  • I remember when you left this World babes, but OMG, your music will NEVER die!

  • YOU WILL ALWAYS BE .....THE MAN!

  • THE KING !!!!!!!

  • beautifull song!!!!!

  • Still a beautiful song!!!

    dc50four, Netherlands

  • Elvis singing this song really hit me hard driving through a rough part of Cleveland during the winter of 1969 on assignment for NBC. Many of the inner cities of the U.S. still remain in the grip of poverty.

  • "If there's one thing that she don't need, it's another hungry little mouth to feed..."

Hey, "mama," what part of the word "contraceptive" do you not understand? Why do these people think sh...tting out a kid is such a major accomplishment in life? A dog or a cat can do that much, does that make them intelligent creatures?

Apparently the most effective form of family planning in the inner city still comes out of the barrel of a White police officer's gun.

  • @MichaelWalter1000 Why are you so angry?

  • thumbs up if u came here becuze u saw southpark

  • >.> I liked Cartman's version better

  • this song was to bring our awareness of the needs of all children all over the world.

  • I have always loved Elvis, there will never be another like him. but in country music Tim Mcgraw has done some of his music and does a great job with it. i would love to see what he can do with this song.

  • me encanta esta cancion de elvis presley la escuchaba mi padre siempre lo recuerdo con esta cancion....papito te amo

  • ::from an Accounting-degreed black male born in the late '60's who NEVER lived anywhere close to a "ghetto", nor struggled for much in life, and had both well-to-do parents around::

I clearly understand that the intention of this song was to bring some form of awareness to one of America's big illnesses... but, it still seems rather racist. Why didn't Elvis sing of the various Jim Crow laws that helped to produce these so-called "ghettos"?

  • @DudeTC811 How is it racist? You do know it's not only black people growing up in the ghetto, right? I grew up in the ghetto, I'm hispanic. My parents grew up even worse. One of my best friends in the same situation was white.

I believe it's racist to think that the "ghetto" is only limited to black people.

  • I just read these posts....

Pussky - he is saying "an angry young man" NOT "an angry Marine!"

  • I love you Elvis. Rest in peace

  • Just before Chrsitmas my art teacher played this song and no one knew it and iI start singing along and everyone stops and just looks at me, and my art teacher looks at me with a surprised look.

"Forever Elvis!! "

  • I'm a first grade teacher in Texas, and this song makes me think of the children that come into my classroom every day. Children of broken homes, alcoholism and neglect. And I fear that this song will become their reality in the near future.

  • It is a really sad song, but so beautiful. His strong voice made it very powerful.

  • This song hurts me,if only Love could fill the world

  • i LOVE ELVIS XX

  • maybe the greatest song of Presley who was really a King !!!!!!!

  • Thank you very much !

  • Mil vezes lindo!!!

  • /watch?v=dn07wxh2pkc I SING OF THE TRUTH CUZ I AM BLACK AND I AM HOOOOOOOOOOOD

  • Elvis is so beautiful and sings this song so amazingly!

  • Never knew there was a video to this song! Black and White, Unusual for 1969.

  • you know its kinda racist to think this songs racist.

  • @TomOtero1984 i'm white and grew up poor probably worse than some

  • @787mysterio thus my point. Poverty is not limited by skin color.

  • love this song so much feeling in his voice when he sings it

  • rip good music

  • he stole this from eric cartman :D

  • A timeless great-song that unfortunately still has a real meaning in the 21st century

  • @MissRubberBunny I would add that it has more meaning in the days we live unfortunately, world is collapsing thanks to capitalism of USA.....China will prove in 10 years(US owns trillions of dollars to China) that communism is the better and more justice government that exists

  • My favorite Elvis song.. And this is the best clip I've found.. This is one of my grandson's favorite songs (Hmmmm.. wonder why?)...

  • @Kimberliss42 Cause he fears to walk that road,He see,s it real clear Ma,m Yes I knew how it wasbut fortune ,Luck,& Fame were on my side,as GOD would have it Good Luck In this new world.ADIOS.

  • @hutzelweibl I agree. Maybe it was chicago once but it's Somali on these days.

  • Elvis lived this. Well some of this, no guns, stealing, or fighting.

He knew how it was to go without and go hungry.

That's why he always bought people off the street houses, cars, paid hospital bills and gave to charities.

  • same here such a good song sad though

  • KING!! ich lieeeeebe dich!!!! R.I.P

  • RIP ELVIS

  • Superb..........

  • this is my favorite elvis song in the ghetto

  • He sings of the truth! Listen and take it to your heart! And this is not only America, Africa too.

  • @hutzelweibl Its the whole world!!! not just the states and africa

  • @hutzelweibl its everywhere

  • @hutzelweibl and mexico too

  • king of rock... what more can i say.......:-)

  • Mac Davis wrote and sang this song first, Elvis just made it more popular. It should be known Mac Davis wrote it. :-)

  • I'm black and i grew up hungry in the ghetto and had to go in to foster care but now i'm 17 and angry but instead of commiting crimes by stealing and killing i enlisted in the Marine Corps.

  • @sgtschmitty8013 Sorry to hear you went hungry, but glad to see you took a positive approach to a new life. God Bless.

  • @m7j23s53 Thanks man.

  • @sgtschmitty8013

    BOOOOO BOOOO IM BLACK BAWWWWWWW

i am black too and it disgust me how black people always use the victim role

its been over a 100 years!

  • @MPOEO right on! No one but our own damn selves holding us back these days. What are we going to say, several thousand years ago your ancestor clubed my ancestor over the head and stole our fire from the cave and many of my people died so you owe me?Oprah and Diddy did not sit around waiting for things to be handed to them. The world is yours if you just come get it.

  • @SatanBrain13

i was lying over that black part but you get me right?

Thanks too comment on me man!

  • @sgtschmitty8013 Good for you and your family Sarge. This is the right way..but its not always the way. No one should ever have to grow up being hungry, afraid, and cold. Best Wishes. ..and thank you for protecting those whom can't.

  • @dmichaelsandphantom Thanks alot man.

  • I'm white, spent many a day angry and hungry in the ghetto. Spent my teenage years locked up in boys homes. Some of us are lucky enough to realize there's a different path available to us before it's too late. Rock on and best of luck to you.

  • @SatanBrain13 Thanks a lot but do you really think Satanism and face piercing was the best path for you? Just saying.

  • @sgtschmitty8013 Hahahaha, I do not actually worship Satan, given that nickname for the habit of thinking evil. But yeah, I don't recommend it for all, but in my case it's worked. Been self employed the last 20 years and I've enjoyed freedom and many great things most will only ever dream of. Hats off to you for protecting that freedom. Come home safe.

  • @SatanBrain13 THanks alot man and hats off to you too.

  • @sgtschmitty8013 don't be angry. that will help nothing. tell people. i listened so they will too. I don't mean to be sappy or any thing but noone should be angry with the people trapped in this sick and dying world of ourselves we live in.

  • @sgtschmitty8013 I love it! Bang out those first 3, 6, 9 months and you've got a GREAT future my friend. It doesn't matter where you came from, it matters how hard you are willing to work to get to where you want to be...get it...GET IT!!! Wish you the best...God bless!!! Ooooh rah!

(much older white suburbanite routing for you)

  • @sgtschmitty8013 ...now as a Marine corps you can kill legitimately, what an improvement!...as long as your not doing it in your own country and you kill indescriminately on behalf of your government it makes you a better person I suppose. Surely the fact that your only way out of your dificult circumstances was to enlist to fight wars and risk your life proves that its far from an ideal world you live in

  • @sgtschmitty8013 Thank you!

  • @sgtschmitty8013 You should be proud of yourself, I do not know If I grew up in your situation that I would have done the same thing.

  • @nutballgazette Thanks alot man.

  • @sgtschmitty8013

    God bless you!

  • Comment removed

  • an angry marine, that dont sound good

  • @sgtschmitty8013 So good luck!

  • @sgtschmitty8013 Isn't the Marino corps of USA the same? Stealing oil and shizz

  • @sgtschmitty8013 I am so happy and proud for you. You have a wonderful opportunity. And you can use your background as an excuse to release all your hate and anger loose on women children and the other people in your path or...you can be a real man and understand that as an American soldier you represent something, no matter where you are or what your mission is.

  • @sgtschmitty8013 I am glad you are serving the USofA!!!!!

  • If ever an angel were singing, Elvis is that angel. He reaches out to all people in all walks of life. Each and every word means something to someone somewhere

  • ℒℴνℯ.♥♥...People, don't you understand the child needs a helping hand

or he'll grow to be an angry young man some day.Take a look at you and me,

are we too blind to see, do we simply turn our heads

    and look the other way...★.!!!.!!!..☆.L.★☆★.I.☆★☆.M.♥❥❥

  • this is just a little part of my life he mentions i feel the pain everytime i hear this track

  • elvis ficara para sempre em nossas memorias, grande ELVIS!!!!!

  • I was 8 years old in 1972 when my Dad was killed, it broke my heart... I just started to recover in 1977 when Elvis died, and once again my heart was broken. I can remember rushing around to my friends house in tears, both my hero's gone.

At least with Elvis I'm reminded of his genius every time I hear his music. And this is one of my favourites. His voice is beyond comparison and always will be...

  • Cool brother

  • What a voice, They just dont make them like him any more.

  • how many X U going 2 post the same thing, get over it, I grew up with race stuff, its improved but is never going to be solved even in my granddaughters lifetime

  • @ricosuave2323 sorry not use to laptop i didnt mean to do thumbs down

  • Elvis is never been a racist man! that's a propaganda!

  • people say justin bieber i say elvis they say the jonas brothers i say the beatles they say kanye west i say tupac or biggie, anybody got anything else to add

  • i grew up in chicago projects and i heard a lot of elvis songs but this one didnt get any promotion after its initial run it is not a racist song because his heart wasnt in a racist place when he made it fuck being pc he had good intentions i heard he made racist comments in the past which is fucked up because he learned it all from us. but this song opens me up to forgiveness and understanding maybe he was trying to be cool when he said it but we can take this song as his atonement may he rip.

  • Magnifique !!!

  • I don't know which is more sad, the fact that some people think this song is intenionally "racist," or that we still have ghettos today? Good song though in my view.

  • GOOD!

  • Elvis FOREVER! I have loved his music since I was a kid, and I still do even now.

  • i love this song

  • @Ostlover1 varför gick du över

  • Weird, I was born in Chicago in 1969...

  • God is King not mere humans! I love Elvis and Michael, they were both very talented people but let fame and fortune destroy them as well as drugs. No disrespect for the dead but they should have cherished what they had instead of throwing it all away by doing drugs.

  • @SmileXD1835 Well said brother.

  • @SmileXD1835 Sorry, but you seem to be very believing. Plse do look behind the curtain! As soon as someone is famous and earns better than others, there are those dark figures around him, giving him the first shot for free, and once they are on the hook, they never let their milk cows out of their claws again. Until those poor souls are insane or dead. This is how it is!!!

  • Thanks for uploading this version, gaaronpresley

Yours has the female backup singers the others I listen too on youtube did not.

I like this one the best.

  • I wish people would stop comparing Michael to Elvis. People wish Michael was just like Elvis. But he is not, Michael is a Childmolester, and a wanna be white boy. He is the biggest racest person there is. Elvis on the other hand is by far the best there is, the best there was, and the best there ever will b. SO STOP COMPARING MICHAEL TO ELVIS.

  • mmm so dreamy

  • a poor little child was born in the ghetto who went on to break all Elvis' records and fuck his daughter haha

  • @BlueLeopard200 you sick bastard insulting michael jackson like that the fuck is wrong with you the mans dead for gods sake i mean he married her not raped her

  • words dont do justice to the KING, a beautiful song, ............

  • @13Boozebrothers no he wasnt the king michael jackson was

  • @fanbid .each to their own bro, you a youngster or you wouldn't say that lol, when ya get older you might feel different?. who care's? to me he was the king and alway's will be. oh and if you don't like it don't watch it?..........like go somewhere else or keep your comment to yourself. nobody forced you to watch this? or did they?

  • Wow, what a wonderful song. He was one of a kind, definitely the King. Can never get enough of his music.

  • One of my favorite Elvis songs, so much soul.

  • The King ('nuff said)

  • @william3231954 michael jacksons the king nuff said

  • @fanbid There wouldn't have been a Michael Jackson ,, without Elvis

  • @fanbid michael jackson is a childmolester!!!

  • Recorded in '69 but unfortunately still resonates in Chicago today

  • i was born after your death, but i miss you so !

  • This song came from his brain, not his heart. The heart just pumps blood. The brain does the rest. I know, I know, it's just a stupid expression.

Anyway the song came from his brain. That's above the heart.

  • This is greatest song ever.....

  • ..the hungry little boy with the runny nose...only Elvis could say something like that and get away with it lol

  • Before anybody did anything, Elvis did everything!

There's NO ONE like him. No one ever will BE like him. He was an original. So suck on that!

  • ok, we get it, he sings good. you guys act like the dude wrote the freaking song...lol. ridiculous, most over rated musician ever. we all know now he only sold what he sold cause he was a white dude who can sing like a black man. one person please tell me other wise that if any r and b or jazz singer back from the 1900's to even the 70's got the recognition, radio time and tv time like any white artist, the king of rock would be mediocre by comparison..he never wrote any of his songs..wtf man

  • @luigivocaturo how sad to have a chip on your shoulder. Get over it. There where plenty of Great WHITE artists of the day also...Where are they???? Elvis broke down that barrier for black folk, if it wasn't for him it may have been decades before black singers got the recognition they so rightly deserved. He was a fantastic singer, so what he didn't write songs? he did arrange them. Just plain BULLSHIT about the mediocre statement and the PROOF is in his popularity to this very day.

  • @luigivocaturo youre right =)

  • @luigivocaturo ,, you don't have to be a songwriter to be gifted,, Elvis helped music take the next step from Tin Pan alley to R&R and most music performers in the past 50 yrs will admit that he was a huge influence on them,,, one of the places the Beatles made it a point to visit when they were first in the USA was Graceland

  • He is the king for a reason. This song came from his heart. He was a man full of conviction. He was great!

  • Little to young to have been there but a great song.. Amazing how it still holds the meaning today!

  • Elvis Déus te abençoe voçe e imsuperavel e sempre sera Rei do Rock Roll.

  • GOD, i love him so much! <3 forever!<3

so beautiful in all ways, the greatest man ever <3

  • This is awesome, Thanks for posting it! The King forever we love you Elvis! Could someone please post Elvis & Lisa Marie Presley doing this song together in HD. I can't find it any where in HD! =)

  • Elvis is the true king! I have a Michael Jackson devoted channel, but if weren't for greats like Elvis, people like MJ would've been nothing. Elvis is the true king of music!

  • pure, raw talent....there will NEVER be anyone to compare to him again.....this is one of my many, many favorite songs of his.....

  • What a fabulous job!

  • Hi there gaaron, what a great song !!! you dont hear much music like this these days. i was brought up with this kinda stuff , it brings back memories and a tear to a glass eye.

  • I love this song. gives me goosebumps

  • rip elvis . thank you for your talent

  • luv this song, 1 of my favourites

  • @HYDROPODSBOD : Because he grew up dirt poor. Southern white trash ain't too far removed from the subject of the song.

  • @JimRichter ...................it's about as far removed as black is from white

  • @HYDROPODSBOD

He knew about being poor,he grew up in extreme poverty. Its pretty sad that you remember him as a fat hamburger junkie,he had too much talent to be remembered by that.

  • He was so beautiful and this song never fails to bring tears to my eyes **Thumbs UP** {{Heart!}}

  • erste klasse

  • I really love this song it touches everyone's hearts so all you people listen to this for he speaks the truth

  • Super !!! Very good !!!
