT4 you have it will either be bhp or hp

  • look at the front end wheelies

  • that's so fast it'll break your eyes.

  • definitly not a cheat, done it before, right about that speed too.

  • im not in the extreme hall yet and is the minolta fast enough because the acceleration isnt great compared to the bentley speed 8 but i can out run i tried it on seoul central and the other cars were quite close behind

  • It should be quick enough... it eats tyres like nothing else though! There are several other LMP/Group C cars you can win in the Edurance Hall, not to mention the Polyphony F1 car (Nürburgring 24 Hours). Any of those should be easily good enough.

  • is it mph or kmh and i was wondering i have just wonm tht acr and people say it goes to 350mph as you do,but mines only gos to 235mph so is ures a t kilometer per hour(Kmh)or miles per hour (mph)

  • It's in MPH. You're right that it will only do about 235MPH when you first get it, but I've spent a lot of time tuning the suspension, gearing, etc. for absolute maximum speed.

  • how do u tune the suspension and sutff i dont understand it could u send me and email with all of ure stats for gearing suspension etc (like u just sed) thank you (i would like it go to go tht speed for the gt world championship

  • The setup would be rubbish for the GT World Championship. Sure it's fast in a straight line, but it's not exactly quick when it comes to turning corners. You'd perform better keeping the car totally stock.

  • ok so theres no point making it go tht fast/Would it work with any cars in races?

  • On most track/car combinations, having good acceleration and handling is much more important than top speed. The only real exception to this is any races on the Test Track, such as 'Ride Like The Wind' in Extreme Hall, and possibly races on the Twin Ring Motegi Super Speedway (though that's debatable).

  • its almost a sure win with that setup that your using though. all you need to do is just make the down force on the front maxed and you mess around with the shock settings, add some driving assistance and do like a 3 7 with the break controller and its bound to win. this car has mad acceleration compared to most of the other cars. my speed 8 and Toyota gt-one cant even match this thing even though technically i can get my gt-one to go a lot faster

  • I don't have over 11000 HP, Simply you are misreading the B in BHP as an 8. It's easy to do on a small video like this.

  • its called either action replay, or settings transmisson auto 25 and final gear to the max and possibly the best turbo kit.

  • I do not use any cheat devices (such as action replay), nor do I use the wheelie trick for any of my high speed runs. It takes quite a lot more fine tuning than simply bolting on the stage 4 turbo and setting the auto gearing to25 in order to reach speeds like this.

  • oops, thats what i did. bugger

  • if you can go that fast in real life, you'd probably go to another dimension.

  • lets all give it up for steve!! the only friendly decent driver on all of youtube..

    u really helped me out..

  • i beat u 359.2 something like that, but how do u not hit the wall?????

  • hey i will break my secret i did 366mph ill put the vid on soon well all i did was set THE SPIRING RATE AND RIDE HOGHT TO LOWEST 4.0 AND 5.5 RESPECTIVELY TIRES=R5 NOZ=50 GEAR 3.000 AND THE AUTO TO 25 DRIVING AIDS ALL THREE TO 0 DOWN FORCE SET FRONT 38

REAR 88 and thats it TY.

  • The amount of tuning needed is too much to go into detail in the space of a comment (and I don't want to give away all my secrets), but the general starting point is high front/low rear ride height and maximum downforce (though if you can lower frontal downforce without causing the car to wheelie then do so). Set the suspension as soft as possible, and lengthen the gearing so that it's capable of supporting high speeds. Set the NOS to maximum power, you want to use this at the end of the run.

  • eu consegui 362 mph, ou 584 km/h

  • Damn silly. In reality the tires of those cars would explode over 270mph (440km/h). As much as I love GT4 this is a silly part of the game.

  • wut all did u change and wut did u change it to?

  • Almost every single setting on the car is changed. It's too much to go into detail, but you can PM me if you want more information.

  • what race do you win that car?

  • You win it from the El Capitan 200 Miles Endurance. Thats for PAL, Japan and North American versions of the game.

  • eh i saw the front wheels leave the ground. its not quite the wheelie glitch but its close to it. kinda cheating if u ask me

  • The front wheels do not leave the ground at all. I know it looks close, but this is down to how I have set the suspension of the car (particular the ride height). I have checked this run and all my others in the photo mode part of replay theatre with close ups to ensure that I do not wheelie.

  • 354mp/h = 570hm/h

  • Nice.

  • My record is 378km with this car

  • Oh, the sound problem is because YouTube didn't like the codec I used to compress the video, and so it sped up the image playback slightly, but left the sound at normal speed. All my other videos are fine, and eventually I'll replace this one with a 360+ speed for the 88C-V. 500km/h is pretty good omnislasherRX7 though i'm sure you'll be able to improve on that with time.

  • thats really darn FAST !

    i merely got a 500 km/h - same car

  • Yes I know, the sonic boom what i meant was the movie was action first then sound. the car would pass, then a few seconds later, you would hear it pass.

  • Sounds like it's pst the sound barrier although its not.

  • You get a boom-like sound when you break the sound barrier, but as you can't reach near the needed speed without cheats in GT4, theres probably nothing in the game engine to make that boom.

  • Yeah, well, max speed and good handling are always like that, everybody knows it... If you want to get one, you know that the other one is impossible to get at the time... Which means that the max speed can only be reached in the Test Track, of course... lolz

Well, thank you for everything, man... See you next vid! ;-)

  • Sh*t, how did he do that? I didn't know that the CIEN can get that speed... It's all about the settings of the car, right? I never touch those, I don't understand them, only transmission and NOS lol

  • Correct, it's all in the settings. You want to increase driving traction, but reduce overall downforce. You will also need to make the gearing longer. The best way is to experiment, adjust one thing at a time, and testing in between. Eventually you'll work out the way to high speed (and zero handling, heh).

  • Thanks... Well, that's more than 100 mph less, but is still a great speed (400 km/h). That's only 17.11 km/h less than my highest speed (Cadillac CIEN '02)

  • The Cadillac Cien can do 300mph and over without too much difficulty. The fastest speed I know of with it is 313.95mph, by racer I-Runner.

  • Just incredible... Almost 360 mph, those are 600km/h (I'm from Spain). Is the Toyota THAT fast? Can you please do me a favour? With all the upgrades and maximum powers as possible, can you please tell me the highest speed you got WITH DEFAULT SETTINGS in everything? Will you do that for me, please? I would do that, but I just got the game and I ain't got that car...

  • I dont have a spare Toyota 88C-V, so I took my high speed one and reset all the setting changes on it. This effectively gives me a stock car, with all the upgrades. I'm losing a small ammount of horsepower due to the mileage, and I dont have the chassis refresher, so the body is a bit twisted. With R5 tyres and maximum NOS Power, the car reached 239.7mph, and was hitting the rev limiter quite violently.

  • Heh thanks, but as I said above, I've done 360+ since.

  • wow! how did you do that! lol I only reached 299.36. What tuning did you do to accelerate that fast

  • I'm an active 300mph racer (see http://www.gtplanet.net/forum/showthread.php?t=69076 for info).

You can increase your speed a lot by getting the right suspension settings, so try things like a soft spring rate, high front ride height low at the back, maximum downforce (to keep all 4 wheels on the ground). It's also necessary to set the NOS to maximum power and time it's usage so that you run out just before the end.

I've since done 360+ runs, and will update the video when I reach 365mph.

  • I am going to try that! I have alot of cars to do it with. Thanks for the tip!
