  • She looked better in 2005. And her song was better, too. But this one is always better than Diva.

  • hmmmmmmmmm yu sund gud

  • How an unlucky performer she was. She competed with wonderful entries in 98 and 2005 but those years Israel and Greek entries were terrific enough to beat any strong rival.

She tried again in 2009, unfortunately this time her entry was very average and couldn't get any place even in top 15.

  • Great voice no doubt about it. It should have won at that time :-)

  • nice song but Divaaaa is better ;)

  • Woww!!!! I listen to this song for the first time. I am from Macedonia, and I don`t get why we didn`t give any point to this song. It sounds perfect. Love and greetings from Macedonia...!!!!

  • the best!!!

  • She is like Mamma Cass!!

  • Wowww.. So simple and easy, but also so powerful!!! Great ballade.

  • HELLO FROM ISRAEL.....WOW,,THIS SONG SOOOOOOOOOOO NICE

  • We love you Chiara :) You're the best! We should have win in more years :)

  • i think it is better than diva it should have won

  • Still the best song ever on Eurovision

  • I am the only one who doesnt like her voice?

  • @LadyGagaCrew

    Yes !

  • @LadyGagaCrew

Yes and if u dont like it dont listen to her, personally its way better than the lady gaga s**t u listen to!!

This is what I call proper music!

  • @LadyGagaCrew Yes you are!

  • Poor Chiara she always takes the third or the second place

  • When I think of the shit we listen to year on year and this didn't win instead of that awful tranny.

  • Шикарный голос!!!! Почемуу лучшие не побеждают?...

  • I remember being 6 years old watching the competition with my parents. My mother really liked this song, so of course, it became my favourite too, because I did everything like my mom. I was so sad when she didn't win. I also remember that I thought that the woman's name was Malta, I didn't know it was a country!

  • @rifsberjasulta

Ohh !! :)) I was 3 and I also remember this song. I used to hate it :O .. My mum tells me that I started to cry when I heard this song .. I must say .. I was quite odd !! .. .This song is AMAZING !

  • thanks goes to macedonia who deprived us maltese of winning the eurovision for the 1st time (and probably the only time we had a chance)

  • @lexus5011 its not macedonia its fyrom

  • Belgium should have won!!

  • Does anyone have the karaoke version of this? xoxoxo

  • She is the best!!!

  • her voice is beautiful prosit chiara ibqa sejra hekk

  • @seanmPWH hahahahahahhahahahahahahhahaha

  • @seanmPWH LOL!

  • @seanmPWH I swear your voice is not as half as beautiful as hers, you dumb ass!

  • @cazclayton She came 3rd. UK came 2nd.

  • Malta you were robbed of your much desired Eurovision victory with this one.

  • @arob1nson completely agree!!!!!!

  • a lovely song, and a women with a bright smile ... she should have won ... no doubt... you just have to listen to her voice

  • how can macedonia..give 0 points to this song???

    Are they stupid?

if slovenia gave us more than just 3 points

    and macedonia gave us points

    MALTA WOULD HAVE WON..

it was a very clear political voting!

  • @europemale Yes. But wins transsex from Israel......ehhh

  • @europemale neither romania give one single point :(

  • I love chiara, her voice is fantastic and I hope she'll enter for Malta again in a future contest only perhaps not in a contest full of ballads (as they are Malta's main choice).

Shame her entry in 2008 was drowned out due to the number of ballads and should have got a better standing that it did.

But since this song was her first performance for Malta, Chiara did really well and it's lovely song but as for the comment saying it should of been longer, it wouldn't be allowed as it would go ove

  • @gaypanda well this year is not a balled hope u like :D

  • Love Chiara more 'n'n more!

    12 points from Armenia !

  • How lovely. Thank you for this wonderful performance.

  • BEAUTIFUL SONG, VERY STRONG SONG! BRAVO FOR CHIARA AND MALTA FROM SLOVENIA.

  • i cant believe that a trans shitty pop song of israel won the eurovision that year

    THIS WAS THE REAL WINNER!!

IT WAS ALL MACEDONIA S FAULT FOR NOT VOTING MALTA... MAYBE THEY CANT HEAR WELL!!

  • if it wasnt for macedonia and its political motives chiara would have won it.

  • It's so great to see Chiara develop over the years.

  • she is very beauty but too fat

  • @pokraku Is it so important. Doesn't her voice impress you just because of such an insignificant thing?

  • @pokraku i disagree .. this contest is not for the looks but the abilty of the singer when it comes to singing .. i this is a verp pefethic remark

  • Such a good song.. I think it should have won instead of Israel.

  • nice voice. she got the rhythm, very touching.

  • In my opinion she could of gotten to first place if only the song was longer and arranged better including a few better choice of words. It would of been perfect cos this is a very nice song but failed due to a poor song structure.

  • @maltijien All songs submiitted for participation in Eurovision must be no longer than 3 Minutes in length. This is a rule which is strictly upheld .

  • i can't belive Dana International won :\

i mean we all know why she won...but whatever, there were so many good songs,Malta,Croatia,Netherlands...

  • Her song was amazing. However, that year the top 3 all deserved to win.

If on they'd enter in seperate dreams.

  • What a great year for Eurovision. The top three songs would have all been winners any other year! Beautiful song from Malta x

  • Such a nice simple song , which compared to some of the more visual based eurovision performances we get now helps this to stand out! A much deserved 12points from the UK at the time! You gotta try again for Malta Chiara- maybe fourth time lucky!

  • should have won!!!!!! fuckin good song!

  • this is the closest malta ever came to winning the eurovision. It was robbed of the first place :(

  • it was a great year in Eurovision. generally 90s were so much better when it comes to music. we have crappy songs right now.

  • @sanikmne

and 80s were even better than 90s.

  • we love you chiaraaaaaa :)

  • @Bjuwti The 1 place in ESC 2005 is only you Chiara !

  • Of all the times that she went to Eurovision, this is the best. The others were boring. Of course, it was no better than Dana's and Imaani's

  • Thankfully that's not likely to happen viklondon!

  • Fatty got pounded by a transsexual!

  • @viklondon idiot get a life

  • @cherfab80 shut up and eat your burger you fat cunt

  • @viklondon anything to say with a little bit of quality?

  • @euromaitre ye, your mother's a fat whore. but she can give good quality blowjobs. you kunt

  • @viklondon Ur mum is the town whore ok who luvs to give blowjobs for free. get off the drugs and straighten up sicko

  • 2005 she was better

  • we had to win with this song! amazing.. maybe the best song malta has ever sent

  • good song !

  • PROSIT CHIARA

  • Chiara nice song Prosit

  • prosit , Vuci mill isbah

  • Great voice- Chiara is the best

  • The greatest Eurovision song of all time. Why don't they realise? I can't find it on iTunes, wonder why?

  • Perfect Song :D

  • I'm having this song as my first dance for my wedding, great lyrics.....

  • I'd love to hear her sing the next Bond Theme.

  • Malta should have won. Israel was good too but not so good as this Maltese entrie.

  • This should have won, and would have but for the hype of Dana International, and the Macedonians voting for their neighbours, and voting for the best song. Ironically, that year the UK's entry by Imaani was OK, coming second, but did not deserve to finish higher than this.

  • jien ma nafx... mela l-barranin kulhadd ifahhar lil Chiara, u ahna l-Maltin nikkritikaw dwar x'libset dakinhar. Nifilhu nkomplu naqghu iktar ghac-cajt? Ejjew ghal darba nkunu kburin ghaliex ahna Maltin u ma nkomplux inkasbru dak li hu taghna!

  • Is she the only singer in Malta? Ive seen her represent Malta a few times now....your milking it people.

  • VERY GOOD SONG BUT ISRAE WAS GOOD TOO

  • beautiful song

  • This is one of my favourite Eurovision songs. It was the year after I met my partner and we're still together. He bought me this single.

  • @MisterBlue55 wow that was a nice to hear since i love in Malta and that this song made such an effect in your lives. happy to hear :)

  • @MisterBlue55 but just remember... This song lost to Dana International... Just hope you dont lose your loving hubby to a transsexual!

  • GOOD SONG

  • 11 años no cambian

  • kemm kienet libset ikrah

  • bonitoooo recuerdo me trae escuchar esta cancion, pues tu Luis sabes que fue uno de los momentos mas felices de mi vida.

  • love the voice

  • She shouyld have won with this beautiful song in 1998.

  • this song is so powerful congrats chiara good job in 1998 2005 and 2009 I like best Malta and Israel

  • 1st malta

    2nd netherlands

    3rd uk

    25th israel.

  • 1st Croatia

    2nd Malta

    3rd Ireland

    5th Israel

15th UK=one of their many many overrated entries!!!!!!

  • Such a lovely voice, and the way she can control her voice is outstanding. Over the years she has deserved at least one victory for mlata. Keep trying Chiara.

  • i agree

  • she should have won in 1998 and 2005 but not this year unfornunatly

  • amazing voice. but she was better in '05 and '09. her outfits haven't improved much though.

  • She deserved her third place!

  • I disagree. She deserved FIRST PLACE

  • Hmm nah, i dont think so. But still, very impressing!

  • You came 19th so u have nothing to shout about

  • oh my, you got angry? Well, let's look at the most successfull countries of ESC... Is Malta there? oh, isn't it? Ohh i am shocked. Even Monaco has won more then you! Have you won even once? Oh you haven't, so skip tha attitude, I said nothing bad about Malta. I've liked malta's five last entries so please shut up and enjoy ESC instead of figthing of it!

  • For your info I am NOT from Malta. I am from Ireland.

  • So why get angry on me? Ireland has won 7 times, why get angry when I said Malta really did deserve their second place?

  • she's lovely xD

  • u r d one that i want to love MAR!!:p:p

TONIGHT WE WILL BEGIN OUR FAIRYTALE...

    MISSING MY CHERRY LIPS

    p.s. love this song

  • CHIARA ROCKS! Love this song)

  • but malta never wins, shiit i am from malta

  • im from malta aswell..but we didnt win becouse we dont have nghibours...most of the time...the winning palce..is that one we have more nghibours!!!!!!!!

  • u ghalqu halqkom sibtuha tajba dil iskuza tan neighbours

  • emm xi skkuza ohra????? ok ma kelnix diska li kella xi potenzjal din is sena...u forsi din kient lunika sena li ma kienx hemm hafna girin...imma still mijn jirbah ghax ikkun mimli girin..!!!!!!!!

  • great song and performance - does not top Mary Spiteris Little Child though.

  • I love this song, sad that she came at the 3 place in the end... She deserved to win!

But I did not like the song that she had this year, i eurovision so much. It was okey, but a litte childish...

But she is a better performer now, I think.

  • my got 1998. how long that was. i miss those times when i were 5 :) me dad still be alive.

  • heh sorry for ya dude

  • it's alrite.. i try not to think about it.

  • She got 166 points, not 165

  • Chiara's voice was the best that year - definitely better than Dana's - but this was a "song" contest and (although I didn't like Dana's performance that much) I think the Israeli song was simply better ...

  • I will never forget that year. We hear all the voiting on the radio in the car. She was FANTASTIC!!

  • she is nice/

why didn't they let her go last year instead of mr finelli?

  • that's amazing song... beautifull voice :)

  • She should sing for Disney

  • I have been looking for this song but couldn't remember the name of the artist ir the song and then, SUDDENLY! There she was in eurovision song contest again! Hehe and now I found the song. I LOVE it:)

  • Rofl same thing happened to me!

  • wow.. stunning voice,,

  • Ehh she's not changedmuch...

  • As much as I'm happy about Israel winning in 1998, Malta's song was better - it should have won.

  • I want this one song played at my wedding!

  • I totally can understand why!!

  • my gosh i remember we followed her at la grotta gozo u a huge screen every1 cheered for her that day wow

  • I'm portuguese and I paralized when I saw that voice yesterday. What a power. Yesterday's best ^^

I will sure vote for her ^^

  • She has a vonderful voice. But she is not as beautiful as her voice and that was why she didnt win in 1998. But this year its much better!

  • Her voice can make every song sounds great Beautiful voice.........best voice in all Eurovisions :)

  • WHAT is she wearing? Just because you're plus size doesn't mean you have to dress in outifts like that one...

  • it's what she was given. this was 1998.....

  • Can't she chose clothes on her own? Isn't it any designers on Malta that could make a nice dress for her? I remember 1998 and she was the only one who entered the stage in a pyjamas.

  • inspire - it was not her fault. She was only 20 years old back than, very young and naive. The Maltese organisers did not think she would do good, so they did not even bother to invest in a dress for her. She once said on tv she went to Dorothy Perkins or Evans while she was in Birmingham, bought the dress and asked the salesperson to remove the dress from the window, so no one else buys it. But the result she obtained just shows how a true voice on its own can rule.

  • Of course she has a great voice, but I'm not going to neglect the fact that the clothes ARE important for a singer. Anyway, I hope she will do good in the semifinal (in a fashionable and flattering outfit).

  • Of course, and you're right. I only explained to you the story behind that dress. Now people have learnt their lesson not to underestimate her. It was a pity really, because that tiny detail probably had cost her a victory.

  • You're very right. This was Malta's best chance at Eurovision and the amateurs who organised the thing blew it.

This year's song is good, she looks better but the song is hardly as good as this one.

  • I happen to think her entry from 2009 is her best - especially lyrically. When I listen to "Angel" I only hear uninspired clichés, and when I hear "The one that I love" I get distracted by lines like "I think I love you so" and later on "I'm certain and now I know". 2009 might be her year.

  • That is true. Those two verses are entirely out of place in the whole song. Angel was very clichéd too.

This year's song is technically very challenging for Chiara. You might not know that Chiara refuses to prepare her voice before her songs... she doesn't do any voice warming exercises and she built her own singing technique... She doesn't go to singing lessons and does it all by herself

That is why I am most worried this year - if ever, this is the year she's most likely to make mistakes

  • Oh, I had no idea! Why doesn't she perform any voice warming exercises? I mean, isn't it dangerous to not do so? Sweden's singer this year said that the vocal cords are muscles, and just like an athlete has to warm up before a competition, a singer has to do the same. Several superstars have suffered from great detoriorations in their voices. I hope Chiara doesn't have to experience the same.

  • Told you she'd struggle. Did you watch her yesterday?

  • I did! She wasn't as vocally convincing as she was in 2005. Especially in the first verse she seemed to have a hard time hitting the right notes. I bet she will be placed 5th to 7th in the finale, which of course is okay but I'm sure she aims higher.

  • Unfortunately it's to be blamed on her refusal to take vocal exercise lessons, but oh well... it's too late to speculate on such matters anyway - I just wonder what the Maltese contingent did about it.

  • she was exited.. if u see other vids of what if we u'll see that she does it gd :)

  • gr8 gr8 gr8 cant say more .. just more powerful this year malta 2010:D (L)

  • Wonderful voice, but the styling is really boring!

  • Chiara & her wink :D. Gotta love it.

I was too young to vote but it probably deserved to win, but Israel was insane that year (and thats coming from a Brit who likes Chiara & Matla's songs normally).

Any other year and it would have won!

  • I'm a brit that loves Chiara & Malta songs also :O We should totally start a support group!

  • israel winner because trans because :( chiara is the best winner you

  • true

  • This was a great contest. There were about 6 or 7 countries who could have won but this was the best in my opinion!!! My top ten: 1) Malta 2) UK 3) Netherlands 4) Israel 5) Croatia 6) Ireland 7) Sweden 8) Norway 9) Belgium 10) France
  • beauty:)love you poland

  • The bast song and singer ever in Eurovsion. If the politics didn't work against Malta....
