seems like a realy nice guy, but his albums with Iron Maiden blow! and something that pisses me off is that hes saying how Iron Maiden fans treated him like a king when every Iron Maiden fan i know hate his voice and the albums he did with them
Bruce is a better singer that Blaze, but Blaze is a much better singer than most other metal vocalists. IMO he's not bad at all, he's not Bruce, but he's not bad
stfu domentortheonlytrue.bought my first maiden album when it was first released.blaze could not lead maiden.applause for trying but he was terrible.when he said that he knew every crash ect.look and listen to a number of the vids with him singing and forgeting the words.i know every word, solo intro to every maiden song,so he was talking shit.same as my voice shit, but at least i know the bloody words.seen maiden 7 times including with paul and were best live band live.he destoyed maiden live.
All the Blaze haters can go to hell. The only disss him just because he is not Bruce. Sure he tried a little too hard in my opinion to be a frontman, but he's cool.
I don't care whatever anyone says. Blaze Bayley's voice on X Factor and Virtual XI are brilliant. They have some of the deepest emotions on them. Just listen to Sign of the Cross or Blood On the Worlds Hands. Epic songs. Even songs on V X1 are just so creative, and Blaze's voice is just stellar. It sucks that people hated him, because he did so much good work for Maiden.
MUCH RESPECT TO BLAZE FOR HAVING HAD THE BALLS TO TAKE THE JOB IN IRON MAIDEN, PROBABLY KNOWING UPFRONT HE COULDN'T HAVE POSSIBLY EVEN EQUAL BRUCE, BE HE TOOK IT, MADE TWO ALBUMS WITH THEM, TRAVELLED THE WORLD WITH THEM....I MEAN, THE GUY IS A HERO, WHAT MORE CAN I SAY! BIG BIG BALLS!
I WILL ALWAYS LOVE BRUCE MORE, COS I GREW UP IN THE '80S WITH MAIDEN, BUT BLAZE WILL ALWAYS BE A PART OF MAIDEN HISTORY, SO HE HAS ALL MY RESPECT, ALWAYS! CHEERS BLAZE, YOU RULE BUDDY! YOU ARE A CURAGEOUS MAN!
Saw them in 96 at this tiny little club 10 minutes from where I live. It was crazy after seeing them at MSG once and The Meadowlands twice then to see them at this little(PACKED) club with ANTHRAX. They lost the crowd pretty quickly though,no one was interested in hearing the new stuff and by the end of the show half the club had emptied. It was very sad. I felt bad for Blaze because he is a good singer.
@Chrisdrumz wow! Thats a real down fall. I remember '96 well, as I was in a metal band at the time, it was a bad time for everybody for metal in Britain, it was the height of Brit pop and Oasis, there was nowhere to play. Unless you were an Indy band no one wanted to know..... Fast forward 15 years: Happy days!!!! : )
This guy is so awesome. He is so under-appreciated for his time with Maiden. I mean he did well to keep them going and I find it really good that he's not dwelling on his time in Maiden. He's moved on and is doing well for himself. Top bloke.
When he's describing Iron Maiden you can see how much of a fan he is of Iron Maiden he is... Blaze is awesome, such a real person, with a true love for his music, highly respectable person.
he got fat ,no offense ,i never liked his voice neither liked his attitude ,i think he was a maiden fan living the dream,he wasnt able to fill the great character shoes of bruce dickinson,i respect the people who loved him, thats my opinion.
@jamesravanal40 its my opinion ,i think he was a guy that wasnt able to do a great job in maiden, maybe he is a great singer but for other style, compared to what other maiden characters are ,blaze doesnt even seem to fit in,i dont know thats my opinion i love everyone on maiden they all have great attitudes, blaze is like something not so maiden
wow he's a much nicer guy than i though he'd be, not sure why, but now I can see how he fit in with the rest of the band. they're all such genuine people
blaze is a great singer, sign of the cross is awesome,....but the album was very tacky, paul d'anno was cool but bruce and bruce only is the sound of maiden to me, altho blaze has sign of the cross without a doubt
Gkhouldis your an embarassment Blaze is Great singer X factor was OUtstanding album and the Eternal Flame is A great live album Blaze is awesome sing Bruce and Pauls songs on that CD
Damn. I'm polish, why I always have to feel embaraseed because of polish interviewers? The X Factor is actually quite good album but almost every Bruce Maiden album is better so...
Did the interviewer listen to any Iron Maiden album? How can he say that X factor is their best album? What if he listen to Powerslave or Piece of mind? ..and I'm even not sure that the fans were so kind with him...I'm sorry, but it's the truth...
i totally agree with you - i was introduced to iron maiden through the x factor and i fell in love with it - then i realized who bruce dickinson was and i still though blaze beyley took iron maiden into a darker level that was so brutal
i think x factor is great, u can't compare it to classic maiden of course, that wins hands down. but this album had a dark feel to it i really like, very different. it takes a few listens at first, but i was in a really dark place in my life and it resonated with me at that time.
i totally agree with you - i was introduced to iron maiden through the x factor and i fell in love with it - then i realized who bruce dickinson was and i still though blaze beyley took iron maiden into a darker level that was so brutal
I love the way he sings both Paul and Bruces songs just matters weather he had alergies or not is what made the difference when he had allergic reactions it caused him problems singing even on his own songs but when he didnt have allergys he sounded awesome on all maiden era songs.
They did The Clansman with Blaze and i love that song so i really respect blaze he's a very good singer maybe not with bruce's song but his songs are fucking great
I think that X Factor is a great albun and this guy is one of the greatest singers of this generation. Unfortunetly he had to replace Bruce and the fans at the time didn't take so well. Maybe one day he will have recogition.
I had some Maiden before X Factor, but at that time in my life, I didn't like high-pitched vocals from Bruce (I loved Alexander the Great, though). I picked up X Factor because the artwork looked cool, and I was impressed. I loved it, and became a huge fan of the band after that. Since Bruce returned, their albums have been getting better and better, and his vocals are better now too. Saw them live too.
By the way, Blaze's latest album is AWESOME. Better than his Maiden days. Check it out.
I think X Factor is Maiden's best album. Blaze also has really good solo material, his recent album Promise and Terror (2010) is better than Final Frontier.

Blaze es un muy buen cantante de metal, el problema es que Bruce es irremplazable lo cual le perjudicó terriblemente en la era Maiden.

All those Maiden fans who cannot stop nagging at him & hate him or whatever, are mostly immature little kids. serious Maiden fans, however, love him!
